Absolute worst thing I have ever bought for $1000. This tv is the farthest a tv can get to being a smart tv. I use this tv for streaming services only and it will work great for about a half an hour then either freeze or reboot itself. When the tv freezes you must hold the power button down to reboot it. Very frustrating when you are watching a movie and half to keep restarting the app. I would return but past my return period. Stay away from this dumb tv!!

If I could give a zero star I will give you guys a negative start rating. That's how bad Samsung is this TV is super glitchy slow and a lot of logging and bugs, especially at a long time period of use. Samsung didn't do anything they don't want to refund. They tried to fix it but there's no problem. It's just how they designed. The TV is is slow. It's how they want customer to buy a slow TV worth of $1,100. I'm so disappointed that they don't want to help me. Don't buy this product. Such a waste of money. You're way too wise to fall to this trick of Samsung

TV resets, constantly turns on and off itself, sometimes immediately, other times after 5-30 minutes of turning on. Now have to wait 10 days before a technician comes back out to diagnose and try to resolve. Bowl games and all Holiday events not watchable, which was a main reason for the timing of our purchase. Unclear if issue is with TV or installation.

      Hi,

Thank you for purchasing the Samsung AU8000 Crystal UHD TV. I am sorry to hear that you are experiencing a power cycling issue where your TV is turning itself on and off repeatedly.

While you wait for a technician to evaluate the issue, you may want to try a few troubleshooting steps that may help solve the issue:

      1) Check the power cable for damage and proper connection.

      2) If the cable is bent, broken, kinked, pinched, pressed excessively (possibly by a heavy object on top of it) or damaged, this is likely the cause of the issue. Replace the cable.

      3) Unplug the TV from the wall outlet for 30 seconds, and then plug it back in.

      4) If the power cycling allows enough time in between powering on and off, try updating the TV to the latest firmware. There is a risk, however. If the TV turns off during the software update, it could damage the TV. Updates can take up to 30 minutes depending on network speed, so if the TV is not turning off too frequently, try updating the software.

If the issue persists after these steps, then the TV will likely need service. Should you have additional questions or need assistance after the visit with the technician please call us at 1-800-SAMSUNG (ask for TVs), available 8AM - 12AM EST, 7 days a week.

      Hi SukhmanG,

Thank you for sharing your experience with low volume on the Samsung AU8000 TV. There are several volume features you can adjust, which may improve your audio experience.

      1) Auto Volume automatically adjusts the sound to a certain level when changing channels or switching to another external input. Go to Settings > Sound > Expert Settings > Auto Volume.

      2) Adaptive Sound automatically adjusts to a specific volume level while watching TV. The TV analyzes your volume usage history by time period to automatically adjust the volume when you use an app or switch to an external input source. Go to Settings> Sound> Sound Mode> Adaptive Sound.

      3) Several Sound Modes are likewise available to meet your personal preferences: Home > Settings > Sound > Sound Mode

Also, some sources have their own volume control, which might need to be set higher. Please check the volume control of the external device (cable box or satellite box, DVD, Blu-ray, etc.) connected to your TV. Also, check the cable connection between an external device and the TV and then try the cable connection again.

If you need more help, Samsung is here for you. Please call us at 1-800-SAMSUNG, 8 AM - 12 AM EST, seven days a week. Our LiveChat agents are also available by clicking on the ‘Support’ link on our website.

      Hi JpJp,

Thank you for purchasing the Samsung AU8000 TV and for sharing your experience with your TV not displaying properly. Please know we are here to help you. You may want to try the following troubleshooting steps:

      1. If any external devices are connected, check all input cable connections

      2. If the issue persists, define exactly what is wrong with the display. For example, mosaics and blocks, multiple lines or white dots, fixed horizontal, or vertical lines.

      3. Try changing channels using the remote control. Is the issue the same on all channels?

      4. Press the Home button (looks like a house), select Source, choose another input source. Is the issue the same on all sources?

      5. If the same problem persists, run a diagnostic test. (Home > Settings > Support > Device Care > Self Diagnosis > Picture Test)

      6. If the problem disappears during the test, check your TV signal (Home > Settings > Support > Device Care > Self Diagnosis > Signal Information) to check the signal strength. Signal strength must be more than 20 dB (more than 4 bars on the icon) for stable signal reception.

