I bought this TV to replace an old plasma that was about 12 or 13 years old. It was supposed to be a "Christmas present" but couldn't wait so it was set up over Thanksgiving. So far it has a great picture, controls work great, and I have no regrets whatsoever. I know there are more expensive TVs with more features and more recent technology..?? but this is a great TV and you will not be disappointed. I have seen it listed as a "gaming" TV which is a big reason I made it my final selection. It is fantastic for gaming, and for anything else you are watching.

Next best option to LG OLED!

I have an OLED in my bedroom but didn’t want to spend over $2,000 for a larger size for my living room. So I did some serious research and QLED was the next best option. Of course, OLED is by far the best but I must say that QLED comes very close. If you want the closest clarity and quality you must get the higher end versions such as this Q80 and the Q90. The reason being is those version have full array backlight and not just Edge lit - it makes a huge difference in clarity and color. Pay the few extra dollars for those versions - its well worth it. Trust me! I love this TV Almost as much as my LG OLED but had to remove 1 star because the screen glares and I have to redirect or eliminate lighting to avoid/reduce screen glare. Most TVs have some glare but if you can’t control the lighting where the tv is this may not be a good option. Other than that this is a great knockoff OLED! Lol!

LOVE THIS TV! I moved and recently purchased this TV after reading all the reviews. My old TV was only 3 years old, but what a huge difference in upgrading. I can't get over the clarity! It literally blows me away how clear this picture is. My old TV was also a Samsung, so I trust the brand. The refresh rate is crazy clear and every channel comes in crystal clear. I would highly recommend this TV. I'm still learning about it, but what I know so far is that this was money well spent and my evenings in front of the TV are that much more enjoyable.

I'm happy I went with this TV. I also bought a Samsung sound bar for a fully integrated experience. I can tell the difference in sports with a faster refresh rate compared to my older TV. At first, I thought it would be too big for my room that I put it in, but we got used to it as a family and we are glad we kept the larger size. The native sound (without the sound bar) is actually pretty good, so it you don't like to add additional components to you tv like sound bars or stereo equipment, this TV would probably work out great for you.

The Samsung 65" QLED TV I purchased is exceptional. I have one in my previous home, but new owner wanted it so it went with the house. So I did not hesitate to go purchase a new one. The colors are great, that black is black, picture is crisp. Do not have a bad thing to say. In love it!

Great TV with great picture and features. We love Samsung quality, as this is our 5th or 6th Samsung TV. Our original Samsung LED set bought in 2006 still works great, and we expect to use this one for many years to come as well. Easy to set up, easy to use. One word of advice - Dont skimp and try to reuse an old HDMI cable - buy a new high quality HDMI cable for the HDMI eArc connection between the TV and your sound bar (we bought a Samsung sound bar as well). The extra $30 makes a world of difference. Very happy!

I've had toshibas, i've had LGs, I've had samsungs, and samsungs are always my faves. strictly speaking, my television is very much a video gaming thing. i watch the odd movie or show or whatever, but i'm mainly in it for the gaming (i know, i know). having previously had a delightful samsung 4k (forget the model, but it was a couple years old), my first concern was that the upgrade wouldn't really be worth it...i was mistaken. games look incredible on this screen. i'm not a huge fan of what game mode does to some darker areas, ditto for the contrast options in some cases....and that's not even getting into the anti-judder stuff that makes every hi-def program look like the weirdest combo od BBC show/VHS/real life—does ANYBODY like that thing (don't @me, sports dudes with your mancave nonsense).
the one REAL complaint i have is that the home toolbar thing with all the apps seems to have a slight delay in coming up and in the selection. as in, it takes an extra moment to steer with the remote, if you know what i mean. i'm worried i'm not being clear, i'm just saying there's a slight lag that's annoying but not a dealbreaker.
can't speak to the speaker quality as i'm a headphones dork at pretty much all times, but i've heard good things.
so, yeah, in summation, i could not be happier with the picture and heartily recommend to game nerds who understand game mode makes everything worse (just a personal opinion). the lag in the menu is irritating, but the highest of high-class problems (imagine being like "my gigantic television's menu has a split-second lag and i'm gonna trash its existence from the rooftops!").
this is also the third time i've bought a television from best buy and been happy with the quality of service and speed---especially this time given the COVID thing; it was picked up quickly same day and the people were really nice, in masks and still friendly despite how terrifying everything is right now.

It was a toss up to choose the LG OLED or the Samsung Qled
and am glad I selected the Samsung. It's been 6 years since buying a HD version of that era and the difference is stunning.
Easy setup and have gotten rid of expensive cable choices.
Streaming only via YouTubeTV,Netflix, YouTube, Pandora, etc make it easy to switch back and forth plus my sound bar and sub are plug and play.

This Samsung 65 class Q80T replaced an older 60 inch model that was past its' prime. Even though it is not top of the line, it by far outperforms the older model. Colors are brighter, picture is sharper and sound from the TV itself is crisper and clearer, allowing me to postpone any perceived need for a sound bar until later. Setup was straight forward and any apps not already installed were easy to obtain. Initial sign in was handled easily enough thru a smartphone or by computer. There is tons of quality for the money, especially when you shop the sales. Better Tv's are out there but will probably set you back $800 or more than this model. For a non gamer, mostly watch movies and news, it is a perfect buy for me.

I had bought an Xbox Series X in December of 2020 and started looking into getting a TV that took advantage of the Xbox's capabilities. I settled on the Q80T to replace my Samsung 4k that was 6 years old which also did not support HDR. The upgrade is amazing. HDR and 120 refresh rate for 4k gaming. I was skeptical that there would not be that much of a difference, I was so wrong! The picture on this TV is amazing. Highly recommend!

First Samsung for us and we really like it. Easy to use menu to access apps. Easily connected with our home theater system and internet. Our ONLY complaint is the Best Buy rep really pushed that there would be next to no glare on the screen from outside light. It's as bad and maybe a bit worse than our previous LG. Had hoped to not close random blinds to prevent this from happening. In spite of this it's a great product.

I'm only a couple of days into using this tv and all I can say is wow. Picture quality is amazing. On a side note if you're connecting a next generation console and a reciever that uses the arc hdmi port make sure you go arc from your reciever to arc on the TV. When plugging in the hdmi cable from my console and not using 4k pass thru my receiver made an even bigger difference. Game mode is on point. Refresh rate is awesome. Great purchase

I needed a TV with a pedestal stand, which this TV has. The picture is bright and clear and, surprisingly, the sound is good enough that I don't need my soundbar.
I use the TV primarily as a monitor for a Windows PC. It works great.
I wish the remote had a "source" button. It does not. To change source, press home, then scroll all the way left, then scroll right one icon, then move up, then scroll to your source, then press select.

I got this 65" Samsung q80t for $1499 during the Black Friday in Spring sale. For the price, it was definitely worth it! It delivers great picture quality that fits well for my space. Of course, higher end TVs will do better but with a price $400+ I am very happy with this TV. The difference between the q80t and q90t is minimal, so I stayed with the q80t.

Great Quality TV wanted to add to the house after I repaired the power board in the last TV and gave to the kids. Picture is crisp and the sound is much better than the comparable Sony 65" TV. We originally bought the Sony X950 TV and the sound was horrible and we had problems tuning the brightness settings. This TV works great out of the Box and we are pleased with the sound, as we ar not in the market for a soundbar.
