Excellent tv
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This tv exceeds my expectations. Everyday I learn something new about its capabilities. Not only does it have awesome features the quality of the picture is amazing. Honestly the first couple of days of having it I had buyers remorse. I thought that the remarkable picture clarity made most movies so realistic that they seemed cheesy and low budget. There was definitely an adjustment period going from a normal lower quality flat screen to the QLED. Since getting acclimated to it though, I wouldn't change a thing with my decision to purchase this tv. It was expensive, but well worth the price. The design is very sleek. All of the cords are hidden in the neck of the base and the connections are covered by a panel in back. The remote will program to any device, making it so you can eliminate having ten remotes laying around. There is a voice command on it also which will assist you in doing different things on the tv. When Samsung labels it as a smart tv, it's not a joke. My finances favorite thing to do in the mornings is turn it on and ask it what the weather is like outside. It will then proceed to pull up the current forecast for our area. Hands down I give this tv five stars. When someone new comes over it is definitely a topic of discussion. I love it and couldn't be happier.

Not quite OLED yet
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. From a design standpoint, this TV is wonderful. They were very thoughtful in separating the "smarts" of the TV and putting them (and all inputs/outputs) in a box that fits nicely with other stereo or electronic components. The TV then becomes super thin, allowing it to hang on the wall with only a power cord and a very tiny optical cable that transfers the audio/video from the box to the screen. The colors are amazing, with some I feel like I've never seen before on a TV. If you have it it a room with lots of lighting or natural light, this TV is great! Brightness levels are wonderful, but regardless of what they say, it's still an edge lit LCD - which shows when you have mostly dark or black screens and something very bright pops up. For me, this is in my living room with lots of windows and light, so I'm very satisfied with over quality and great looks. If I were to put this in a theater room, I'd pass and go with an OLED.

Another excellent product from Samsung.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This TV has the best color and clarity of any Samsung I have bought to date. The virtually frameless screen and ultra thin design are great features from a viewing experience perspective and overall appearance. Well worth the money.

High quality TV
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The picture is so crisp and we love the sleek design of the TV! Only complaint is that you can’t rotate the screen like with other models. Guess we just need to buy a mount for it!

Brilliant
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Love this tv. Great picture. Love the ONE control remote. Also live the tiny almost invisible one control wire. No more wires running to tv and then to components... Just one small thin line to a control unit where you then plug all components. Great design. Very thin.

Nice sleek tv
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Tv is very sleek and thin. Love the smart remote that instantly connects to all my devices. Picture quality is nice with 4K but has room to be even better. Overall was a great purchase for the open box price I received.

Great TV
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Samsung QLEDs are their top tier 4K TVs. I owened a Samsung SUHD (the former top tier prior to QLED) & there is a very noticeable difference in picture quality. Samsung has def done more than just rebrand the SUHD. QLED has great pic quality & a great user interface for SMART TV apps (Hulu, Netflix, etc). Also, the One Connect box that is included gives the TV a really clean look when mounted to the wall. You only have to run one thin Fiber Optic up to the TV (I put mine behind the wall).

A bit disappointed
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I normally like (and still like) Samsung TV's. On the plus side, this TV has a great picture in the store (of course). I like the design, the build quality and the whole interface. But, when you bring it home to real world television and watch 1080i regular tv shows/movies...not that great. My 3 year old $800 50" Samsung was just as good. If you watch a lot of movies in HDR...sure it's a great picture but for your average tv shows and tv movies, I noticed a lot of color banding or gradient color issues. I also had an issue with judder. I've tried to like this tv and made all sorts of adjustments but I was not happy with it. So I returned it and maybe holding out for the Q8FN with full array. Lets hope there's improvement.

Good TV
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Good Picture. The one connect box and remote set this TV apart from the others. It gives it a very clean look. I purchased this TV just before Christmas when prices were at the lowest. If you are looking for sleek design this is the set. If not, there are other sets for less that have a better picture.

