Amazing TV with Stunning Picture and Great Feature

It's been fantastic! The picture quality is incredible, with really deep blacks and bright, vivid colors. Watching movies and shows feels like being in a theater. The 4K resolution makes everything look super sharp, and the HDR support add even more detail and color. It's great for watching sports and playing video games too. The design of the TV is realy sleek and modern. It looks great in my living room and doesn’t take up too much space. The thin bezels around the screen make it look even bigger. The sound quality is so good for a flat-screen TV. The built-in speakers are clear and loud enough for regular use, and it also work well with my external speakers for an even better sound experience.

Coming from QN90A(Neo QLED) i was pretty worried about the dimmer tv in my bright living roo,but boy was i wrong. Don't really know how it's possible but this TV matches or sometimes looks even brighter than my old Neo QLED. Im seeing colors ive never seen, more depth to the picture than even the best IMAX theatres, dazzling brightness and picture quality. This is also the best Gaming tv hands down. All 3 consoles working flawlessly with incredible 4K + 10bit HDR + VRR + 120hz together give the smoothest gaming experience ive ever seen. Hands down the most gorgeous tv my eyes have laid upon

    Great TV, Some Issues

Summary: So, it was between this and the LG C2. I’m coming from a 55” LG C9 - which has now been relocated to my bedroom. I wanted a larger TV but wanted to stay within the LG family because I’ve been thoroughly impressed with my c9 for the past few years. However, QD-OLED was too good to pass up. Couple that with the phenomenal pricing and I was immediately drawn in. The TV is great for the price. Any research you do on this TV will be extremely biased as the new tech gets everyone excited. I think a majority of reviewers overlooked or ignored a lot of the cons and were swept up in the hype. Pros: Picture Quality: If you’re buying an OLED, especially the next generation of OLED (marketed as QD-OLED by Samsung) then you already know or have a good idea of how amazing the picture quality is. The colors are extremely vibrant, sometimes a bit unnatural but with proper calibration, most people won’t notice. I’m a huge gamer with any console you can think of and gaming is a huge leap forward on a QD-OLED, especially because of the brightness. HDMI 2.1: The TV supports HDMI 2.1, which is phenomenal for making both the series X and ps5 120hz. (See: “VRR Broken” in Cons. For those who have one over the other, it’s worth noting that at the time of writing, VRR works perfectly for Xbox, while it struggles on PS5. I’m sure Samsung is planning to release a patch soon to mitigate the issue). All four HDMI ports have 2.1 support, so it’s much more convenient for those with many external devices. Gaming Quality: Samsung certainly hasn’t lost its reputation with gaming with the S95b, wow. Whether you’re gaming on switch, ps5, or Xbox, it all comes packaged with phenomenal picture quality, eye-popping colors, and fluid 120hz (for select games). Cons: Brightness: You would think this would be on the pros list, but allow me to explain. Version 1310 was the best update of the TV. However, as of version 1420, Samsung ended up significantly reducing the brightness of the TV in HDR (I believe it was first done in version 1303). SDR wasn’t touched in terms of brightness. Some may argue that it doesn’t make a difference, but it does, especially with streaming content. HDR10+ : There is no Dolby vision on this TV. At all. This was one that was a huge deal for me, and still kind of is. There is a slight (maybe 10%) difference in viewing content with HDR10+ and Dolby vision. If you’re looking for it, it’s there. If you’re not, you probably won’t notice it. If you’re coming from an LG or Sony, this will probably be a deal breaker for you. Once the set is calibrated though (not professionally, just pull up a YouTube video), it’ll be hard to spot the differences. Tizen OS & Menu Navigation: This was god-awful. It took me 2 weeks, but I finally got used to it and became OK with the Tizen OS on Samsung. As you’ll read in other reviews, it’s choppy and laggy at times. The same remains true for me, but it’s something you’ll get over, especially after owning an Apple TV or streaming video from a console (I don’t do it because I hate viewing streaming content in game mode). It takes way too long to switch inputs manually (Home > Menu > Connected Devices > Select input) as opposed to the LG remote I'm used to (input button > select input). The lag doesn’t help either. My recommendation is to set all devices to have the ability to switch input once you wake them up or activate the remote. It’s way more convenient. Settings: I had an issue recently while gaming (on ps5 specifically) where the TV would just turn off. I think when the intelligent mode is on, it causes this but I’m unsure as to the time of writing. All I know is that upon changing a few settings (still in the process of identifying), this happened in the middle of games on ps5 at least 4 times consecutively before I disabled the settings. I haven't had a problem since. Recent Updates: As previously stated, the recent updates have completely degraded this tv's capabilities, from the broken VRR to the decrease in overall HDR brightness. Look on forums, Reddit, etc - this is a universal opinion. The good news is that Samsung may release a firmware update to take care of all of these issues in the spring. VRR (at least for me) is broken on ps5 as I only get 60fps in all games. On Xbox, I get 120. You can view in the screenshots. Overall, as someone that's coming from an LG, I can recommend this set for most people. If Dolby Vision is a dealbreaker for you, don't bother. Also, for those coming from LG, the LG C3 was just announced as a 30% boost to brightness for the EVO panel in LGs. So it'll be very comparable and extremely hard for this TV to compete once that's released due to the cons on this list. TLDR: maybe, leaning yes. But, if you can wait, wait for The LG C3 (LG's 'QD-OLED'). Google it.

