I love this TV!! I did lots of research to get the best TV for the best price. I wanted super clear pictures with vibrant colors! I also wanted little to no glare issues. Plus, it would be nice to see a wide-angle view without issues so I can be in the kitchen and still watch. This TV has it all! I'm so happy with it.

A little late with my review, been too busy using it. Very good TV. Amazing picture quality with HD and UHD. If you’re watching content that supports it, the HDR is also amazing. I am very happy with my purchase. Slim design, not too heavy, pretty easy to setup as well.

the TV has great picture quality and colors are deep. internal sound is wonderful. easy to use the control (even though simple looking so many features with it). very satisfied with this...had since late December 2019. ONLY wish the tv could rotate or turn, but the images are not distorted when viewing from side angels.

Easy setup with on screen instructions to walk you through the process. TV remote controls my Optimum cable box for most functions. Remote is simple to use but I wish it was backlite to make buttons easier to find in darkened room. Picture is excellent and sound without using sound is good. Very happy with this purchase.

Plasma purist completely satisfied with QLED TV

Unfortunately, after only 5 years of over the top satisfaction, I needed to replace my top of the line 60" Samsung 8500 Plasma TV, for which I thought I would never find a replacement that would have as good a picture as my not-to-be topped-best-ever-plasma. I tried the Sony 65" 900F but found it had way too much glare from the reflective scree for the set-up in our great room. I exchanged the Sony for the Samsung 65" QLED Q80 and am really happy with the way less screen reflection and an overall better picture than my old plasma. Some of that has to do with the new one being 4K, but I found the same superb absolute blacks that I had in the plasma were surprisingly and pleasingly to be found in the Samsung Q80 as well. The Geek Squad install exchange was seamless. As always, the installers were efficient, knowledgeable, thorough, patient, and professional. The sales people at the State College, PA store were, again as always, extremely helpful with their friendly, honest, unbiased, professional advice. I am a long time Best Buy customer and always will be, as they truly are the Best!

Great TV so far i have no issue or what so ever. Picture quality is above average. Color is excellent. Streaming is lightning fast. Need more work on Bixby in terms of voice commands it’s ok i hardly use it anyway. Overall experience so far is good I would definitely recommend this TV to anyone wants to upgrade their TV.....

    Brilliant Picture w/ Some Quirks

With the right content and settings the picture is brilliant, and really that is the most important thing. This TV takes my viewing experience to a new level. There is some time that needs to be spent on picture settings. For example, I hate auto motion settings that make everything look like a soap opera, it takes a little time to get this sorted to a good level. I noticed on older content without some adjustment it actually creates some serious issues. Tried Braveheart when I first bought the TV and auto motion destroyed the opening aerial scene then I learned how to dial in the judder reduction, blur reduction, etc. Ambient mode is cool, but wish there were more options. I found I used it the first few weeks but now just turn the TV off and save power instead. Turning on and off the TV flashes in a weird way. I assume this is the standard set-up but not very elegant compared to other TV's I've owned. It looks weird enough that often I find myself holding my breath thinking the screen is going to freeze. Another minor grip is with my old TV (also a Samsung) when I changed the volume through my Sonos beam the TV displayed the volume level. Now it is simply + or - options with no level. Annoying when you can't see the level and sometimes I resort to opening my Sonos App to see what level it is on. Can't seem to find a way to fix this issue. Finally, I have Xfinity and the TV did not do a good job of recognizing this cable source. It then cycles you through a set-up that takes 20 tries before it aborts with no way to exit. I finally manually labeled the cable HDMI source another way, but again annoying on a product that is middle to higher end of the range.

This tv is great, we bought the tv because of the awful install environment, which is very bright in the daytime and gets off angle sun every day. The light rejection is dramatically better than the TV it replaces, or the LG that was tested there (very glossy screen). Setup was fast and the HDR content looks great with very little calibration needed. The wide viewing is a plus also. The biggest downside is that the colors do not quite match the top of the line LG, and the local backlight can mess with small details on high contrast frames(stars in deep black sky, for example), but that is an edge case. I was surprised how noticeable the color lines on gradient were on compressed 4k YouTube streams which were not present on 4k native local sources, but it only really shows in static frames and pauses. The stand is simple and is a temporary solution until the wall mount is installed.

