I’ve been using the Samsung 75” Class Q80B QLED 4K Smart Tizen TV for a few months now, and I can confidently say it’s one of the best entertainment investments I’ve made. The picture quality is outstanding—colors are vivid without feeling oversaturated, and the 4K resolution brings every detail to life. I particularly love how the Direct Full Array technology enhances contrast, making movies with lots of dark scenes look clear and vibrant instead of muddy.
One of the features I’ve been most impressed with is the Object Tracking Sound. I didn’t think it would make a big difference, but it truly enhances immersion by aligning the audio with what’s happening on screen. Watching action movies or nature documentaries feels so much more engaging because of it. The Tizen interface is also fantastic—it’s smooth, intuitive, and has all the streaming apps I need. Setting up the TV and connecting it to my smart home devices was seamless.
Gaming on this TV has been another highlight. The low input lag and 120Hz refresh rate make everything feel smooth and responsive, which is a must-have for fast-paced games. I also appreciate the wide viewing angles—my family can spread out on the couch, and everyone gets the same crisp, colorful picture.
The only minor downside I’ve noticed is that the remote is a bit minimalistic. While it looks sleek, I sometimes miss having more dedicated buttons for specific functions. That said, the voice control makes up for it, and I’ve gotten used to the layout over time.
Overall, the Samsung Q80B has been a fantastic addition to my home. Whether I’m watching a movie, gaming, or just streaming a show, it delivers an amazing experience every time. Highly recommend this TV to anyone looking for top-tier quality and performance!

I Love This TV.
The picture quality is excellent. The colors are deep and true. It has really amazing speakers that fill my bedroom with sound so I didn't have to buy a soundbar it has Dolby Atmos right out of the box with the doc speakers. It's super thin and it was very easy to mount on my wall at home by myself. I have an 85 inch TV that is identical to this one but I highly recommend especially for the price.

Now that I've had this tv for a while, I feel confident in giving it a review. I took the opportunity to check this model out in the store before ultimately purchasing online. Picture quality was great. After bonding with it at home, I am still pleased with my decision to purchase. Picture quality is almost too good sometimes, like when I can see the caked on makeup or bad skin of a subject LOL. Wish there was an option to see them with a filter, ooof! I also have no issues with the built-in app platform, and have been able to find all of the apps I was hoping to install. I think the Samsung TV Plus feature is a huge bonus, especially with the free Samsung Health services. Can't connect my watch since I'm an Apple user, but I still love and appreciate the features.
Only two downsides that I would name; the volume doesn't get loud enough for me sometimes, and the space the TV is in isn't huge. I remedied that with a small but mighty sound bar though. Last thing is that sometimes the TV freezes when it's trying to wakeup. For the most part have been able to easily remedy but have had to plug out and back in at least once in the 8 months I've owned it.

It was time for an upgrade and the decision was made towards a Samsung TV. To be honest when I saw the Black Friday deals on the 6 and 7 series I was ready to buy. Then we decided to go with a little more quality one and added the Samsung soundbar (The 65” Q80B + Q750B bundle). Mind was set! When I arrived at Best Buy I made a final comparison for all alternatives that I considered at home. Things change when you see the real demo version. I came out of the store with the 75” and the Q930B :)
The TV comes with a very secure package and the everything is nicely detailed for unboxing and installing (please download the original long manual from Samsung//support/manuals and downloads)
All hardware is included (if you buy the bundle, everything including HDMI is inside the boxes).
The 75 is huge so handling needs to be done patiently and very carefully. No issues during install and finally the moment turning on the giant. Picture quality is outstanding. even sound without the soundbar was great! Design is very neat and it’s a nice slim design. Solar remote is included. I was using the fire tv hdmi and don’t need it any more since Samsung B series have taken care of it. Most of the apps I use were already there ready to use. The original manual has every single detail for a full usage. Not sure if I will have the chance to check all those specs. Using it and trying to learn for the last 48 hours and looks like I just started. Hooked up my old PS and amazing!!! Can’t imagine the most recent PS or xBox. I think below the B series most of the options were 60 Hz and edge lid etc (some were with full lid). The 2022 “B” modes including this Q80B has a refresh rate at 120 Hz and direct full array lit. Once I turned it on and paired with the Samsung sound system Q-symphony was automatically set. Actually, tbh, I did just plug it in and the whole system set it automatically. There are just a few set ups that is guiding you such as password for wireless connection etc.
This TV, and Samsung as always met my expectations and it’s worth every penny!