Ive been an Oled fan since they became available and this is the one I've been waiting for. Ive had my fair share of LG OLeds from the C6, C8, CX and also recently bought the Sony A90J (which was amazing but lacking in the gaming department) but luckily for me, Samsung released this QD Oled in my return window because this tv blows everything away. And its not even close! Hands down the best Oled on the market! The brightness ability while still keeping the perfect blacks is truly breathtaking. Its been tested to reach 1500 nits on a 10% window. Its something you just have to see and experience in person. It adds so much to the overall picture. The color volume is amazing. The screen is perfect with no banding, no dirty screen effect and great motion. What really sets the bar for me is in the gaming department. Ive never experienced such beauty in gaming. All I can can say is WOW! That brightness really is a difference maker for gaming. The specular highlight details pop off the screen. The tv has a great low input lag (same as the LG C2). And it also has a game optimizer menu (which is pretty cool). There is no Dolby Vision options which stinks but trust me when I say, you wont need it with this tv (maybe in a few years when games utilize it, I might change my mind there but for now, I could careless about it). The sound audio is pretty good for such a slim tv. It gets plenty loud. My only negative is that it only has 2 sizes (55 and 65). And maybe the Tizen Opperating system. I really liked the Sony Android/google OS and even maybe even LGs Web Os over it so far. Overall this tv should of been $1000-$2000 more being new technology. The prices they released at made every other tv expendable. Especially the new LG c2/g2 models. Huge price cuts cominf for those after this Samsung release. Im glad the bar has been raised in the Tv World. If you are in the hunt for the best tv on the market, look no further (especially if you are a gamer on top). My phone pics dont do it justice, its even better in person. Strongly recommend!

So far so good, light use just for 2 weeks. Color, brightness and contrast are great. Was scary setting up as most of the screen is so thin. I like watching 4 movies in low or no ambient light. Play some games on PS5 so much more color and brightness than my Sony X91J 85” or my Samsung 82” 8 series. This is 65” review, I just sit closer as this is smaller than the others. I purchased the Geek Squash protection plan as there were a couple of bad reviews and this was the first year for the QOLED new technology. Hope it lasts for years.

3 Weeks... Awesome! Amazingly thin! We debated between a 55" and 65" because our living room is small. Choosing the 65" was a great choice. We did not purchase a sound bar at this time however, the TV audio is better than I expected in both tone and volume. The colors just pop out but maybe a bit over-saturated in some instances. No problems with picture brightness. I chose to connect an ethernet cable directly from the router to the TV for a more reliable and faster connection but the TV had trouble recognizing the connection. Issue was resolved by powering down and unplugging the TV for about 30 sec. before starting again - all systems go from then on. Our Roku stick has now moved to a bedroom TV but note that many of the Samsung Streaming apps require entering log-in setup for first time use. Overall, an excellent purchase.