Should your issue persist, please get in touch with Samsung Customer Support at 1-800-SAMSUNG, 8 AM - 12 AM EST, seven days a week. LiveChat with an agent, as well as manuals, software, and warranty info, can be found at the ‘Support’ link on our Samsung website.

      Hi Defective,

I am sorry to hear about your troubles. We appreciate your review of the Samsung AU8000 TV. We are here to help, and I have a few troubleshooting tips that should help.

First, let's make sure your firmware is up to date. To do so, head to Settings > Support > Software Update. From there, you can easily update if needed.

Next, 1. Run a Picture Test on the TV.

Navigate to Settings, select Device Care, and then select Self Diagnosis. Select Picture Test, select OK and then view the test. You can choose Yes if the picture looks normal, No if there is a problem with the picture, or Show again to see the image a second time.

      2. Determine if lines are appearing during the Picture Test.

Look for a line or lines on the screen during the Picture Test. If there are no lines, this means your TV is working fine. To identify and fix the issue, first, try replacing the cable of the external device that is showing lines.

      - If the lines still appear after replacing the cable, troubleshoot the external device.
      - If lines appear during the Picture Test, proceed to the next step.

      3. Request service if lines appear during the Picture Test.

If you see lines during the Picture Test, please visit our Support Center to request service. When calling, ensure you have the TV's model code, software version, and serial number. You can contact us at 1-800-SAMSUNG, 8 AM - 12 AM EST, seven days a week. Or visit us on the Samsung website and click on the ‘Support’ link for:

      Hi MVA312,

Thank you for purchasing the 75" AU8000 Crystal UHD TV and for sharing your review. Your experience with frequent power issues is important to us and will be shared with our product teams. Please try the troubleshooting steps below:

      1. Unplug the TV from the wall outlet or surge protector and leave it unplugged for 30 seconds.
      2. Check the power cord to see if there is any visible damage.
      3. Plug the TV power cord back into the wall outlet. If you were using a surge protector, bypass it for now and use a wall outlet.
      4. Try to update the software. In some cases, a software update can correct the problem. There is a risk, however. If the TV turns off during the software update, it could damage the TV. Updates can take up to 30 minutes depending on network speed, so if the TV is not turning off too frequently, try updating the software.

Please know, Samsung stands behind the quality and performance of our TVs with a limited 1-year manufacturer’s warranty when purchased brand-new from an authorized dealer. If the TV continues to turn off by itself continuously, please contact our Samsung Customer Support for additional troubleshooting or warranty information.

      Hi LeticiaM,

We appreciate your feedback on the Samsung AU8000 TV. Samsung is committed to providing the best possible product experience, quality, and value. We back this Samsung TV with a 1-year limited manufacturer's warranty, including authorized repair for manufacturer defect, if purchased brand-new directly from an authorized seller.

If you've switched on your TV and the sound comes through fine, but you do not see any picture, there are three potential issues.

      1) A connection issue; is the most common problem where there is a bad connection, faulty cables, or improper installation.
      2) An issue with the device connected to the TV. There may be a video output setting on the device that you must set properly before it will output to the TV.
      3) There is something wrong with the TV, requiring a technician to assess the TV and find a solution.

Please give us the opportunity to assist you by contacting Samsung Customer Support at 1-800-SAMSUNG, 8 AM - 12 AM EST, seven days a week. Our LiveChat agents are also available by clicking on the ‘Support’ link on our website.

      Hi JfonsecaF,

It’s unfortunate to hear you’re not fully satisfied with your AU8000 TV’s image quality. If the picture you’re seeing is not to your liking, there are several picture settings you may want to try adjusting.

Go to Home > Settings > Picture > Picture Mode and select the mode that best fits your usage:

      1) Standard: Default mode suitable for general viewing environments.
      2) Natural: Reduces eye strain for a comfortable viewing experience.
      3) Movie: Suitable for watching TV or movies in a dark room.
      4) Dynamic: Makes the picture brighter and clearer in bright viewing environments.
      5) Filmmaker Mode: You can watch the source content (e.g., movie) as it is. If the image is defined as Filmmaker Mode, it will automatically switch to Filmmaker Mode while watching.

You can also go to Settings > Picture > Expert Settings > to manually fine-tune your image.
