The TV has a great color picture but serious defect with backlight bleeding into the dark areas of the television. This is my 2nd TV as I returned an 82 inch with the same issue.

This TV is best viewed straight on. Any variance left or right the picture quality suffers significantly.

Samsung you let me down this time. But I guess you get what you pay for. After one month the top LED panel went out, such a disappointment and a hassle since I had it mounted to the wall. I switched to Sony for an 85”. I have a house full of Samsung TV’s and I can’t say I will buy any more once it comes time to replace them as build quality seems to be getting worse. I hope Samsung can change my mind as I love their universal remote and interface. But when buying an 85” for $1700 you get the quality you pay for I guess. Best Buy was great to work with helping me do an exchange. Thank god I had geek squad protection. Samsung customer service was terrible to work with, never returned my call, and when I did get an appointment they cancelled it when I didn’t pick up the phone. Called geek squad, came out two days later, exchanged it that day. Five stars for Best Buy they know customer service.

Purchased in 2020 and we are still loving this tv! Everything works perfect, Great quality picture. Room for improvement on the audio just wish it was a little louder

Great size. Color is amazing. If you're a gamer like me, this TV will do an amazing job for you. Looks great with movies, sound is good, apps on the TV are great. I would recommend this to a friend for purchase.

This is our third 8000 series Samsung screen so maybe we're biased or more likely this is the best picture quality for the price. This latest model added Netflix and Amazon Prime Video buttons to the remote - very handy. The best new feature is the eARC HDMI port that transmits surround sound through the HDMI cable to your AV system.

This TV is aWe$oM€... just freaking fantastic. The feet have 2 different stance positions (1) wider or (2) a little more towards the middle. When measured from leftmost tip of stand foot, to rightmost tip of stand foot, the feet are 67" apart, and when in the more middle spot, the tips of the feet are at 54" apart, which was an important detail missing when I was trying to figure out if I could get it to fit on my stand. I ended up having 2 identical stands, side by side, and it worked out great. The screen is huge. The pic is great. Worth every penny. The best money I ever spent. The screen is so huge that when I first started playing Xbox on it, I was getting mild motion sickness from the screen moving around so much when playing Call of Duty - which I never would've guessed would happen from a TV?!? I adjusted to the screen movements quickly and no longer get the motion sickness, and absolutely love the tv! Bottom line... Buying this = Best. Decision. Ever. I will never go back to a smaller TV after this! If you are thinking about buying this, just do it. So worth it. So amazing. Thank you Samsung! I never had anything like this when I was a kid and now my kids have the "big daddy" of TV's to enjoy! Thank you.

Clear, nice full veiw TV. Remember to get a sound bar for best sound. Ez set up, tv recognizes all devices especially same brand devices, its big going to need help with putting on a stand especially being mounted. If going on a stand make sure the stand table is wide enough for the feet on this television.

I'm not an overly picky person. If I can see what I'm watching and the colors are good then I'm generally happy. You'll see tons of reviews of tvs with "washed out blacks" or backlight bleeding, or any other number of items that 99% of people won't even notice. As for this tv I have it in a basement, but even with all our lights on it's plenty bright. Blacks look black. Colors are good. It turns on and off super fast. It has plenty of input options as well. The UI leaves something to be desired though. I hate the fluid motion settings that give the "soap opera effect". Turning them off was a chore because if you turn another option back on it can re-enable 5 other options. Also having to make sure our PC and the tv were running at the same FPS was a bit of a pain. The other major con is not being able to get rid of the advertising they put on it. It's a $1500 tv and they put ads on it. If I could find a way to "hack" the tv and remove all the bloatware on it I would. Overall though I really like the tv and it works perfectly fine for our needs as a multimedia tv hooked to our PC.
