Gave my grandson an old Dell LT that I had but it needed some upgrades. Geek Squad installed a Samsung 870 EVO 1TB SSD and Windows 10. It has no moving parts, has a very fast boot time; it is really fast. If you have the older type SATA HD, I would highly recommend switching to a SSD. I purchased a similar 2TB SSD for my wife's laptop as well. Considering the vast improvement with speed and boot time, the cost was worth it for both; the cost of the SSDs were very reasonable also.

Great internal hard drive. I purchased 2 of these. I had an older Asus laptop with an HDD with Windows 10 and took about 12 minutes to fully load. After replacing the HDD with the Solid State drive and reinstalling Windows, it takes less than 30 seconds to boot. I also have a gaming desktop which did have an SS 250 GB drive, but that was too small and kept running out of space. The rest of the computer is in great shape, but just needed that additional boost of storage. Desktop boots up with no delays and was able to reinstall Windows with no problems.

I've installed over 150 of these drives. NOT 1 returned. Best drives on the market - PERIOD.

My hard drive on my PS4 gave out on me. After a little bit of research I decided to purchase this SSD. Very happy with how it has been performing. Took just minutes to replace with my old hard drive and now I’m back up and running. Great price as well.

Fit perfectly in the space where my old hdd used to be
Laptop boots more quickly and programs load MUCH more quickly
With the SSD, laptop now doesn't get as warm (no moving parts in SSD)
Too soon to comment on how durable or long-lasting it will be. If it lasts a long time, I'd change Quality Rating to Excellent.
I performed a clean installation and did not try Samsung's cloning software

I needed a new drive as the existing SATA HDD was beginning to show bad areas. This Samsung was on sale but I was going to get it anyway as I have used similar Samsung SSDs for myself and others before. Set up was so simple and all the old drive data was easily transferred using the data migration tool. PC now runs perfectly and much faster so if your looking for an SSD, this is a great choice.

I have this SSD in my Dell Optiplex 790 desktop and it works perfectly, also have the same kind of SSD in my MPC X drum machine/sampler. Works just fine, downloading speeds and updates in firmware and apps are super fast and smooth in both my machines.

I was a little apprehensive buying this drive because of my use case - I needed another drive to record to from my Atomos Shogun Inferno, Samsung has discontinued the previous version of the drive and Atomos hasn't updated their drive compatibility list in a while. So while I was fairly sure it would work, I was a little nervous trying it out on an actual client project for the first time.
So far I've only used it on one project, but that all said, it works - it recorded media with no errors and just generally behaved like any of the older drives I have. I used it off and on for 3 days of shooting with no problems.
