||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was excited to get this NVMe M.2 SSD installed into my PC. I got home and installed it into my motherboard and booted to BIOS and my BIOS would not pick up the SSD. I shut it down and ensured it was plugged in well and booted again but it didn't pick it up again. I shut down and put it into the second NVMe port and it also didn't pick up in BIOS. I checked my motherboard firmware and I was behind a couple levels so I updated the BIOS to the lasted level and checked BIOS again but still, it wouldn't pick up in the bios. I then decided to pull it out and pulled the SSD out of one of my laptops and put it into my motherboard and booted to BIOS and that NVMe drive detected correctly. I boxed this SSD back up and took it back the store. I had this drive in my possession an entire of maybe 2 hours. When I took it back to the store the customer service rep looked at it, walked off and chatted with this manager I guess then he came back and said we'll take it back this time but next time we won't take a drive back in this condition. I'm like what condition? He said there was "residue" on it. I'm like dude, I had this thing for maybe 2 hours, it came out the box like that. He was all like, no way. He talked to me like I was a criminal when I've bought so many products from best buy. Not a good experience. After the return I purchased Western Digital NVMe drive and that one worked just fine. I live in Houston and there's plenty of other electronics stores to shop from. Don't think I will be buying anything from Best Buy for awhile after the way their customer service rep spoke to me.

Thank you for purchasing the 970 EVO Plus NVMe SSD. I am sorry that you are experiencing issues using the Samsung Magician software. If your drive is not being detected after installing Magician, please update the driver to the latest firmware to prevent compatibility issues. If the SSD is connected to a RAID/SCSI storage device controller, it may cause a failure to detect the SSD properly. If this is the case, please install the MS default drivers.

Great addition to the gaming pc

I changed graphic settings, updated drivers, updated windows and updated the graphics card. Nothing worked. Decided to upgrade the memory card i store my games in and it worked. No more FPS drops. (I was using a hard drive - yeah i know… but i had tk make due with what i got at the time). Its defintely pricey - so get it when its on sale.
