I bought this item on discount, and I've been really happy with my purchase. When you open the box, the SSD is housed securely but easy to get out. You just plug it into your M.2 port and go through the process of initializing it. You can find all kinds of tutorials online if the instruction booklet isn't to your liking. Overall, I think I got a good product for my money.

Good drive. Previous drive was a 980 pro. 990pro as my OS drive was an excellent idea

These are the best m.2 drives on the market. I never had one fail and their read/write performance is very fast. The inflated prices over the competitor are worth every penny. I highly recommend these drives Btw I paid $80 for 500gb.

I have purchased these 4 times all just to expand my storace, the read writte speeds are exceptionally good, reliable storage from a trusted brand. I highly suggest you download the app from the samsung website to update the card and keep it well maintained, it will show you speed, you can test and also the temperatures.

Caught the Samsung 990 pro nvme on sale and it was a great deal, even better that it was the Best Buy right down the street!

The NVME drive works perfectly fine was easy to install with the guide it came with and all.

Been a fan of Samsung SSD's for a while now due to their reliability and speed and this drive meets the mark. Cost to performance is great as well, solid upgrade coming from a raid 0 sata array.

As expected from Samsung, it works perfectly for gaming. I've been using this brand for a long time and I never had any issue with it. Fast selling and a good price for it. I'm happy with this purchase. My next purchase will be a 4TB because AAA games are going crazy with the storage space.

I tried WD SN850X and the Sk Hynix P41. Both are very fast but the 990 Pro is faster. Unfortunately I got BSOD with the latter fixed with a memory scan. The Samsung has been rock solid and came with the latest firmware. Runs fast and cool. The below pictures left to right are 990, 850x, and P41. They are all fast! All at standard not performance modes.

Fast writing speeds and loading times for all my games. Very easy to install as well. MW3 loaded in less than 20 seconds.

Great storage capacity and speed. Little complicated to install if you don't know what your doing otherwise perfect.

What is the alternative to Samsung SSD 990 Pro? None, None that matters! The best M2 that I've ever used to date, as of Aug 2023. Good all round M2, good for both gaming and media editing. I have DELL 8960 XPS, with an (Intel 13 gen I9K), with 64 Gb 4800 Hz Ram, RTX 4090 video Card and (2 M2 990 PRO) (1 each C:\ Drive and (1 D:\ Drive. Transfers 8Gb Media files at 3.2 Ghz per sconds.

I have absolutely no complaints. My only problem is I should have added it sooner to my MB. It works great and I can tell the difference between the SSD drive and the SATA drive on boot-up.

So glad to have an SSD on my pc, it runs so much faster.