Great TV with excellent picture
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a great TV with excellent picture. This is my 4th Samsung LED television and they are always top notch. It is very slim which is great for wall mounting and the smart interface works really well. Be prepared to tie up an extra outlet for the smart connect which needs its own power source.

Amazing - with one small error
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Overall the TV is great. Love the sleek look and design. Easy to hang and cable manage. Love the look of 4K Blu Rays on it. One small problem is a thin red line that will flicker from time to time. It is very quick so you have to pay attention is annoying when you see it. Reading reviews on various sites it sounds like this is an issue with a good amount of Samsung TVs when in game mode. So not an issue for those who don’t game. Sounds like there is no fix currently but since it is just game mode maybe there will be at some point.

Minimal improvement, maximum price.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. For those unfamiliar with QLED's, they are Samsung's flagship sets for 2017. Samsung is the only one of the big three TV manufactures that did not release an OLED for 2017, so to remain competitive, Samsung released their QLED. Once again, note that the QLED is still a LED and not an OLED so a comparison cannot be made with an OLED since they are different technologies. This review will focus on the Q7 and compare it to similar LED televisions. The design aspect of the Q7 is both gorgeous and deceptively costly. The borders of the TV are very small, and the screen comes near the very edge. The set is also very thin and can be mounted very close to the wall. The Q line can be augmented to increase its design with Samsung's no gap wall mount, gravity and easel stands. While optional, these accessories cost extra in addition to the TV (for instance the no gap mount is $150 while the gravity stand will be much more), but are strictly optional. What is not optional, is the One Connect Box. While the MU series uses the smaller One Connect Mini we're all use too, the Q series uses a massive box that oddly enough, requires a separate power cord. This is a nuisance if you did not plan for it. You may be out of electrical outlets on your wall/surge protector, or not have any viable place to hold the large One Connect Box. This is not a deal breaker by any means, just something to be aware of. The picture quality of the Q7 is the most important aspect of the TV. The set uses Quantum Dots to get its color. The Quantum Dot technology is nothing new, in fact it was a big selling point to KS series of last year and has been used by other manufactures. The Q series uses a more robust version of Quantum Dots and does improve its color over last year's KS sets. Unfortunate, there is very little to no improvement is most other aspect of picture quality. This is a shame considering the starting price point of the Q7. Furthermore, the Q7 is an edge lit television. This means that the black levels on the Q7 are nearly the same as that on the MU9000. The lack of full array is, in my opinion, the single biggest missed opportunity on the Q7, as that would have increased its contrast ratio and black levels. The viewing angels are also similar to the MU, with the Q7 losing some color and black levels at an off angle. It is clear that Samsung placed an emphasis on design with the Q series. The Q7 is a great looking TV that can mounted or stood with Samsung's extra accessories. It is a shame however, that Samsung did not do more to improve the overall picture quality of the Q7. Picture wise, it is best described as a direct descendant to the KS9000, with improved color, brightness and a smoother, more connected OS. But the price of the Q7 is not appropriate for the technology packed in the set. In fact, I would say, you are paying more for the design and the QLED name, more than the picture quality. To sum up my thoughts on the Q7, I would rate the television 4.4 out of 5 for quality, but a 3.5 out of 5 for value. The Q7 is not a bad television by any measure. Its design is wonderful and the set is an improvement in color and contrast over last year’s Samsung’s. But that improvement is minimal, which makes the asking price for the Q7 somewhat unjustified. If and when the Q7’s price is a few hundred more than the MU9000, I would recommend taking a look at the Q7 for an even better television. As is stands at the moment of writing however, the 65MU9000 is a better set for the price. And the Sony 65X930E is a better LED set overall, while being less than the Q7. This currently makes the Q7 hard to recommend, but those who do purchase it will still get an excellent Samsung television that is better than both the KS and MU series.

shuts off and on
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. After 3 months tv started shutting off on its own. Best buy geek squad has been great though. Sending a new one connect, hope it fixes it. After reading some similiar complaints I am a little worried. The TV did look great and the fact that there is no clunky box on the back of the TV makes it a flush mount which is great. I really hope the new one connect box is a permanent fix.
