    Samsung warranty is bad

    I purchased this and had it delivered. I travel so only watched TV for about 15 hrs over the first month and a half, at which time an on-screen message asked me to do a software upgrade which seemed to go well. About two hours later the screen began to fail. I contacted Samsung and they refered my to their local repair service NISI. Aftrer several calls and a failed attempt due to wrong address, they finally came, but had told me that the unit had to be unmounted from wall for them to look at it. While unmounting I put a 2" scratch on corner of screen. When they arrived , they took pictures of the screen which was showing a double image and also took picture of scratch. I never heard from them again. I had to call Samsung to find out that due to the scratch , the warranty was voided. I tried to explain that the scratch had nothing to do with the electronic failure of the screen but they would not listen. I will NEVER buy another Samsung product again. And this includes anything with the Samsung name on it.

    Theres a lot of motion blur. For example, Im watching Star Wars Force Awakens and ther's blurry trailing behind the tie fighters when they move. Anything that has fast movement shows blurry trailing images... its annoying. Gonna try and return this expensive TV if possible.

    Partly TV problems/Partly Best Buy Service

    I bought an open box Ks8000 for $1673 about 3 weeks ago and was told I have 30 days to return/exchange because I'm an elite member. the TV worked great for 3 weeks. At the 3rd week the smart hub stopped recognizing devices hooked into the TV like the Cable box, Xbox, etc... After contacting samsung and have them fix/troubleshoot the problem within 2 days it returned. On a side note during this 3 weeks for almost 2 weeks the TV went down to $1499 brand new at best buy. Now on the 2 days before the end of my return period I want to exchange the TV for the exact same TV and they want me to pay the difference. That's poor customer service..

    Samsung quality going downhill FAST

    I have purchased 7 Samsung TV'S in the last three years all 55" and larger. All have worked flawless up until I purchased the KS8000 65". Two issues. 1st- the central cable hub/box failed. Poor resolution through it. 2nd and most important- Samung used glue and used double sided tape to attach the back panel!!! I could see LED light from the top and sides where it was separating. 1/16" gap!!! All my other tv's use screws.VERY poor engineering and design. Took it back the next day, and...the store displays were doing the same!!!!! Search the Internet and you will find all sorts of info on this problem. DO NOT BUY. Bought the LG OLED and love it!! Pretty bummed about Samsung quality. Note 7's, Front load washers and the 7000, 8000 and 9000 series tv's. Horrible customer service as well.

    This would've been a great TV, if it lasted longer than a year and a half. TV had good black levels and ok colors. Greatest when playing something in 4K, only ok at upconverting lower resolution items.

      Thank you for your review of this Samsung TV. It sounds like the issue with the darkening might be due to the ECO Sensor or Motion Lighting features. These features automatically adjust the brightness level of the TV in response to ambient light level, and on-screen movements to reduce power consumption.

      To control these features, please go to Home > Settings > System > Eco Solution
      You can select Min. Backlight to manually adjust the minimum screen brightness.

    This specific model had to be returned due to a problem with the picture...purple color tone appear after several weeks of use...Samsung and Best Buy refunded our money and applied it to newer better model

    I have owned a Panasonic HD TV for 5 years, and finally decided to make the move to a SUHD. I have read the reviews on the UN65JS7100 and the UN65JS8500 with all the great reviews, but because this UN65KS8000 is new there were very few and kind of a mixed bag of feedback. First off let me tell you - THIS TV IS GREAT!!! For only $2,249 at BB, you cannot beat it...less money than a JS8500. Quality. - blown away. The colors, B&W levels, refresh, ALL amazing. Remote - people trash the remote...perhaps it is expectations. I love it. I use DirecTV and out of the box it recognized my DirecTV connect and the remote handles all of the functions and was quote intuitive. It simple layout and hardly any buttons. You may think at first that is too scarce but believe me it will handle 99% of everything you need. You can even speak instructions into it and have things like channels changes or volume or whatever...again...AMAZING. Watched Star Wars Awaken today - what's that word again..oh yea AMAZING. Controlled my Panasonic Blueray from the Samsung remote without problem I have a Panasonic Soundbar and wireless sub...plugged into the HDMI box and worked...no setup required. I highly recommend this TV to anyone looking to get into SUHD. Perhaps those with bad reviews had a newer TV than mine (current UHD or something) and of course out oh tens of thousands made someone is going to get a lemon - buy from a reputable authorized dealer like Best Buy and don't worry about it...they will replace it so don't give a bad review for pixels or problems out of the box...it happens. SUMMARY - buy this TV while it is on sale...you will no be disappointed