Purchased this TV for the PS5, 4k @60hz, 10ms response time with no burn in is exactly what I wanted. The price was perfect for the size and I plan to pair it with the Samsung Hw80Q90R sound bar. I was planning on purchasing the LG Oled, but the chance of burn in was too much for me, as I game 7-10 hours a day ( I know, rookie numbers) with a lot of static pictures; such as HUDs. Remember to use HDMI port 4 in order to utilize HDMI 2.1 features as it is the only port that has it. Pros: Games that utilize HDR look so much better. VRR is a must have for the next-gen consoles. Freesync now but rumor mill says G-sync is coming. TV speakers are really, really good. The best I have heard from a tv. Colors are rich and deep with HDR on. Glare is non existent, I live in an area with a lot of sun. Apple play is great and works very well. Doubles as a space heater in the winter; when the nits are turned up. Cons: HDMI 2.1 not on every port! You can't change from Game mode to a preset as easy as you should be able to. When I want to watch a movie, I have to just watch it in game mode because it is too much hassle to go back and change settings. The Samsung tv app is cool, but man is it sketchy; cuts off all the time, but free channels is something I shouldn't complain about. Having to turn on dynamic HDR was hassle, should have been something the tv does automatically. Not 3D, i own a lot of 3D movies, my favorite is Predator. :'-( Space heater in the summer is not a good thing. Do not use LCD/monitor screen wipes on this tv. It will leave a streaks and cloud the display. Thank you for coming to my Ted Talk

This TV has a great picture! It was easy to setup with the on screen setup guide. The remote can turn the cable box on and off but there are no numbers to punch in the channel you want to watch. You have to scroll or use the cable box remote

Pros: Great TV, Nice picture, good basic sound, easy to set up and use. Con: Bixby: I had to turn it off, came on at the most inconvenient times, listening all of the time, would ask what I said even when I was in the next room Con:The Fox News App is not available in apps list. Samsung said keep checking back. Con: Remote is too slender, is not backlit.

Love the anti glare screen and all around brightness to sharpness and image quality. Went to buy the Q6 but seeing it side by side to the Q8 and it being on sale saving $800 at the time it was a no brainer that the Q6 I went to buy couldn’t even come close to how much more better of a TV this was. Love the processor and browser how it’s set up all around i can’t complain at all if there was one thing I could say that gets in my nerves a little bit about it is the very small smart remote it comes with is touchy and if your watching something you can accidentally hit the Hulu or amazon prime button easily and interrupt your movie show or game. I’d give this TV a 8/10

I have had this TV for about two weeks, and so far I'm loving it! Although the TV speaker isn't great, Devin convinced me to buy a stereo system and I couldn't be happier! I was watching Netflix after about 20 minutes of setting up, so assembly was easy! I was debating whether I should buy this or an LG tv, but after much consideration, I realized that this TV was going to do exactly what I wanted, while I would be paying more money for an LG that had too much "happy stuff." I have had many Samsungs over the years and I do have to say this TV is much nicer than my older Samsungs. One feature I really like is the Ambient Mode. Although I probably won't use it very often, I do think it is really cool! Overall, 10/10 TV, would totally recommend despite the steep price.

This tv is great for a few reasons and one of them is using my gaming pc in the living room. Other models have similar features for frame rate etc... but my living room area has a lot of reflections so the screen on the Q80r was well worth the upgrade imo over the Q70r. Using an rtx 2080 I make great use of the 1440p 120fps capabilities of this tv, and with hdr enabled games it looks incredible. After messing around with settings over the course of a few nights with different content, hdr, gaming, and streaming apps/cable I can say the picture quality is amazing. I had an Oled tv before this and i can say using the Samsung I have much less anxiety using this tv for use with a PC. The picture quality after dialing in the settings are not much different than the Oled in most content and viewing angles. Personally the Samsung handles brighter content better vs the Oled handled darker scenes better so there is a trade off but If you watch shows with much more bright scenery and worry about static content this tv is a no brainer. My concern with not having Dolby Vision was quickly erased as the hdr still looked great. Lastly I considered the Q90r but the extra $500 for minimal gain in picture quality didn't seem worth it.

I bought the 65" Q80 TV on black Friday and have enjoyed it for 3 months. 4K content from Netflix and YouTube is stunning on this TV. The Q900 is the only Samsung that is noticeably better, but more that twice the price. The Q80 is a big step above the Sony 850D that I bought a few years ago and had to return due to a defect. The Q80 also shows less reflections than the Sony 950 that I also considered, but It does show more glare than my old Sony Bravia 52 HD TV, which finally died after 12 years of good service. Really wanted to stay with Sony, but felt that Samsung had beaten Sony at this price point.

Fantastic picture. Great blacks. Awesome display of HBO, Netflix, Amazon Prime...but I also got the matching Soundbar (Q70R) and it’s about 80% spectacular...glitches are occurring though. It auto populates Netflix in the middle of an Amazon Prime show..I haven’t used the TV without the soundbar so it’s not exactly accurate to think it’s the TV’s issue. But overall happy. I have never used voice activations and to just say fast forward or rewind is a bit of a trip! Also, I have a bright room so the Q80 is fantastic for glare. I have traditionally owned Sony’s and they are like mirrors.
