Great Tv, over time may see whiter side around tv.
||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Alrighty then…So I’m a huge fan of Samsung tvs. I’ve been buying the brand for my living room for the past 10 years. I just love the build and quality of the tv. Last year I decided to go bigger so I got the 75” and wow. Everything was great. Brightness was great. The intelligent mode is awesome. Specially when activating the adaptive picture mode. It adjust everything to your viewing in the room. I was so happy. The only thing I dislike about this particular make and model is overtime I noticed the left hand corner of the tv tends to be on the whiter side. Does not affect the viewing for my family but I notice it here and there. For instance seeing a red screen during commercials the top left corner is more of a lighter red. Not just that color, any color turns to a lighter side. Never the true color it was intended to be. Again this problem just happened over time. It’s been 14 months until this had happened. All in all great tv in the beginning. The photos taken are not actually blue in the left hand corner. They are just a lighter shade of the color displayed.

Ehhh average
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this TV being a bigger and higher tier than the one I have. Q60 but I found out that this model has speakers with less wattage than my previous one and although they adjust accordingly with noise ambiance they don't sound as good. The image on the TV sometimes blurs when it moves fast. The operating system on this one isn't as smooth as the smaller older Samsung tv I have. The TV is just too heavy to remove from the stand and take back to the store.

White spots
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great TV picture, except for the big white spots on the tv when the lights are off and watching a movie. A $2200 tv shouldn’t have this issue. Also having bad ‘jutter’ issues, and have played with all the settings. Hopefully it’s just a one off issue. I’m remit (which is a huge pain) for a different one.

Dead pixels after 21 months of use
||Posted . Owned for 1.5 years when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This TV was great at first. Then the internet connection always failed so we purchased an Apple TV (way better UX anyway). Now 21 months in, and we have a horizontal line of dead pixels across the screen. I expect so much more from Samsung and for the product to last for several years. One year warranty is way too short! I won’t be buying another Samsung.

Not so Smart TVs
||Posted . Owned for 6 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The SmartThings app does NOT work on this TV no matter what I try. I have a Q50R (32") in the next room that works perfectly with SmartThings but the 70T does not. I get "No Registered Scenes and Devices". I've tried customer chat, customer support by phone, forums, internet search, etc and can find NOTHING about this issue and all I get from Customer Support is to reset to factory settings and try again or unplug it and try again. As a software engineer I'm guessing this is a simple problem related to the specific software on the 70T and I'm just the only one to raise an issue. BUT, I can't actually raise the issue because Samsung Customer Support is so completely diluted and there is no place to actually register the issue, so maybe if I make it visible here, someone will actually listen?

Thank you for purchasing the Q70T TV and for your review. I am sorry to hear that you are experiencing issues with your SmartThings app. You might want to try the following steps:
1) Please make sure both devices are connected to the same local network. The phone and TV must be connected to the same network as your router to be discovered by the app.
2) Refresh the device using the SmartThings app. From the Devices tab, swipe down to refresh the device list.
3) Delete and re-add the device on the SmartThings app.
I hope this helps. For further assistance, please contact Samsung Customer Support.

So disappointed with Samsung
||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I am so disappointed with Samsung. Purchased the TV November 2020, screen went dead and was replaced under warranty in August 2021, was told new screen had a one year warranty on it. I has developed a line in it running from top to bottom. Samsung has told me it is not covered under warranty and any repairs to this really expensive, top of the line, best the have television will be all my responsibility. Not going to dwell on it just not going to buy another Samsung.

Black Strip
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Lasted one year & one month...............Now has a dark vertical strip. About six inches wide. I Googled the issue and it sounds common with Samsung. A number of videos indicate the LED strips need to be replaced. I called Best Buy Geek and they have not called me back. I called a local repair shop, they said Samsung does not sell LED strips for this model TV.

Beware of open box items
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Buyer beware. I just purchased this as an open box - excellent condition item. Upon opening the box I found out that the feet were not inside, parts of the item were broken, the remote was "gently" used. This item was not even in fair condition according to the buying option description. Will be returning for refund.

Amazing!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.First of all the build quality and look of this TV is great! The bezel is nearly noticeable the legs are modern-looking and very sturdy. It has slots for a wall mount in the back which i would recommend using. It looks extremely good on the wall! The remote is nice and small and you are able to control anything on the tv without moving your hand around or using your other hand. it is simple to learn and you will get used to it very quickly. The moment you turn on this TV you will notice the speed! the high-end processor in this TV makes every task fast and fluid. changing from app to app is easy. Setup is quick and easy and comes with tons of different customizable things to make it feel more like your own. The picture is the best i have seen. extremely dark blacks and vibrant colors! You can see a noticeable difference with the high refresh rate for your console gaming experience! everything is smoother and even helps the graphics a bit. Samsungs smart things home app works great with this TV. Very easy to link up to your smart home and everything works seamlessly. This beautiful TV is worth the price and with a brand like Samsung behind it you will know that you are getting a top of the line TV! I would recommend this to anyone that is wanting to take their gaming experience to the next level along with an amazing cinematic experience and high-speed product.

