I have long owned Samsung tvs for my house, the last one I had mounted on that wall was my 55’ Q70 series and it was great. Going into this new Q80 I expected the software to be just as good if not better then the previous gen but I’m still getting used to it. I wish it was a bit faster going to and from the most used apps like Netflix and YouTube. The user interface is really the only bad thing I have to say when it came to this switch but when we get to picture, clarity, brightness it is all still the Samsung quality you’re paying for. I haven’t used the tv speaker because of the sound bar but I would recommend a sound bar to anyone getting a tv this size it’ll definitely change your experience. I only gave it “Good” because I’m left wondering if the same series I had before in the different size might’ve been the better option.

You can check to see what software version your TV is using and if there is an update available by going to: Home > Menu > Settings > Support > Software Update > Update Now.
You may also want to further optimize performance with the self-diagnostic tool, which checks memory, frees up unused cached memory, and closes background apps. Go to: Home > Menu > Settings > Support > Device Care > Start Device Care

The picture is very clear,I love that the tv has alexa. When someone rings the doorbell, I can now see who is at the front door o this tv.

Easy to use , google assistant is a tad slow but works reliably. Solar charge remote is a big plus , not wasting batteries. Overall, Great TV

But after months of using it, less than a year, I’m starting to see some burn-in pixels. Small enough to not really notice unless you are looking for one. But for what I paid for, I expected better quality.
