I bought this for a pretty old computer that was still running an HDD. Great way to give life to an old computer. System runs WAY faster than before and has been given another life.

Needed some extra storage for older Intel Quad Core PC. Ended up using Samsung - 870 EVO 500GB SSD as storage and used EaseUS Partition Master Pro Edition to clone Windows 10 to this 1TB SSD. Same excellent performance, just more room now. Also used the Corsair Dual SSD Mounting Bracket (CSSD-BRKT2) to mount both Samsung SSDs into my case's Hard drive bay.

The product is doing exactly what I need it to. It didn't come with any screws though

Upgraded from HHD to this SSD and it’s worth every penny. The speed is so fast from boot up to running softwares and web browsing. I’ve had it for 6months now and no problem at all. I downloaded the migration software, shutdown the PC, disconnected the data drive connectors and attached this new drive, rebooted, ran the program, and 40 minutes later the PC shutdown after copying the smaller drive. I replaced the old with the new SSD and it flawlessly rebooted .

Got this on sale to replace an old 256gb SSD. Pretty straight forward install plug & play, and reinstalled Windows.

I have purchased six of these so far. I plan to purchase more and eventually convert all of our desktop and notebook PCs to the Samsung Evo series solid state drives. The Magician software that works with this series of Samsung's drives is a game changer. The transfer of data and installation is quick and easy with no loss of data.

Used it to clone failing hard drive. Easy to install. Made my laptop much faster. Lot more storage space.

Very trusted. I mostly buy and recommend Samsung ssds drives. Been working with lots of drives and they are faster and never have issues with them. Price is reasonable for what u get. Sometimes when they get on saw I get as much as I can.

WOW!!!!!! Is all I can say. After the salesperson at Best Buy told me this drive would not speed up my old laptop and there was a major problem with my laptop and he assured me that replacing the drive with this one wouldn't solve my 15 minute start up issue. He said that I needed to get a brand new laptop and that was the only solution. Well I am glad I went back after he was gone and bought this drive. I used the Samsung data migration software and a usb to SATA cable that plugged right into the new drive. I had to get the cable from Amazon because Best Buy doesn't carry them so that you have to pay a Geek squad person to install it for you. Well it took about 2 hour's for my old laptop to create the image on the new drive and when it finished I shut it down and put the imaged new drive in. After hitting the power button it literally took 5 minutes to boot up and I was like dang that's already so much faster. Then after the updates installed I did a restart and it threw up the log in password box in less than 10 seconds. I was like no way this is insane. So I called my girlfriend over to show her how quickly my old laptop was. I did a full shutdown and then I hit power on. It booted up and I logged in then clicked on Adobe Photoshop the full commercial version and was open and ready to work in less then 20 seconds. I super dupper recommend this SSD hardrive. My laptop is old like over 4 year's old and with the addition of 16 gigs of ram that cost 70 bucks and this drive I spent 200 bucks total for a laptop that is just blazing fast. Do yourself a favor and ignore whatever line of bad info the salesperson tells you and get this drive. You won't be sorry.

Installed SSD in a 2 Disk NAS as Drive 1 of 2. No problems. Performance is very good - the other drive being a HDD for misc. and some backups. SSD seems solid and well-constructed compared to other SSD's I have used.

Nothing beats these Samsung SSDs. Very reliable, fast and easy to install.

Super fast, easy to install and working perfectly!

This is my second SSD from Samsung. Reliable and fast! The hard drive in my computers used to be the slowest cog in the wheel but no more with this drive. I've been in Information Technology for over 45 years and we trust Samsung.

Was able to upgrade my HP laptop without any problems.
