I bought this 4k tv after doing ample research and could not be happier. Great picture and the 4k HDR picture is amazing. Easy setup. I would have liked more connection options as this has HDMI only but that is easily forgotten after seeing the quality of the picture. Samsung hit a homerun with this one.

I recently bought a sony 65x930d, I loved the tv until i noticed vertical banding(shadows that run from top to bottom)on the screen. I returned it and got another 65x930d..........same exact problem. My second pick in the price range was this Samsung 8000 series. I love it, it is easy to use, everything works well, picture is very good. Overall it is a great tv. Now opposed to more expensive models it does fall short, however for the price I think that it is very well worth it.

This Samsung model was a great price for the features and picture quality it has. The next model up was another $500 and it didn't really give you much in the way of more a better picture. I think this Samsung model is the sweet spot for price and quality. My son also got the same model and loves it

So I have mixed feelings with my tv. Overall it is amazing as far as the design and picture quality. However I have some issues with my gaming systems. It will randomly change the input to my Nintendo switch even when it is not on and the screen will go black randomly with my other systems plugged in. Not sure if this is an issue with the one connect box but I have friends with the same tv and they all have the same issue. If they can be fixed then it’s a great tv.

I couldn't be happier with the picture. All HD content looks high quality 4k and hdr is definitely worth the extra $$$. The remote takes a bit to get used to but other than the number scroll (which who changes channels with their TV remote any more) it works great. Overall, highly recommend.

Wonderful quality. Clear crisp image and amazing finish on the edge. Staff was exceptionally helpful.

The tv is awesome for viewing all types of shows, the clarity adds depth to the characters almost as if you are watching live tv. The smart tv function is great to watch shows recorded on your home network. I have had the chance to watch movies I have downloaded to my pc and the clarity is awesome.

I spent months researching for the best tv to handle my ps4 gaming and bluray watching needs and unless your willing to spend big bucks on a oled tv this is by far the best tv at 65 you can buy! Very little input lag for gaming and black blacks for blurays. Samsung has converted a lifelong sony tv fan!

Happy with my purchase, I would make the same selection again. Debated between a few different models and brands but I am very pleased with the quality of picture and product itself. User friendly interface. Simple setup. Simply what I would expect from a top model from a top brand. No complaints :)

I recently decided to upgrade my 5 year old Sharp 60". I tried to go cheap and bought a lower end LG 65" 4k TV. After one day of messing around with the settings on that I realized that the picture quality was not good. returned it and decided to take advantage of the sale price on this Samsung. I know Samsung has a reputation for making high quality TVs. Got it home, plugged it in, set it up, and WOW. So far this TV is meeting every expectation I had on what a 4k TV should do. It was well worth spending the extra money to buy a better TV. Also purchase a Vizio sound bar with Subwoofer to go with it and it is like a true home theater system so far. Beautiful TV!

I BOUGHT A APPLE TV TO GO WITH THIS TV AND I HAVEN'T USED IT ONCE - THIS TV IS SO AMAZING - FIRST THE PICTURE QUALITY IS SUPERB - THE BUILT IN APP FEATURES ARE NICE AND THE UNIVERSAL REMOTE WORKS GREAT. GETTING MY SONOS PLAYBAR CONNECTED WAS A LITTLE TRICKY, BUT ONLINE FORMS CAN HELP WITH THAT.

This is my first 4K tv and non Sony. Over all I really like this TV and everything it can do. It has just about all the streaming apps i could ask for and such a amazing picture. Now I can go on and on about how great this TV is and everything it comes with, but I wont do that. Instead ill name a few of the main issues I've had and things i wish i would have known before buying. Firstly i love to watch a lot of streaming media like Vudu and Netflix. I was very dissapointed in learning that the Vudu app on this TV does not support any 4K UHD movies you might own. That was a real bummer for me. Secondly, this tv has a very glossy screen and unless your watching something bright and colorful your gonna get reflections. None of my Sony's ever had this issue so its pretty annoying. Third, It can be hard to get the right picture setting. I feel like i have to go into the settings and adjust the picture quality on a regular basis depending on what i'm watching. Constantly adjusting the brightness. Fourth, While watching Netflix in HDR (Iron Fist) the screen would auto darken to a point where I couldnt make out any details. I have all the auto settings turned off but that didnt help. Those are the 4 main grips i have with this tv and wish i knew about before hand. Over all i really like this tv and recommend it.

I have owned this tv for a year now and the picture is amazing. So good I purchased two of them.

I was really cautious about stepping into the 4K market. Honestly, I was tempted to just wait another year because I felt 4K still needs a little time to become mainstream. The only 4K device that I had was my PS4 Pro and of course my PC if I felt the need to use my TV as a monitor. I saw the deal they had on this TV and went and ahead and just told myself to do it and now that I'm just a few days into my purchase I'm glad I made this decision. A few quick notes about an HDR TV if this is your first time owning one. HDR is NOT turned on by default. So if you turn on a device that is HDR compatible you will need to go into the settings, which is set up so very nice and easy to navigate, and ensure that it is on for your input. One other thing, the little hub that comes with the TV is pretty sweet. I was wondering about how I was going to get all my cables managed and this little thing helped me do the trick. I could go on and on about this TV but overall I am very pleased. So far so good!

This TV is amazing. Fantastic picture and easy to use. Using the remote for putting in web addresses is not the easiest but I don't do it much so no worries there. I just down loaded the Samsung app for my phone and now its a breeze. Would not trade this TV for any other brand out there!

I bought this TV right before they sold out of the 2016's to start selling the 2017's. It was much cheaper but with essentially the same design and features. The picture is amazing and the bezels are unbelievably thin. If you watch any 4K HDR content you can really see the TV shine.

The picture is so clear that movies and shows almost look unproduced. They look so real! The colors are amazing, the contrast is great and the sound with my new sound bar is fantastic. If I had one complaint, it is that there is a glare because the tv is shiny, but we don't mind that much.

After my old Visio TV died, I decided to try a Samsung unit. My research lead to my selection of the 8500 series that was purchased. So far, the TV has met or exceeded my expectations. Picture quality is fantastic. The unit was easy to set-up and the smart remote control works great.

If you are part of the Samsung Ecosystem, this TV fits in perfect for you. My phone, tablet and Smart Home security are all Samsung (SmartCam) so this TV is incredible in my opinion as I can broadcast everything seemlesy to the screen on the TV. Super thin TV, it is very beautifuly designed and preforms flawlessly. I have 1 other 4k TV of another brand and this Samsung just blows it out of the water. The only thing bad I will say about it, and the only reason I will not give it all 5 stars, is it was advertised to come Smarthings ready, Samsung's smarthome Internet of things ecosystem. The Smarthings app comes pre-installed on the TV, but the TV was supposed to come with a hub that plugs into the back of the TV. If you are familiar with Smartthings, you need a hub that plugs into your modem (similar to the philips hue hub), but with this TV, you plug the stick hub into the back of the TV instead, and your TV becomes the Hub. This was advertised at CES, but when the TV came to release date it wasn't ready so while the app was installed on the TV, the Hub stick is not available, not free in the box like it was scheduled to be, nor do they offer it for sale separately, it just doesn't exist yet. Other than that... I am in love with this purchase all the way around.

This is one of the NICEST tv's you will ever buy. LG's OLED's may supposedly have better blacks, but everything else is on par. Plus you can't beat the price to performance ratio this tv will give you. More bang for the buck. And it just looks oh so beautiful compared to other tv's.
