This SSD is great for storage and everyday computing - as well as gaming. I have a couple of these and specifically use it for my OS and basic programs only. The other drive is used forback up - including a fully functional OS. I highly reccommend - best to grab when it's on sale.

I had been looking for a 2 TB that had good reviews and for the price to be moderate. This was just right for me and found easily. When I installed it on my computer, I could see and feel the diferente. It has worked perfectly and completely recommended it.

I just used this to replace my sister's failing laptop HDD. Worked great, and is way, way faster than her old drive! I've had a number of these SSDs for years and they have been incredibly reliable. Would recommend!

Samsung solid state drives seem to just always work. I keep getting them because I have never had one crash on me. They are fast drives and I use them to update older drives instead of replacing the entire computer.

Bought this for a friend who had a HDD break down on him from a previous vendor. Ever since he put in this new SSD he's been gaming better than ever.

I had geek squad swap my full-sized case to a mid-size version. The tech did a systems test and one of my SSD units was failing. I have been using the Samsung versions for SSD for some time and have not been disappointed. Great job but keep in mind that any hard drive won't last forever. If I had continued my warranty on this, I would have had to pay over $150 for this. Other than that, no complaints.

I'm of two minds on the 870 Evo, but it's a pretty technical reason. Overall, the drive works quite well as the secondary drive in my Linux mini-PC. Perfect for VM images and large video/audio files. That's why I rated this five stars, as this purchase works perfectly for what it was intended to do. However, a small warning for those who might stick this into a server: Take the time to ensure there won't be firmware issues. I thought a few of these at the low price would be a nice way to fill the internal bays on a slightly older HP DL580 server in our datacenter. However, I ran into serious firmware issues that eventually we solved, but it took more time than I saved by buying them instead of a more standard enterprise SSD. Caveat Emptor.

Needed more space for all my games on my computer. Pretty quick hard drive for a good price. Plenty of room with the 2Tb. My computer didn't recognize it by itself but you can YouTube how to add a hard drive. Up and running in 2 minutes.

i love these Samsung hard drives. in my opinion their the most reliable, or one of the most reliable hard drives out there that u can use for any computer, laptop, or console out there, or even as an external hard drive as long as u have the right hard drive enclosure for this hard drive.

Still the standard and still reliable. Have used these for years with my Video editing rig and never had an issue. Price has come down to make it pointless to by platter drives anymore unless for very large amounts of storage.

I use these SAMSUNG EVO SSDs like crazy! I have cloned and replaced hundreds of spinning hard drives (either failing, or just slow). They are super speedy and affordable, and can extend a computer life for decades!!
