Very reliable and fast SSD. Using it as the boot drive for a PC that is used for heavy software. The PC starts up quickly and load time of programs is reduced significantly. Most decent SSDs will do the same thing but it is hard to beat the reliability that Samsung offers.

Samsung SSDs are the ONLY hardware and software optimized SSDs and have Great Performance and great Value, Easy to install and transfer data. STRONGLY RECOMMEND

The hard drive was great at storing data, supplying it back and fitting in the space on the old laptop I refurbished with it. It allowed me to save a laptop from the landfill.

I bought this back in 2021, so you know I have had this for a long time. I still do. In fact I am using the very computer writing this review to you the reader using it as my one and only drive. Have I ever had any problems? Nope! Its a fantastic product with excellent speeds, and superb start up boot time and loading stuff. I am a gamer that loves to use this to store a lot of games and use it for the very thing. I have no regrets. I bought my first SSD 1TB from Samsung, this is my second. And I sure do plan on buying the 4TB hopefully in the future!

If you're upgrading an older laptop, or just replacing a spinning HDD in something fairly new, this is a solid value SATA SSD. Samsung SSD have always proven to be fast and reliable. Remember that fresh SSDs often don't appear as a drive in Windows until you do into disk management and format it! It's recognized, it just doesn't show up as a drive until you complete that step. At that point, if you're using it for new storage, it's ready to go. If you're replacing your boot drive, make sure to clone the old one first. After cloning, swap them out, reboot, and it's like nothing changed except the speed that everything loads in!

I have had this for..... 1 year and like 4 months now. I've been using it since I got it and it works like a charm. I was able to set it up with zero issue or need for anything, which is always nice. It easily is just plug, format, partition, play. I love the extra storage and the price was fantastic for 2TB. I HIGHLY suggest this model.

I’ve been using this Samsung SSD for about two months now, and the performance boost is incredible. Boot times on my system dropped from nearly a minute to under 15 seconds, and loading large files and applications feels instant. Installation was simple—even for someone who’s not super tech-savvy—and Samsung’s data migration software made cloning my old drive seamless. It's also silent and doesn’t heat up much, even during intense use. I use it daily for work and gaming, and it hasn’t skipped a beat. This drive completely revived my aging laptop. Highly recommend for anyone needing a serious speed upgrade!

Working great do far, and easy install. Compact size. I’m replacing a much larger but lower capacity Toshiba that failed.

Nice drive at a great price! I bought this drive to place in a Andycine Lunchbox for use with my Atomos Ninja monitor, works perfect, highly recommended.

This is a gold standard drive for me. It's much better than other brands I've used.

I used this for my steam library and this takes full advantage of my 1GB/S speed making any game download in mere minutes i have over 100+ games granted I dont have every game I own installed it holds more than enough triple A games and indies to make it worth anyones while without having to decide oh what game should I delete for this game?

Works perfectly in my MSI Sword laptop its easy to install formatting the drive is easy too just have to go on youtube for like 5 minutes

This SSD is reliable and is working well in my servers. It's better to buy from Best Buy because sometimes Amazon packages come with different items that do not patch the packaging (probably replaced when previously returned).

My new W11 PC came equipped with a 512GB C drive and a 2TB hard drive for my data files. Since I don't use hard drives anymore, I purchased and installed this 2TB Samsung SSD because it's dramatically faster than a hard drive! It didn't take long to move 262GB of data from the C SSD to my new 2TB SSD and now I've got plenty of room on the C drive.

Purchased this as an upgrade for a gaming system and it made a huge difference. I definitely needed the additional storage capacity and the upgrade in speed was a definite bonus. I would recommend.

Easy install with the Samsung migration software and then used their magician software to optimize the 870 Evo 2T SSD, benchmarks tests look good and made my 11 year old Dell Optiplex 990 feel like a new machine, very happy with the easy breezy install, and much improved speed, don't wait as long as I did! This is a great way to breath new life into an old PC

Good SSD for its price and capacity. Also easy to install without need of additional software.

It might not be the fastest SSD but it sure is reliable and functional. Have grabbed several of these over the years as secondary drives for mass storage and/or streaming/recording dump drives to use for editing. Never had an issue with any of them so far.
