I bought this for an older machine, but found that machine did not support this, but it made me realize it was time to upgrade that machine. Bought some new parts and installed this in my new machine and works great.

FAST NVMe SSD!! Easy to physically install. Replaced original slow hard drive - Dell Inspiron 5570 laptop. Would not boot into Windows 11 after cloning and removing original hard drive. Solution, booted into Safe Mode which installed/loaded the NVMe driver (Device Manager, Storage Controllers). Restarted laptop - booted into Windows normally. *UEFI/BIOS modifications were futile.

⭐⭐⭐⭐✩ (4-Star Review – Honest + Positive) I bought this Samsung 990 EVO Plus SSD to upgrade my HP Omen laptop. The build quality is excellent and Samsung SSDs have always been reliable for me. Unfortunately, in my specific laptop model the drive wasn’t being detected, even after reseating and testing in both M.2 slots. I also tried my old SSD and realized my laptop’s motherboard or M.2 connector was failing, so the issue wasn’t the Samsung drive itself. The SSD never had a chance to run, but I’m returning it because I can’t use it with my current device. Customer service at Best Buy was helpful, and I’d definitely buy Samsung NVMe drives again once my laptop is repaired. This review is only about compatibility with my system — not the product quality.

I used this 1TB drive as my main OS drive for a new build, and the system is snappy and responsive. Windows boots up almost instantly. It offers excellent performance for the price. I highly recommend this to anyone building a PC who wants speed without breaking the bank.

I bought this to use with a new build. It is used with another Samsung SSD as part of a RAID-0 Windows install, and it is working just fine. I bought this on sale, and it is a good value.

My choice for upgrade was between Crucial (Micron) and Samsung. These are by far, the best reviewed SSD memories. I discounted Western Digital primarily due to their rather poor post purchase support. Regardless, my final decision between Crucial and Samsung was for Samsung based upon their superior, free data transition software. I was able to upgrade 3 laptops, each a different brand, with no protocol issues whatsoever.

Great item. before the geek squad installed this hard drive, it was taking 3 full minutes from "ON" to "desktop." With this new drive it takes just 5 seconds. Unbelievable.
