I like the modern design and it’s large enough to get a lot of laundry done. 5/5 for me!

Purchased this in August of 2021. We couldn't be any happier with this washer and dryer with all the features that it provides. We particularly like just filling up the detergent and softener reservoirs and letting it determine how much to use so you don't have to add for each wash cycle! Plus the SmartThings connectivity is an added bonus as well for wifi connectivity. The washer is also unbelievably quiet during the wash cycle. We replaced another Samsung unit that was still operating but we wanted to upgrade to this model. The multi control accessory is also an awesome feature for the Stacked units so you can control the dryer from below on the washer control panel. We also added the side dryer vent accessory that worked well for our installation. If you were contemplating buying this set this should help make up your mind!! BUY IT! YOU WON'T BE DISAPPOINTED!!

excellent dryer as all my cloths take one cycle to dry which they used to take multipe cycles in my older dryer. It has a huge capacity to dry up the king bed set with few other cloths easily

Amazing. Sleek, sturdy, and SILENT! Dries in no time. SmartThings connection is perfect for removal notification, no sitting and wrinkling. Connected to washer with the MultiControl Kit, even though not stacked (fits when right next to each other).

The level of cleanliness is not superb and often times we have to Re-wash.

Works well, this is an amazing dryer. It takes 30 minutes to dry a full load of clothes. I am very satisfied with this Samsung dryer and Best Buy’s customer support.

Our first impressions of the DVE50A8800V were strong and positive. It has a beautiful and clean design that is very modern and premium in its appearance. The black finish doesn't darken the room as we were concerned it would. Instead the polished brushed metal finish and glossy appliance door reflect plenty of light. The dryer doesn't have the same breadth of features as the Samsung WF50A8800AV washer and this is just fine. The features supported are thoughtful and will be put to good use. These include the option to specific a time when you want you laundry to be completed, tracking of the energy usage over time, and a step by step guide to help the average domestic ogre like me figure out what settings to use for my load. They even include sensors to indicate if your duct is blocked which is an issue that can lead to fires if neglected. It's a great package that really brings the appliance into the future. Lots of design consideration went into finding ways to connect the two devices to improve the experience of doing laundry. You can link your washer and dryer in the SmartThings app to automatically set the dryer to an appropriate setting based on the wash cycle you just used. The units can also be stacked and controlled from just the bottom set of controls on the washer--no more step ladder required! It even has it's own dedicated water line you can split off from the washer for true steam generation. You'll find support for advanced phone integration to operate and fine-tune the dryer cycles, AI to predict your dryer cycles and compatibility with Alexa, Google Assistant or Bixby for notifications and control. It's a very impressive technology package. So far we are extremely pleased with the performance of the dryer and have zero concerns. The capacity of this unit (7.5 cu. ft.) is enough for a large comforter with plenty of room to tumble. Just like it's washing machine peer it operates with little noise and no noticeable vibration. And if you're like me, you like to pull out dress shirts while damp to hang and they have you covered with a dampness sensor that does just that. This is a great looking unit and is extremely well paired with the fraternal twin washing machine. I'm looking forward to learning more about the many features and technology it has to offer. Now if I could only just say "Computer, do my laundry" without the need to load or fold and hang my clothes....

The product came with scratches on the side. Very disappointing and not something I expected buying a new product...

Upgraded to a little over a week ago from an old combo stacked washer/dryer unit. Pros: Nice capacity Very quiet, nearly silent Lots of preset modes Included rack is nice (but small-ish) Dries most things pretty quickly if spun the right amount Lint collector is well designed Most auto-sense of dryness modes work well Controls through washer control panel when stacked (extra connector cord required) So-So: Rack for non-spin drying items could be wider The app requires permissions it shouldn't need + doesn't appear to offer a firmware version check/upgrade option Cons: EcoDry doesn't remember I keep turning it off Steam refresh seems to spray items and leave them wet Auto-sensing of dryness on some cycles leaves items damp End of cycle chime is terrible and only offers on or off (no options for other chimes or a simple tone) No riser/pedestal states if weight of both washer and dryer is supported when stacked

I recently purchased the Samsung 5.0 cu. ft. Extra-Large Capacity Smart Dial Front Load Washer with OptiWash™ and Samsung 7.5 cu. ft. Smart Dial Electric Dryer with Super Speed Dry (WF50A8800AV & DVE50A8800V) through the insiders. When it first arrived I felt like I had just received a laundry set from the future. Once I hit the power button, the machine clearly explained the set up and various features. I truly love the different modes for different loads. Especially the bedding mode. I love the steam sanitizer feature most of all. Our clothes and linens feel just, if not better than when we first purchased them! Everything comes out so soft and fresh. I feel like i have never had real clean clothes until NOW. I am amazed at the fact that I can control my both washer and dryer from my alexa device, phone or from the washer alone. The dryer has a inner stand that I am able to place tennis shoes on. The washer and dryer both have a nice sleek and slim design! The both hold double what my old machines could hold. Its like doing laundry at a luxurious laundromat. So worth the money.

The drum capacity had plenty of space to dry large loads of laundry or comforters/duvets. The AI integration recommends the drying cycle that best matches the wash cycle you just used, so the transfer to start process is so much quicker as well. The fact that you can stack the dryer on top of the matching washer is an added bonus to save that extra space in your laundry room. Additionally, I really did appreciate the clean look and ability to get access to everything either through the spin dial or the SmartThings app from my phone.

Our dryer, purchased three years ago, is performing exceptionally well.

First and foremost, the most important thing about any dryer is whether or not it gets the job done. My previous dryer was top of the line, latest technology, gas, and no matter what setting, one cycle just couldn't cut it. Clothes, towels, sheets, were all still moist. I was so dissapointed with having to run the dryer more than once and the prolonged time of the cycles was inconvenient. I decided to give this electric dryer a chance. I can't comment if the energy cost is higher yet, I have not noticed a significant jump in my bill yet, but what I can tell you is that one cycle is all it took. I was extremely happy with the result. The smart tachnology "senses" ur laundry load and helps you to gauge settings. The smart things app allows you to track your dry cycle which greatly helps you to plan time around your chores. The piano black is absolutely stunning, fingerprint free, and looks great in a white laundry room. The door opens from left to right, so the door when open would be against a right wall. The noise is much less than my previous units. I absolutely recommend this unit and like I said it actually drys everything out! You won't be able to believe that you went this long without a smart app compatible dryer.

Dryer with smart features. I can control all settings from my mobile and very easy to use.

2 years old now and going strong. works great just a minor complaint about the dry sensor does not work well with large loads, blankets & towels. always damp in the middle. Timed dry for those loads works perfect.
