I've purchased several of these in the past and none of them ever failed me. Even installing on a 2015 Dell machines, you can see and feel a great deal of performance improvement right after you replace the HDD. And that machine should be good to go for another few years.

Went with Samsung due to their reputation for reliability and have not been disappointed. My tests on throughput for both read and write mbps show that it exceeds it rated specification, at least with Linux.

Samsung SSD is the standard by which all others are judged. You get what you pay for. The fastest? Not always? But reliable and good enough. Samsung software works well for cloning.

I purchased this SSD because it's rated quite high. I copied my operating system to it as a backup. When I tested it in my system it booted amazingly fast, much faster than my current SSD.

Highly recommended. This drive improved boot up time. It used to take about ten minutes, now all of 2 minutes. The frame rate in VR has also drastically improved. The Samsung data transfer utility worked flawlessly. Love this drive so much after installation, I bought another one 15 minutes later and got rid of my HD altogether.

The best purchased to replace my laptop's hard drive. When I cloned my laptop's hard drive to Samsung 870 Evo 1TB SSD the result is painless to install all I just did is swap the drives and after that I boot the laptop and now it loads faster than before which is convenient to me for my everyday task to use especially for my work.

Downloaded the entirety of Baldur's Gate (Around 150gb) in under 20 minutes. Read and write speeds are insanely good an offer nice mounting pieces in case you get the bracket and screws to do so.

Product is quite simple to review...It works perfectly,just as advertised and expected from a quality manufacturer Samsung. It fits nicely into the spot provided in my computer, right next to another SSD of smaller capacity. Cloned my existing hard drive onto the new 1TB SSD and all is functioning nicely.

If you have to get a sata III, the Samsung line does it the best. Solid read and write speeds consistently. Longevity is amazing on the Samsung drives.
