I bought this back in 2021, so you know I have had this for a long time. I still do. In fact I am using the very computer writing this review to you the reader using it as my one and only drive. Have I ever had any problems? Nope! Its a fantastic product with excellent speeds, and superb start up boot time and loading stuff. I am a gamer that loves to use this to store a lot of games and use it for the very thing. I have no regrets. I bought my first SSD 1TB from Samsung, this is my second. And I sure do plan on buying the 4TB hopefully in the future!

If you're upgrading an older laptop, or just replacing a spinning HDD in something fairly new, this is a solid value SATA SSD. Samsung SSD have always proven to be fast and reliable. Remember that fresh SSDs often don't appear as a drive in Windows until you do into disk management and format it! It's recognized, it just doesn't show up as a drive until you complete that step. At that point, if you're using it for new storage, it's ready to go. If you're replacing your boot drive, make sure to clone the old one first. After cloning, swap them out, reboot, and it's like nothing changed except the speed that everything loads in!

Very solid drive with fast speeds and overall easy easy to install. Always one of my go to SSDs to put into my builds.

Working great do far, and easy install. Compact size. I’m replacing a much larger but lower capacity Toshiba that failed.

I used this for my steam library and this takes full advantage of my 1GB/S speed making any game download in mere minutes i have over 100+ games granted I dont have every game I own installed it holds more than enough triple A games and indies to make it worth anyones while without having to decide oh what game should I delete for this game?

Works perfectly in my MSI Sword laptop its easy to install formatting the drive is easy too just have to go on youtube for like 5 minutes

Purchased this as an upgrade for a gaming system and it made a huge difference. I definitely needed the additional storage capacity and the upgrade in speed was a definite bonus. I would recommend.

My new W11 PC came equipped with a 512GB C drive and a 2TB hard drive for my data files. Since I don't use hard drives anymore, I purchased and installed this 2TB Samsung SSD because it's dramatically faster than a hard drive! It didn't take long to move 262GB of data from the C SSD to my new 2TB SSD and now I've got plenty of room on the C drive.

Easy install with the Samsung migration software and then used their magician software to optimize the 870 Evo 2T SSD, benchmarks tests look good and made my 11 year old Dell Optiplex 990 feel like a new machine, very happy with the easy breezy install, and much improved speed, don't wait as long as I did! This is a great way to breath new life into an old PC

It's arguably the best SSD you can buy. Sure, it's a little more expensive than other SATA SSD's of the same capacity, but there's a reason for that. It's fast, it's reliable, and you genuinely can't get a better data drive to supplement your boot drive. If you don't have the extra PCI lanes, or another NVMe slot, this is the only correct answer when shopping for storage.

Easy to install, 2tb for the price is great value, loads fast

I was needed more storage for my pc. I chose these because the 2 TB and needless to say this thing was extremely easy to install and it’s not even noticeable and the set up was super easy .

Switched my last two spinner HDDs for these updated SSDs and am 100% satisfied. they perform exactly as specs and i am 100% confident that they will last as the rest of my drives are also Samsung and as old as an 840evo still grinding away perfectly fine. These are being used as storage drives for extra steam library, Origin, Ubisoft or epic folders. Samsung is king.

Does everything it needed to. The software for transferring from my old HDD worked without a hitch.

Best decision I made for my optiplex 7010 upgrade. It made such a big difference in the performance of the machine. Boot time was reduced, and transferring files was extremely fast compared to the old drive. My favorite thing is no hard drive noise. I have it connected to my tv so noise was my primary reason for changing the drive.
