Thank you for purchasing the 970 EVO Plus NVMe SSD. I am sorry that you are experiencing issues using the Samsung Magician software. If your drive is not being detected after installing Magician, please update the driver to the latest firmware to prevent compatibility issues. If the SSD is connected to a RAID/SCSI storage device controller, it may cause a failure to detect the SSD properly. If this is the case, please install the MS default drivers.

Samsung Magician software supports RAPID mode for 2x faster performance by utilizing unused PC memory (DRAM) as high-speed cache storage. There are a few restrictions for RAPID:
1. RAPID mode accelerates only one SSD even if the user has several Samsung SSDs
2. RAID (Redundant Array of Inexpensive Disks) Mode sets are not supported as an accelerated drive.
3. After disenabling RAPID mode, if the system is restored to a prior state in which RAPID mode was enabled, RAPID mode will be started in a disabled state.
4. NVIDIA Storage controller is not supported.
5. While enabling/disabling RAPID mode, do not disconnect the target SSD and or close the application.
6. If fast startup is enabled on Windows 8, 8.1 and 10 machines, enabling/disabling RAPID mode requires a system restart. Shutting down and then turning on the computer enables/disables RAPID mode. By default, fast startup is enabled.
7. The Flush command of an operating system and/or application may cause variation in performance when RAPID mode is enabled.
8. Sometimes on AMD PCs with AMD and ASMedia storage controllers, IOs take a longer time to complete. In such cases if RAPID mode was enabled, it may be automatically disabled due to such IO errors. The computer might show a message stating "RAPID mode is disabled". The user has to reboot the PC to re-enable RRAPID mode.
9. If multiple iterations of read and write are performed, RAPID mode may become inactive due to internal system errors on some of the AMD / ASMedia Controller or Driver.
10. RAPID mode can't be guaranteed on target SSDs with non-NTFS file systems.
11. If you delete some files from the RAPID folder, RAPID mode may not be enabled properly.
