Our 10yo Vizio developed bright white spots and circles, didn’t really affect viewing just became annoying. Went to Conyers, Ga Best Buy to get the low down on new tv’s. Associate we spoke with laid out everything, very knowledgeable guy and courteous. Sadly cant remember his name. He told us about the open box deals they do, went home, start online shopping for open box deals. Found one the fit the bill we were looking for, only catch here only store that had it was Warner Robins, Ga store bought it online drove an hour and a half to get it. The website had it listed as open-box excellent condition, sadly it came with no box. Not a big deal. Got it home Friday night, Saturday morning took down our Vizio and put up our new/used Samsung. The picture is incredible, love the ease of navigation through the different things. Love this tv, didn’t realize how we were missing the incredible picture quality of television. We paid just over $600.00 for a tv that new in the box would have cost over $1200.00. We are super pleased and are enjoying our newly found picture quality… in closing we have 3 other Vizios we still use. We love our new Samsung for sure. And our existing sound bar works with the Samsung. Hope this helps someone who want a new tv but doesn’t wanna pay full price.

The Samsung 65” Q80B QLED 4k Smart TV has a comparable picture (or a little better) than our prior (2019?) Hisense ULED 4k smart tv, but the sound is significantly better. Our Hisense had died (first the backlight became dim, then on factory resetting it failed to successfully reboot and was unusable). The sound on the Samsung almost feels like more of a surround-sound kind of sound even though there are no external speakers visible.
Despite it being a smart TV, for our purposes (despite what the Best Buy Salesman told us) we still needed a Chromecast --- for example, we get some screenings of movies from services like AARP which have a cast option, and the Samsung TV (without chromecast) only lets you “cast” to installed supported apps. Chromecast on the other hand lets us cast anything (including a browser tab or screen, which is separate from the prior example).
The Hisense was a similar cost, but this TV has a lot of advantages, for example there are apps included (that run well) for all our subscription video services. Also, our Hisense would’ve taken about 5-10 seconds to turn off and 5-10 seconds to turn on, where this Samsung Q80B turns off and on amazingly fast (under 2 seconds maybe?).
I’ve seen people complain about the volume, but for our ‘normal’ sized living room this TV gets very loud if you raise the volume. The only thing I can imagine is that those complaining about volume have huge rooms and are watching the TV from like 20 feet away or something. The sound quality is significantly better than what we were used to.

Excellent picture quality. HDR is a huge improvement over my last Samsung 55" which lacked that feature. Easy setup and wall installation was a snap thanks to Geek Squad delivery and installation. Was concerned that the 120 refresh would impact my viewing experience vs 240 refresh, but have noticed little or no issues at all either with gaming or basic viewing.

This tv blew me away from the first moment I turned it on. The screen is super sharp, colors are vivid, blacks are black. I first tried blade runner 2049. First thing I noticed was how dark dark portions of the scenes are. If the character is in partial light, but partially hidden in darkness or it's a night scene: there is no bleeding light. The screen is completely black. Yet the light areas are very detailed and well lit. I guess this is what everyone was talking about with "direct lighting".
Another thing I immediately noticed was the tv's built-in speakers. They really pack a punch & I swear the sound sounds as if it's all around the room. These tv speakers are the best I've ever heard. In fact: I have a traditional 7.1 surround sound reciever hooked up to this tv, but I hadn't set it up yet. My roommate was watching a movie and I told her "That is the new tv's speakers". She said she thought it was my surround sound.
Setup via my samsung phone took seconds. Everything set itself up. Even the solar remote paired itself to my Roku & Xbox by itself.
Last but not least: I loaded up Arkham Knight on my xbox x. Wow! The response time and speed of this tv blew me away. I can't believe it. Games feel like new to me.
I am LOVING this tv!

Beautiful picture and the TV itself is sleek and well thought out. However I do not like the following:
- No way to change source via remote button - you have to navigate menus via the remote. I'm sure someone thinks this is better but I find it annoying
- The menus are junked up with apps that I don't want and don't use, and you cannot remove them. I assume Samsung gets paid by Disney, NetFlix etc. I just wish the UI was clean and easy

Used the extended warranty when my curved TV went dark…received the credit since it could not be fixed. Got this one on sale. Salesperson said it was a great TV….so far he was not wrong. Picture is great , set up was easy, sound with the sound bar and woofer rounds it out.

BY far best TV I've owned. the 120 refresh rate makes all the difference in my mind. Crisp picture and features though Paramount + doesn't work for me. I just plugged my fire stick in and back up and running. I can't speak about the sound as I use a Samsung Sound bar which paired perfectly to the TV.

I am still learning the TV and what all it can do. The picture is awesome and setup was easy to follow along. The TV has some great features and still playing around with it some. Once you figure out the remote it's a great remote but just need to learn how to use it.

The Samsung 65-inch Q80B QLED 4K Smart Tizen TV impresses with its stellar performance. The included remote, featuring a solar panel, adds a futuristic touch to convenience. The 120Hz refresh rate enhances the viewing experience, delivering smooth and vibrant visuals. Despite its strengths, the Tizen OS occasionally lags, detracting from an otherwise seamless user interface. The stunning 4K display and QLED technology provide vivid colors and deep contrasts, making it a standout in its class. With a few minor quirks aside, the Samsung Q80B is undeniably a top-tier choice, offering excellent value for its price point.

Would be 5 stars, except for the tizen OS. Shouldve done more research. Picture quality is awesome, gaming is awesome, etc. Only issue is the Tizen OS, with ads, and being sloooooowwwww. Also, be advised if you have a dog that chews on random things, a first party remote is over $100. When everything is working as it should, its nice, but the OS has a learning curve and isnt intuitive.

tv is great! the picture is beautiful and gaming on it is amazing!!1 my only complaint is that there is a lag between the remote and tv. usually have to wait 4 seconds before the tv finds the remote signal after the initial power up. if it keeps doing it i might request a new remote. but other than that its a great tv