This TV is great. Salesman said it wouldn’t have as good if picture as my LG G1 OLED (LOL). It’s way better. To be fair, the WOLED does skin tones well but QDOLED colors pop. Sound is way better too. I read a lot about firmware and sound. This tv looks and sounds great. For $1700 this TV is an absolute bargain. We went from a high end Samsung QLED, have an LG G1, and this TV is quite a bit better in my estimation. If it dies in a month I’ll make sure to update this review. Sure a G3 would be better for 3K. Please note that an S95c will always show a chord because the one connect can’t be ran through a wall. Another reason to go with the S95b. S90c is same panel, less brightness for 1k more. Side note…. I do not like the G series mount and it’s all you can use with a G series. This is a great option if you’re on the fence.

This is a beautiful tv. Can get a clear picture of the screen no mattee the viewing angle. Plenty of smart features. Only issues are there isnt a dedicated source button on remote and can be a pain to switch between inputs. Remote is a bit basic, not many options on it outaide the dedicated disney+, Netflix and amazon prime quick buttons. Assuming you use them. Other wise no much to it, though it is rechargeable only. So no battery replacement to deal with. Also tv is extremely thin, so it can be worrisome to get it out and put up. Outside of minor issues this is a great tv.

This is one of the most AMAZING purchases I’ve made that has revolutionized my gaming experience. The OLED panel on this tv has inky blacks, and the glossy coating doesn’t show any kind of texture or grain effect that I have noticed on other TVs/ monitors. The 120Hz is buttery smooth, and has made a real impact on my competitive gaming, as well as casual gaming. The colors on this tv are phenomenal! There is amazing contrast between the darks and brights, and there is no blooming that you would notice from a normal ips or mini led panel. This tv has been a part of my main gaming setup since I purchased it, and I would highly recommend this for anyone out there looking for a great content experience!

I had the 65” S95B now for about 2 months. Previously owned the 77” Qn90b because I thought brighter is better. I know now that OLED is the only way. This tv is incredible! It’s true blacks and insanely bright contrast make it a must have for anyone who values picture quality. It is true that the panel has a slight curve out of the box. But not at all noticeable when watching or playing. I’ve got the tv dialed in to my liking’s. And if done right. You can make this tv better than the S95C. I only wish it came in 77” but all in all. Never been happier with a TV. A must buy at this price!

QD-OLED in this is a huge improvement over standard OLED offerings. Went with this over the Sony A95k because the price difference just wasn’t justified in my opinion (you’re getting 99% of the picture quality here), plus all 4 HDMI ports support 4k120hz, unlike the A95k. The Tizen OS can be clunky and laggy at times, and there have been a few complaints about build quality (some people have received bent screens), but not so in my case. Worth waiting for a sale as the next generation is on the horizon, but definitely among the best sets available today.

It’s big! I upsized from a 55” to a 65” screen! The picture is very sharp and the colors are bright and colorful. I have been watching older movies with new eyes. I love it, I highly recommend it! It received a lower sound quality rating because I am in the process of upgrading the sound bar.

This is the finest TV I have ever owned. I did the "professional calibration" feature built into the TV using my iPhone and the Samsung Things app. Bought a tripod for my iPhone to do that as the phone needs to be still for about 3 minutes. After I did the calibration the colors and picture were even better than the factory defaults, which were already great. Got a Mohu Leaf Supreme Pro antenna and attached it to this TV as it has an ATSC 3.0 Tuner (only Samsung and Sony TV's have this) and I live in a test market (Orlando) for NextGen TV. All my network channels come in clear via NextGen TV. Hello HD NFL Football (for free)! I like the remote as its easy to use and it is solar powered. I have this TV in my living room which is next to the porch windows so its in a bright room, but this TV doesn't show any glare and is very bright for an OLED. No problems watching this while its sunny outside and the sunlight in the living room. Watching movies at night is where it shines. Put in a 4K UHD Bluray and it feels like you're at the movies. I have a Samsung Q600B Soundbar attached and that thing is a beast! The Q-Symphony feature allows Samsung Soundbars to also use Samsung TV Speakers. So, you get more speakers for an Dolby Atmos setup. With the recent drop in price at BestBuy it was a quick buy for me. I highly recommend this TV.

