Didn’t have the tv for thanksgiving and now won’t have it for Christmas and new year

There's more to life than a great picture, and this TV is horrible. Like every other Samsung I've had it constantly turns itself off and back on, but more so than any other. Also it constantly decides there is no signal and you have to unhook the hdmi cable and put it back in, which is bad for the hdmi connection. I had beeen sold on Samsung but now I will never buy another one.

Hi HELP,
Thank you for purchasing the Samsung Frame TV and for sharing your experience with your TV turning on/off on its own.
Please try these trouble-shooting steps: 1) Check the One Connect Connection Cable for damage and proper connection. 2) If the cable is bent, broken, kinked, pinched, pressed excessively (possibly by a heavy object on top of it) or damaged, this is likely the cause of the issue. Replace the cable. 3) Unplug the TV from the wall outlet for 30 seconds, and then plug it back in. 4) If the power cycling allows enough time in between powering on and off, try updating the TV to the latest firmware by enabling Auto Update: Settings > Support > Software Update > Auto Update (you will need to be connected to the internet for this to work)
If the issue persists after these steps, then the TV may need service. Please contact us so that we can better investigate your issue and assist you towards a solution or replacement. You can reach us at 1-800-SAMSUNG (ask for TVs), available 8AM - 12AM EST, 7 days a week.
For additional support resources, visit us on the Samsung website and click on the ‘Support’ link in the upper right corner of the homepage for: 1) Contact Us: For additional Chat & Text options, choose ‘TVs & Home Theater’ and select your model & topic. 2) Manuals, Software, & Warranty Info
We hope to hear from you.

Don’t waste your money on this tv. If you tend to watch faster moving videos or if there is anything fast moving on the tv the picture will blur. This tv is not worth the cost please don’t waste your money on this tv.

Bought this amazing TV for gaming and movies. Once connected and mounted the picture continuously goes out for approx 4 seconds before coming back on. Happens about 4 times an hour. Highly disappointed. And the return/replacement has been a nightmare too. I’ve been trying to get a replacement for over a month.

MikeTuggle,
Thank you for choosing Samsung's QN800A TV and for sharing your experience. If your TV has an intermittent black screen even when it's on, it's quite possible it could actually be your external device and not your TV. Please try these troubleshooting steps for your blank screen issue:
1. Check the One Connect cable for damage and solid connection. Disconnect and firmly reconnect the One Connect cable at both ends. Note: If the One Connect cable is bent, broken, kinked, pinched, or has a heavy object on top of it, it can cause an issue. The cable needs to be replaced if damaged.
2. Disconnect the One Connect Box (either by disconnecting its power cord, or the One Connect cable) to see if the TV displays an error message. If you see anything (like a message or picture) on the TV after disconnecting the One Connect Box, the One Connect Box needs to be replaced. If the TV is plugged into a wall outlet, turned on, and disconnected from the One Connect Box, but no message appears, your TV will need service.
3. Press the Home button on the remote. If the menu does not appear, the TV may be having power issues. Check the red standby light, a little red light at the edge of the TV that you aim the remote at. In normal use, the red standby light is on when the TV is off (indicating the TV is on standby), and the red standby light is off when the TV is in use (or doesn't have power).
4. Confirm the TV is set to the same source as the external device. For instance, if your cable box is connected to HDMI 1, set the TV source to HDMI 1. If the TV is set to the correct source, but there is still no image, unplug and reconnect the AV connections one cable at a time, from both ends of each cable. If there's any damage to the cable, it will need to be replaced. After you've reconnected the external device, turn it off and then back on.
5. Test the HDMI cable. Some TVs have an HDMI cable test. Some models only have this test after a software update, and older models do not have it. If your model does not have this test, or is not connected by HDMI, skip to the next step. The test is designed for HDMI cords less than 6 feet long and may not give accurate results on longer cords. To perform the test, make sure the TV's source is still on the HDMI setting for the cable you want to test, and then navigate to Settings > Support > Self Diagnosis > Signal Information > HDMI Cable Test > Start Test. If the test says the cable is bad, replace the cable. Service is not required.
6. Test different external devices. The final thing to rule out is the external device you're using. Try connecting a different device or using a different source port. If you were unable to test the cable in the previous step, then try swapping the cable, too. If the TV can display a picture in any other setup, then you've ruled the TV out as the cause of the issue. Keep trying various setups until you identify the device or cable that is not working and troubleshoot or replace it.
If the issue persists after these steps, then the TV will need service. Please contact us so that we can better investigate your issue and assist you towards a solution or replacement. Call us at 1-800-SAMSUNG (ask for TVs), available 8AM - 12AM EST, 7 days a week.

Out of the box, this TV's picture looked absolutely horrible. There was way too much blue, the brights were totally blinding and the darks were pitch black with no detail. It was only after I got an HDMI 2.1 cable, enabled input signal plus on the TV, enabled HDR with full color depth on the computer and researched how to adjust the TV's picture settings that it started to look OK. Running the TV at 4K / 120 Hz is the best way to go. 8K at 60 Hz isn't as good. Hence, the 8K is a total waste of time and money. Lastly, the sound on this TV is total garbage - some of the worst I've ever heard out of any TV. It's difficult to make out words when watching programs and it all seems to mish-mash / echo unintelligibly together The solution for me is to wear bluetooth headphones. My iphone 12 pro max puts out better sound than this thing and is a fraction of the size. For the money, this wasn't worth it. You're better off getting a higher spec 4K OLED with better sound and picture. On the positive side, 4K at 120 Hz and carefully researched and adjusted picture settings makes it look pretty good. But for the money, this thing should support a higher refresh rate at 8k and come with some better built in speakers. I'll also say that the difference between 4k and 8k, even with an 85 inch TV screen is practically unnoticeable. The so-called "upscalling" seems more of a myth than a reality.

Great picture for sure, but tonight, sitting on the sofa, watching a program 9 days after the TV was delivered, the screen goes black and the TV shuts itself off. Tried restarting it - nothing. Tried power cycling - nope. The TV is dead. Hard to imagine that a state-of-the-art TV at this price point (cost more than the last three TVs I've purchased combined) could perform like this. Disappointed doesn't begin to explain how I'm feeling right about now. BB will bring a new one on Monday; let's hope the first one was a fluke - we'll see. If it happens again I'll never buy another Samsung product no matter how superior it may seem versus the competition. Wish me luck.

I've bought this TV worked good Picture awesome two months after warranty expired TV does not work . I bought Samsung in the past and have four other tv's that are older and date back maybe 15 years. The 85" TV Samsung says they will fix and honor warranty however any certified TV repair will not work on due to size and Best Buy will not work on unless you have a subscription . I think after paying 3700.00 for a TV it should work for more than a year and a half . If not you shouldn't have to jump through hoops to get service. I used Best Buy my seems like forever until now and will never buy another Samsung product. You shouldn't have to buy a service and or worry Tv will not work after such a short time. Be wary .

Purchased 3 weeks ago and LOVED it. Beautiful picture but then it would just go completely dark. I would unplug and reset for a bit and the same thing would happen after about an hour. Now it powers on but he picture is completely blacked out. I will return this tomorrow to Best BUY sooo disappointed.
