Doesn't work properly. It is being replaced. So far I'm very disappointed in the product, and getting it corrected had been a headache. Sales people told me things that were not true.

Got this TV to replace an LG 60 inch, the LG wasn't an OLED, but besides costing more than this Samsung QLED, I read OLEDs can have "screen burn" issues like the old plasmas so went with the Samsung QLED. Now, at 1299.00 this is Samsung's entry level QLED TV in a 65 inch, so they do cut a few corners to keep it at a lower price point, but most of it is unnoticeable or barely perceptible- only the edge lit LED panel lighting, instead of full array LED lighting is noticeable, but only very briefly when you change channels, not when you're actually watching. A very small nitpick. Other than that, its *superb*, with amazing color and detail, its also excellent with black and other dark colors as well since it has local dimming, and it has great motion handling. Easy set up, everything worked flawlessly right out of the box. I connected my LG soundbar with the digital fiber optic input which means you can run a soundbar in tandem with the TVs speakers, or just the soundbar by itself. The TVs internal speakers are impressive on their own, 2 speakers plus a sub, 40 watts, so in other words you may not even need a soundbar. But there's no such thing as too many speakers, so I am running both with mine. I was so impressed with the default color settings I left them alone, I bumped up the brightness a tad and that's it, it comes with some of the Eco settings turned on which made it a bit too dim in a bright room so most of the Eco settings got the boot, (although it does have selectable ambient lighting conditions dimming which is pretty cool) and now I just sit mostly sit back and marvel at just how good this thing really is. Absolutely no regrets.

High End Quality for Decent Price

We upgraded from a 55" Samsung Curved 6000 series to this television and the difference is mind-blowing. While this is the lowest end of the Samsung Q series, the quality is fantastic. This TV gets much brighter than our old one and many others we looked at during our shopping, which makes the color pop and contrast so much more detailed. Has true 4K and true HDR with a universal remote that automatically connected our soundbar and Fire TV - the remote itself is as good as the expensive harmony remotes. We use Fire TV with Netflix and Hulu as well as a PS4 Pro. All devices and shows we have played with look incredible. Highly recommend for those looking to get into the QLED technology at a price that's less than a used vehicle.

Bottom line - we love it - finally

I wrote another (somewhat negative) review on this TV and my purchase experience, but it never showed up so I'm trying again. Basically it's been a saga of sorts, as I'm on my 3rd TV of the same model. The good news is the saga (hopefully) is resolved and I'm moving forward with my new TV which I love. Purchased from Best Buy online on a Black Friday deal a week before Thanksgiving. Set it up T-giving day. Two hours into watching - it quit. The tech at Samsung said it was defective, so we returned for exchange for new TV. Everyone at BB was very nice and happily exchanged my TV. The problem I did not realize until I got home was that they gave me an open-box store demo. Ugh! Couldn't take it back right away due to the holiday and an hour drive away. We used it for almost 2 weeks since I had an extended return period through the holidays. Finally returned for a brand new (never opened) box and as expected, we love it. One thing to note here is that even with the problems we had, we stuck with BB and the same model/brand TV.
Keep in mind I'm coming from a smaller 1080P non-smart plasma, so I'm easily impressed. I based my purchase decision on the Black Friday deal of $1,299, which was about $100 more than the top of the line Samsung non-QLED NU8000 while grading out only slightly higher. I also wanted the Ambient mode not offered by the lower end models.
As for picture settings, I used the Rtings.com website suggestions as a baseline and tweaked from there. My source material is Xfinity cable, which includes Prime Video, so I have not used the smart features much - but they seem to work fine. The only negative for me is with the 240 motion rate, which is really 120hz enhanced by internal software, but still does not compare favorably to my old plasma. I guess is pretty standard for LED TVs, so the trade off is worth it.
If you can find this TV for the price I paid (or less), go for it. Otherwise, the NU8000 may be worth a look.

Great TV, Wonky Remote

Easy to set up quickly out of the box. I only made a few tweaks to the picture settings as it was a bit too dark for my likes - the contrast was off. Otherwise, the image the TV puts out is fantastic, but keep in mind it's only as good as the input.
I did not download the Samsung app during setup as I had no desire to constantly use my phone and share that data with Samsung. I also declined sharing my info with Samsung. I've got a 4K game console hooked up to the TV, so I use that for YouTube, Netflix, Amazon Prime, etc.
The sound on this TV is actually pretty impressive. I will continue to use the Bose soundbar, but if you're not going with a surround system or don't want to spend extra money on a sound bar, the audio for the TV is actually pretty good relative to other TVs in this class.
My only gripes - the cord for the TV is def low profile if you decide to mount the TV to a wall, but the cord is pretty darn short. Secondly, I don't like having a TV this large and not have a swivel base. The remote is somewhat annoying if you want to change channels. I would recommend a universal remote that can control the TV as well as your peripherals.
Overall, I'm very happy with the TV and fingers crossed it holds up well over time.

