We did a lot of research before purchasing this TV. We have only ever had plasmas as our large, main viewing televisions so the move to LCD was worrisome. We chose this model over others because of our previous record with Samsung and rtings.com reviews. We weren't interested in a curved television and would have preferred OLED but the prices just haven't come down enough yet. All that said, we really love this TV. The picture is obviously much brighter than our 7 year old Panasonic plasma and this brightness is a remarkable difference during daylight viewing. We haven't calibrated it but the colors look best on "movie" mode. Even on this mode the colors are still colder than I'd like and noticeable when compared directly to the plasma. That said, they're in different rooms and not something most people are going to notice. The smart tv features work really well and are an upgrade to last year's similar system (JS8500) - providing previews and recommendations before you even activate the apps. I am not a big fan of the stand - too shiny and cheap looking, but it does have two adjustable sizes which is nice. The bottom border of the TV is chrome and not my favorite but the rest of the bezel surrounding the TV is beautiful. The reduction in size over last year's JS8500 really makes the picture look as though it's hovering by itself. Comparing picture quality to the JS8500, I think the KS8000 is a bit better. It appears to get much brighter and the blacks look even darker. I would highly recommend this TV and the current prices have really made it a bargain (~1500 for 65 in) when compared to other offerings. If you don't like the design as much, opt for the 9000 which is a big nicer but about the same picture quality. Overall, the design isn't that bad and mostly fades away at this size range.

Set up was easy. Still learning all the settings and aps. Picture quality not the same for all channels but most likely due to our cable supplier. Sound better than expected for a slim TV. Overall great product.

Hands down the absolute best TV that I've ever owned. Great picture , super smart , super simple and super light

use it mainly for gaming (great input lag for a 4k tv), and some movies. i'd give it 4.5 stars if i could. it has a good picture, and for the price i think it is a great tv. i like the OS on the TV, pretty simple to navigate. The program guide for OTA stations is nice. I think the picture, colorwise, is better on my sony w900a (1080p only), which is why i give 4.5 stars instead of 5. as far as a tv used for gaming, there's no better value than the 8000 series.

The 65 SUHD Samsung is awesome. The picture is beautiful and couldn't ask for an easier set up. Great price too.

Great t.v. Excellent picture, quick easy setup. Replaced my 60" samsung plasma and i do not regret my dicision.

I bought this TV after seeing my sister had bought the curved 8500 series , and I just loved the picture and clarity of hers and that's when I had to go to Best Buy and make a purchase of my own which this 8000 was on sale and I don't regret making his purchase I can see myself keeping this for atleast the next five years , I highly recommend this tv to anyone , great features when you add some wifi to it !! Don't contemplate on this purchase just do it !!

Trim is very narrow so the view is all picture and little frame. Excellent picture quality. Set up was easy.

My old Sony Bravia was starting to lose pixels and was also just a 'dumb' TV. So decided to update and get a 'smart' TV. After looking at a Sony again, and the LG and Samsung, I finally decided on the Samsung 65" 4K. What a fantastic TV!!!! I am amazed at the sharp picture and the details of things on the screen that were not there in my old Sony. Wish I had bought the Samsung sooner. I am very pleased with the Samsung. A great Christmas present to myself!!

Clear pic good apps the voice remote is easy ..I love you can mirror pics and videos from your iPad to the tv

Easy setup, great picture. Remote is plain and simple to use. Has two feet instead of pedestal, not sure if this is better or not. I'm satisfied with my purchase, but have only had it for less than a month.

This UN65KS8000FXZA television is beautiful to look at. It's thin, has a small silver bezel, and a great picture. I also like the small advanced remote. Would recommend this to anyone considering a 4K TV.

I finally talked my husband into a new TV (we had an old projection TV). We decided on the 65" Samsung after much research and talking to friends and family. I am so glad we did!!! This TV has a amazing picture and is just the right size. The sound quality on all the new TV aren't great but we got a sound bar from Samsung to go with it and couldn't be happier!!!

This Tv is definitely worth the price. Awesome picture quality and good HDR+ feature. Very easy to set up.

I bought for use with PS4 pro and there are issues of black screens. I would have preferred the X930D from Sony but didn't want to pay the higher price for similar quality. It's good and HDR looks nice.