Awesome! Out of all the Samsung QLED tvs this model made the most sense to me. It had a wide viewing angle unlike the q60/q70, and was cheaper than the q95 (plus I caught it on sale). It produces one of the best pictures I've ever seen. I recently bought this in a 65" as well. Another reason for choosing this model was because it was compatible with the spectrum tv app which alleviates the use for a cable box or roku. I was skeptical at first but I clearly made the right choice! Oh... and the sound is excellent! I currently have one in my loft and another in my living room. I may purchase another one for my office.

We did a lot of research because we have a huge window in our living room, and it was impossible to see our TV in the daytime and there was so much reflection at night. The reviews were 100% spot on. Best TV we’ve ever owned. Regardless of the large amount of natural light, we can fully view this during the day.

Excellent picture quality. Can see dark movies much easier than previous tv. Sound is excellent. Removed or sound bar. We were going to hang it, but decided to put it on our 84" tv cabinet. It is large and heavy but that is what we wanted.

Samsung has amazing screens, but I am not a fan of Samsung software and this is no exception. Pretty nice black and sharp lines for the class, great screen! I just wish it wasn't also a TV. The Samsung interface is very meh. It autoplays "what you last watched" except you always just watched Samsung TV. Even when you are in the settings menu trying to TURN IT OFF!!! After 3 days of online guides, tier 3 Samsung online tech help, and me almost returning the thing, Samsung TV was successfully silenced by removing each channel individually in a secret submenu my wife found. They also made the useful links ('flix, prime, ect.) The smallest part of the menu, with again Samsung TV (or whoever is "sponsored") being first and not removable or moveable. The remote is barebones. The final kicker is the speaker is atrocious. It thinks it is a surround sound, but honey you aren't even a sound bar. Speaking of, be prepared to get a sound bar. I'm no audiofile either, a 100 dollar Sony soundbar is the difference between everything being mumbles at 80٪ volume level to being able to understand a mumbler at a nighttime volume level. I was only able to adjust sound levels the first day, they did not help, and after that the option was greyed out, maybe i set something wrong or the update did it. Don't stress it, just get an external sound system and don't worry about how much you spent just to have to buy more things.
I dunno, I got it on sale, its fine. I'm less mad about my choice. I can get to what I want to watch and it looks nice. Have you looked into other options? I would.

Brand response from Samsung

Farmsmyth,
We appreciate you sharing your experience. While your Q80B TV may currently default to Samsung’s TV Plus app, please know you can choose what your TV does when you turn it on by going to Menu > Settings > All Settings > General & Privacy > Start Screen Option > Autorun Smart Hub
1) Enabling Autorun Smart Hub automatically launches the Smart Hub when the TV is turned on. Navigate to this option to enable or disable the feature. 2) If Autorun Last App is set to on, the last used app is automatically run when you turn on the TV. You can turn this function on or off by pressing the Select button in the current menu.
The Q80B features Intelligent Mode to optimize sound tailored to your environment, which includes features like Active Voice Amplifier (AVA) which further detects disturbances and enhances the on-screen voices for clear dialogue.
Go to Home > Menu > Settings > All Settings > General & Privacy > Intelligent Mode Settings. Turn the options on or off to meet your needs: - Active Voice Amplifier is available only when the sound sensor of the TV is active and the sound output is set to TV Speaker, or a Samsung Soundbar interlinked with Adaptive Picture is connected. - Adaptive Sound+ provides optimized sound quality by analyzing the viewing space and the acoustic components of the content. - Adaptive Volume Automatically adjusts to a specific volume level while you are watching TV.
Several Sound Modes are likewise available to meet your personal preferences: Settings > All Settings > Sound > Sound Mode
You can also customize sound by going to: Settings > All Settings > Sound > Expert Settings
If a menu setting is grayed out, this does not indicate that something is wrong with your TV. It just means that a function or certain settings are not available based on the current source, settings, or connections. For example, some options may be grayed out if you are currently watching content from an app or external device. Long press the 'Return' key on your remote to exit the program you are in and go back to the menu - all settings should now be available.
If you need more help, Samsung is here for you. Please call us at 1-800-SAMSUNG, 8AM - 12AM EST, 7 days a week. Our LiveChat agents are also available by clicking on the ‘Support’ link on our website.

After several weeks of having the Samsung 75 Q80B, I can say that it meet all my expectations and then some. Very pleased with picture quality, colors and sound. The size is perfect for the family room, I was a bit hesitant about this tv, after having a terrible experience with a new LG that I bought and returned a few days later. But I am glad I bought the Samsung tv, it was a bit more than I wanted to pay but I’m glad I spent the extra money!,
