Samsung has always made quality SSD products and the 990 EVO PLUS is no exception. I bought it for an external dock for my Mac mini to have extra local storage. Being connected via the thunderbolt connector, it's super fast for both reading and writing. Not really much more that I can ask for!

this ssd actually did increase the performance and speed of my gaming pc. HOWEVER i built my pc back in 2019 and at the time M.2 SSDs were for the OS and getting a large HDD was the gaming drive. now that its cheaper i finally upgraded my gaming drive to an M.2 SSD and holy cow, what a improvement! Still a solid SSD overall i am rocking a 970 Evo for my OS drive and a 990 Evo Plus for my games now, you cant go wrong with samsung ssds!

Needed a new ssd for my pc and due to the rising in prices for pc parts this was the better option for price to performance.

Put this 990 Evo in a budget HP laptop that originally had an HDD in it. Boot speed is so much faster! Turning laptop on before took about 5 minutes plus to get up and running, after installing this it is up and running in less than 30 seconds. Definitely worth the money

The speed of my desktop has increased. I had a good processor and ram but a SATA hard drive which made it slow. Now this ssd, it has become so much faster

I have set up my system with two of these to dual boot into linux and windows as i please. I must say snappy drive. Works well no complaints and no issues.

This is one of the fastest SSDs out there as of this this era, but you have to read the fine print on the box and Samsung's website to see what it takes to reach 7,250 MB/s on this NVMe. This is a PCIe 4.0 - 5.0 hybrid SSD, which means you need to have the motherboard AND CPU that support the above lanes. I may have purchased this too soon since I only have a PCIe 3.0 board - but no biggie I get 3,200 - 3,600 Mb/s, which is in line with PCIe 3.0 and more than fast enough for whatever the everyday person needs. Also, I use this interchangeably with PC and Mac, so I use an enclosure. It's also handicapped by doing this - especially when going all the way with a 20 Gb/s - 40 Gb/s with USB 3.1/3.2/TB4/TB5 enclosure. You'll get speeds of just under 1000 Mb/s to just above 3000 Mb/s read/write.

Most bang for the buck SSD (at least in the 1TB category), not to mention the brand with the best reputation for flash products. This is DRAM-less, but as long as your PC has enough RAM, the HMB tech it uses keeps it plenty fast.

Great drive. Not really much to it. Samsung drives are among the most reliable out there and they also had one in store for me to get after my is drive started having some signs of failure coming.

Needed to upgrade Thinkpad P15. The NVMe fit perfectly and using the Samsung software easily make this the primary OS drive. Very fast and responsive.

Samsung makes really impressive M.2 Drives. i have had multiple of them and this one is no different. very fast speeds which are great for a boot drive!