Great TV, with one small head-scratcher
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Love this TV. Sharp picture, great color. I really think the sound is quite an improvement over my previous Samsung (a 5-year-old 65”), but still doesn’t hold a candle to my sound bar. Only real complaint is the stand consisting of spindly-looking supports 4 feet apart. While they are more substantial than they look, It would be amazing if most people have their current TV’s on 6-foot wide stands. Fortunately, a few wall=mount manufacturers make tabletop stands using the same VESA concept. This turns out to be a great option, since it also turns out that my TV’s feet don’t click into place like the videos all show. All my searching online doesn’t result in anyone else with the same problem. But even tho’ I don’t need them, I’d sure like to know why they don’t click into place. ( Yes, I know there is a left and right as viewed from the back. They go all they way in, but just don’t latch).

Picture quality cannot be beat!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was skeptical when receiving this TV that the picture quality would be any better than any of the other four 4K televisions I have in my home. Boy was I wrong. The UHD makes all the difference. The colors are so bright and vivid. The clarity is remarkable - the picture is almost too clear (ha!) — you can see every single blemish and fine line. The only complaint I have is with the sound - the sound is not the greatest, but the internal sound isn’t great on any new televisions since the profile is so thin. We hooked up a sound bar and the sound is now perfect. I could not be happier with this TV!

Happy so far
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a beautiful TV. Vibrant colors. Good sound even without a soundbar. We may upgrade and add one later on, but it's fine without so far. It does have a feature that adjusts sound based on environment. It's very cool most of the time, but a bit weird when you're watching sports with a bunch of people. When the group cheers, the TV gets louder to match the noise. It's like you're competing with the TV on volume. The only negative thing I will say about it is we noticed the stand is a bit flimsy for this size of TV. Seems like it could tip over very easily. We mounted it, so it's not an issue for us, but something to consider if you're not mounting.

Bad Choice for Dark Rooms!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Overall, this new Samsung unit did not meet my needs, or my expectations for the price. I acknowledge, the reason this model did not work out is because I am mainly shopping for a large TV for home theater movie experience in a pitch-dark room. Because this display is edge lit (and not very well), it's results were VERY poor for me in my movie room. The amount of backlight bleed was much higher than any previous Samsung models I have owned previously. The backlight and black uniformity performed so poorly in fact, that it was distracting while watching movies, especially when the movies were presented with the black letterbox bars on top and bottom of the picture. No matter how much time I spent calibrating the unit, the distracting white clouds and spotlights were always present, and sometimes even shown through to impact the brightness of the picture of scenes. I even tried getting a second unit, which was even worse. All of that being said, when content was full screen and lights are on in the room, this unit looked excellent. If you are a purchaser looking to put this unit in a well lit room, with a need for VERY bright picture and good handling of reflections, then this is the TV for you. If you are like me however, that needs good dark room performance, skip this unit and move up to one with local dimming backlight options. Pros: - Very bright picture. - Colors are fantastic. - Great for watching full screen, bright content. - UHD upscaling makes even old content look fresh, new and crisp. - The HDMI 2.1 port provides a great, low latency gaming experience. - Excellent software experience and smart features. Cons: - Very poor performance in dark rooms. - Severe backlight bleed that can vary between units and ruin movie watching experience. - Poor price to performance ratio (at time of launch). - Does NOT support Dolby HDR, only supports HDR 10 (which is quickly becoming a standard) - Only one HDMI 2.1 port included (competitors have multiple)

Disappointed With Remote
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is my first 4k TV. My last TV was a 46" 1080p Sanyo with flourescent bulb back lighting. This TV is nice, the clarity and depth of black are very good, and the brightness exceeds my needs. I turned the default brightness down by about 40% because the default brightness made my eyes a bit sore. 75" is huge. I dual-purpose this TV as a PC monitor, so that is why I got a QLED instead of OLED. OLED will experience burn out from static desktop icons and frequently used programs - and I want the TV to last more than a couple years. Also, Samsung has a 10-year garauntee warranty against burn in on their QLED series TVs. I appreciate their confidence in the quality of their products. However, the disappointing part of the purchase is that it was stated the TV would come with 2 remotes: a regular style remote, and the small "wand" remote. My TV only came with the small remote which has very limited functionality. The remote is too small in my opinion and easily slips into couch cushions and small spaces... Of the 14 buttons it does have, 5 of them I will never use: Netflix, Prime Video, Samsung TV Plus, Microphone, and Ambient Mode. So, for my purposes it has only 9 buttons... What this very limited remote lacks is a clear "mute" button. I did not find instructions on the use of the small remote included in the box, so I only found the "mute" function by accident - there is no label. The volume button moves up, down, and is pressed inward to mute. This poor design means that when I push inward to mute the TV, there is a 30% success rate............. That is unacceptable. I would try to use the Samsung Smart Things app as a remote, but it requires a wifi connection separate from my phone's hotspot for use. That means the app does not allow TV control by phone via bluetooth or another method. I cannot use the app. So, to get a fully functional remote experience I will have buy a universal remote or hunt for an app that is compatible with my TV via bluetooth.
