This SSD is one of two identical drives that I installed into a new home server. TV recordings will be stored on each so the drives undergo a few adds and deletes daily but nowhere near as frequent as an OS drive. The EVO series have all performed well for me for years so unless they start failing or developing problems I'll continue buying and using them whenever needed.

This is an awesome and excellent product for the price and I highly recommend it to people looking to upgrade their storage space. I bought this product for my PS4 and ot works like a charm. I plan on buying the 2TB model fory old laptop and an extra 1TB model just to have as extra storage.

Works as described. Easy to set up. Like it better than the different cloud storage systems because I am in control, not an algorithm running the cloud. I can also take it to another computer and access my files.

We're at the point where we know: SSDs are where it's at. This was a valuable yet cheap upgrade to an aging computer that gave it new life from the old platter drive it had. Samsung also offering free migration/cloning options is also invaluable, even for the most un-tech savvy folks out there.

I haven't had a lot of experience with SSDs but I have had my fair share of installing hard drives. For sake of ease? This was among one of the easiest to install in my rig. But for sake of use? I had no real luck utilizing this hard drive, between the Samsung Magician not being exactly helpful with troubleshooting and anything I stored and ran off of it ran worse than my pre installed SSD and even the HDD I installed after replacing the Samsung one. It could have just been a bad unit, but doing everything from formatting it and reinstalling it from scratch yielded no different results.

It’s a good backup SSD. I use it for games because I can’t put an M.2 on this pc until a new motherboard. But for now, it’s faster than my WD SSD by a little and it’s good space for the price. Fits flight sim, gta 5, and a bunch of other big games I play and loads them all fast and fine.

Samsung is always the most reliable company for SSD, the speeds for reading and writing left every other company behind, definitely I recommend this drives fro your computer upgrades!!

Super simple to set up and transfer my games over. I was having issues with stuttering in FPS games running on a regular HD I downloaded them on this SSD and now they run great. Almost thought of upgrading my pc until I found this fix.

I’m super impressed! I had a WD Black HDD befofe upgrading. I got about 120-130MB/s read and write. This SSD benchmarked for me at 550-570MB/s read and write! The samsung data migration software was easy and took me about 1.5 hours to transfer 500gb from my HDD to the SSD. My window boot time is 14 seconds. Seriously no regrets or issues!

Works fine. Easy to configure. For anyone looking to use this to download steam games onto and play, steam is not a fan of externals and your games will download and update noticably slower then onto a SSD.

This was easy to install and has made my laptop way faster.

To keep it brief, I'll say that I'm not using it for my PC; I'm using it as an external for my PS4 Pro. It works great. I will add that, using a USB 3.0 enclosure, I only achieved 350 MB/s read/write on my Mac for benchmarking, which is definitely lower than the advertised 500 MB/s max speeds. All said and done, though, I got this on a deep discount. This is a quality, competitive SSD from Samsung.