After much deliberation I chose this TV . It was between lower class 75 inch and something like this but ultimately we chose this to replace existing sony x750 65 inch in bedroom and and put new samsung there and older tv in living room. So far no issues had the TV running about 20 hrs last 3 days watching movies I know on cable and from USB stick . Colors and contrast are awesome. Blacks are truly black. No backlight bleeding to speak of. However I noticed TV seems to very slightly pixelate during fast motion scenes. SONY didn't do that. I think sonys have better processors for smoother play a picture. It happens randomly and seldom but it is there. One little tip... tv is very bright so i enabled eco mode ambient light dimming detection so it doesnt burn our eyeballs in the dark. But it was set to 5 value for backlight. I changed it to 25 -30 and normal is daytime is 40. So you can see the tv dim just a hair but not so much its too dark and bland.
Cable routing in TV legs is a nice touch and you don't see any cables. Cool

I bought this TV for my craft room and originally wasn't looking to spend over $1K. I have a couple of smart tv's and the user interface isn't all that great so that was my original ask. A decent TV with an easy user interface. The sales guy pointed me to this model, saying that it is on sale and his dad just bought one and loved it. The TV was extremely easy to set up and I had it working in less than 15 minutes out of the box. The one problem I had was connecting it to my network. The first try in connected and no problems. Next morning, it wasn't connected and no amount of attempts would get it connected. This is in my basement so I wondered if I had a dead spot in the wifi and bought a wifi extender. Still no luck. I called Samsung service, which was very good but they couldn't get it to connect either, suggesting an extender that I had already tried. Finally I changed the network password and the tv connected perfectly and hasn't lost connection since. I'm not a techy person so I have no idea why this worked but I've seen others mention this.
The TV is just amazing. I hate to turn it off. My next Best Buy visit I looked the sales guy up and thanked him for pointing me to this TV. I wish I had one in every room.

Price does not match the quality

Overall a good tv. Unfortunately after year 3, a line developed down the middle of the screen. The speakers are lacking quality, often sound "fuzzy". I am going on 6 years of ownership, but I do not believe the quality matches the cost. Almost $2k for this Samsung; unfortunately it is only worth about 1,000

Perfect for gaming!

This set surpassed my expectations. I bought this with gaming in mind at 80% of my use. I didn't want to spend the extra 1k+ for the Q7 or Q8 when the Q6 has better input lag overall and offers all the same features as the others in that regard. My last Samsung purchase was the JS9000 that I paid 3k for and this base model Q6fn has better color quality and more features, I was amazed. So if you are a gamer, look no further, this set is hands down the best option especially if you own an Xbox to take advantage of the VRR support. Very happy with this purchase!

The best value for a premium 4K television

Picture clarity is excellent and colors are extremely vibrant. Apps work as they should and the microphone on the Remote allows you to search for items in YouTube using your voice. As with most televisions a sound bar is recommended. Built in Bixby service is a nice addition.

Vizio P Series Killer
Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.
I first purchased the Vizio P Series because of the expert reviews that I read online. The Vizio should out perform the Samsung Q6 because of the full array back lighting, it only beats the Samsung on paper. The Vizio has a horrible picture on anything that isn't 4K content. The main reason I returned it was because it kept shutting down and yes I checked the energy saver settings. The Samsung looks great and performs so much better than the Vizio with all content that I tried so far. The picture on the Q6 is beautiful with deep blacks and vibrant colors. The sound quality is only average, not really an issue if you use a sound bar. I just wish I wouldn't have listened to the "expert" reviews online that said the Vizio was better, it would have saved me from having to return that big tv to the store.

I was VERY skeptical about spending this much on a TV. I thought, will I really even notice a difference once I get home with this TV? But let me tell you. I NOTICE A BIG DIFFERENCE. Prior to this purchase, I had a $350 ordinary 4K 40-inch TV. The best part about this QLED TV is that I don’t see any glare. I have floor-to-ceiling windows as one of my “walls” and I had to keep my shades down with my prior TV. Now I have the shades up and I can see the TV screen perfectly without glare. This alone makes it worth the cost! And the details are amazing! LOVING THIS TV AND WISHING I HAD GOTTEN IT SOONER!!!

Very pleased with this TV. The picture clarity is as good as advertised, which is to say amazing. Set-up was an absolute breeze. I especially appreciate all the built-in apps. SlingTV, YouTube, Google Play, Vudu--they're all there plus many more. No more need for my Roku stick or my Chromecast!
As many have noted, the bolts required to mount the TV on the wall are not included so you'll need to make a trip to the hardware store for those. Page 7 of the User Manual that comes in the box tells you the size you'll need. Also, the top two spacers don't seat all the way in the screw hole. This is by design because the back of the TV isn't flat. I looked super-weird to me at first but it worked like a charm.