The good: picture quality is amazing for most content. Current price (July 2023) for 65" would make it the best bang for buck for this level of technology. OK: The Tizen OS is a little laggy, but not overly cumbersome unless you have zero patience. Sound quality is very clear and crisp, but as one would imagine with such a thin TV, the bass levels are lacking for music or most movies.i Not so good: This TV is extremely thin and had me nervous just handling it. Installing it on a wall mount was even more terrifying and a big relief once it was completed. Then noticed the bow in the screen which seems to be a common problem. Didn't consider it too bad, so I didn't return it. On day 15, one day after the return period, the TV won't turn on. Apparently, this is also not uncommon for this model. Tried all of the quick fixes and none worked. Samsung service scheduled in 5 days. Looks like I am stuck with this thing with only the Geek Squad 2- year protection (basically 1 year extension). Was very tempted to get the Sony QD OLED. Conclusion: It doesn't matter how good the price and image quality are if the TV is unreliable or broken. I would recommend the LG C2 at about the same price. The competing 2022 Sony A95K also looked amazing, but is still about $1200 more expensive.

Massive Upgrade - Great TV - Only One Complaint

Would have given 4.5 stars if it were an option but can't quite give it 5. This TV is a massive upgrade over my previous TCL. The colors, contrast, and clarity are all incredible. I had some concerns about the brightness since this is an OLED. While I do typically have the brightness maxed out, it has been plenty bright even with a lot of natural light in the room. The TV has plenty of inputs and will switch to Game Mode automatically if you set up a specific input as a gaming input. I like this feature, though I could see how some might not. The sound is quite good and better than any other TV I have owned. I have no plans to add a sound bar. My only real complaint, and the reason I did not give this TV 5 stars, is the operating system, which you will see in other reviews of this TV. It takes 10-15 seconds on start up for it to kind of wake up, and the menus are a little clunky. If this were a cheaper TV I wouldn't think much of it, but coming from a MUCH cheaper ROKU TV which is super simple and user friendly, Samsung's operating system just isn't as good and needs to be better on a TV of this price. Not a deal breaker but certainly a bit irritating.

      AndrewM,

If your TV takes a while to turn on, apps take longer to start, or the menu takes longer to load, please try discharging or cold booting your TV, as this will help it start up normally again. You can cold boot your TV 2 ways:

      1. With the Samsung TV remote:
      - With the TV turned on, press and hold the power button on your remote.
      - Continue holding the power button while the TV powers off and back on.

      2. Without the Samsung TV remote:
      - With the TV turned on, unplug the TV's power cord from the power outlet and wait 30 seconds.
      - Plug the TV power cord back into the power outlet and turn the TV back on.

This will clear your memory cache, and your TV should start running normally again.

Please also check to see if your TV has any software updates available, which could help it run smoother as well. You can check this by going to: Menu > Settings > Support > Software Update.

If your TV still takes a long time to turn on after performing these steps, please call Samsung Customer Support at 1-800-SAMSUNG, 8AM - 12AM EST, 7 days a week. Or visit us on the Samsung website and click on the ‘Support’ link for:

-Samsung motion handling through the Tizen apps is quite impressive -The “Grey” screen issue being reported by some online content creators is absurd. The reflection handling is fantastic and the blacks look just as good as other OLEDs -The design could be improved, as it’s very bottom heavy with a screen that’s super thin. -Samsung has a distinct way of handling colors and highlights that’s not for everyone, but you can really push this TV and it gets as bright as old QLEDs without losing too much color. I’m so picky about my electronics and I’m finding it hard to find flaws in this product.
