I did a test and out of all the SSD's that claim a 2000mb/s read/write speed, this one gets the closest at 1800mb/s. Most of the external ones are half their claimed speed. Put this in an external case and you have the fastest SSD out there.

I had bought and installed the exact same SSD for my PS5, and when the time came I ordered another to bump up my PC storage. Unfortunately, I didn't bother to check first, and my motherboard required the version with the heat sink pre attached, which was the only reason I had to return this item, and at the time, my BestBuy store did not have the version I need in stock. I fully intend to revisit this purchase in a few months when stocks are back in.

Blazing fast and perfect for my computer backup

Would vastly recommend, just make sure to use an NVME enclosure that can manage the heat it generates.
