Installation was quick and easy. I was able to connect with my Alexa and Philips hue light bulbs (see photos) and it just worked great as I expected. Wifi also works well for my iPad I am using now.

I utilize the Samsung SmartThings ecosystem in my house, my office and two family members homes. The real benefit of this router over others is that it also works as a smart hub...allowing you to connect in zwave, zigbee, and wifi devices. It will work as an out-of-the-box solution for most of the devices on the market. It will sync with Google Assistant, and allow you voice commands over lights and basic devices. However, if you want extra bells and whistles, you will need to be fairly comfortable doing minor programming and working within Samsung's parameters. For instance, I recently added a Kwikset 916 smart lock. It was easy to sync up to be able to open and close the lock. In order to make it work with Google Assistant, I had to go to IFTTT (Google's If This Than That platform). In order to be able to assign keys through Smartthings, I had to go to the Samsung cloud (you cannot access your hub directly), and upload an app and three device handlers by forking off of Github. In essence, to add what should be a basic feature, I had to be comfortable with 4 different platforms. It's not complicated, but not for the faint of heart. Another issue with Samsung is their propensity to update. It sounds great, but in practice, it can throw your system(s) to their knees. In their recent move to a new app...exactly like the old app...I had to reprogram every system, and lost a lot of my customizations. I even lost features that used to be built in, like the ability to drive my Samsung Powerbot around with a virtual remote. Here today, gone tomorrow. Overall, though, if you're fairly tech savvy and want something that you can use in a custom deployment without being a coding wizard, this is one of the best on the market.

This router is definitely faster than my previous router (purchased in 2011) but I am returning it for several reasons. It took several attempts of doing the same thing over and over for the Samsung Connect app to find my new router. When it finally found it my speeds were twice as fast as they had been. After adding all my various WiFi enabled devices to the new network, it worked great for about a week. Then I woke up one morning and I noticed that my Chromecast was no longer on the new WiFi network. This had never happened before on my old router. I attempted to reconnect it to the network but it could not find the network even though my phone was still connected. I finally called Samsung and was a little disturbed at what customer support said. I gave him my email address and told him the issue with the TV and his reply was, "Ah, you're right. I'm not seeing your TV on your network." WHAT?? This blew me away. With only my email address, this guy has access to a list of devices that are connected on my home network. On top of all this, the technician did a "refresh" on my device and instantly my TV was able to connect to my network. Aside from that I still have issues with connecting devices and keeping them connected. I'm not knowledgeable enough to know how all that works but I do know that I have no interest in a router that works in this fashion. The router is being returned.

Not only is a WiFi Mesh access point, it can also be use as a Samsung SmartThings Hub and connect all your smart home gadgets. I had only buy one, and so far works perfect, I will see if after expanding my home I will need another one, but with one pretty much cover my 1,400 sqft home.

I wanted to dive into the world of mesh routers and the bonus with this model is it has a Smartthings hub built into it. I still have the unit but it basically is just for the hub, otherwise I would have returned it. Short story, no matter what I tried I could not configure the router portion to work. The Connect Home only allows you to set it up using an Android or iOS app, and I tried setting it up on 2 different Androids and 3 different iOS devices. The setup process would always get stuck at "unable to connect to the internet" when plugged directly into the modem. Ironically I could get the setup process to finish if I put the unit behind another router (double NAT. Yay.) So unless you like strange problems to solve...

Overall they work pretty good but are a little bit of a pain to set up but it sorta walls you through it. I purchased five (one main hub plus four slaves) of these to cover a 5000+ square foot house and it was still not quite enough. The range is not quite what I thought from hub to hub so therefore the overall square footage that it can cover was decreased. The quantity I bought is the max amount at this point that you can connect together. But as far as WiFi reception, it is far superior to several other systems I had used. Especially when it comes to going from room to room without signal being dropped.

I have Timewarner internet. It’s been slow. Since I got this one, it’s so much better for all use in my house. Specialty when we are watching movies. It so much better, faster and no interruption. Love it. I recommend to everyone

I love the Samsung connect. It not only boosts the range of my poor WiFi bubble, it makes it run faster.

Easy installation with great coverage. Needed only 3 to cover the whole house of 4500 sq feet

Since I got this WiFi hub I am now able to connect and manage all my smart gadgets right on my phone. The signal is better and faster.

I got this at a good price. This is very good extender. I have 3, but you can use 2 if your place is not that big.

Good device to have to connect all of your Samsung devices together but it is not really needed either.

We originally purchased this item because we went to Best Buy to get a repeator/range extender. We were told by an associate that this would work for that purpose. I'm writing this review to let people k ow this product does NOT do that, and that isn't what it is in case anyone else makes the same mistake. We did not actually use the product so cannot speak to its performance.

I purchased a smart lock a couple weeks ago to go along with my Amazon Echo. After I had installed the lock, I realized that I needed a separate hub to act as an intermediate step for my smart home stuff. Long story short, I went into Best Buy and talked to the Samsung rep there, Erin. After talking to her about it, I realized this is a perfect product. I have a separate wifi network to run my smart home equipment on, plus it acts as a hub. The set up of the unit was EXTREMELY easy. LIterally, plug and play. I got home with the router/hub at 9pm, and i had my lock connected at 9:05 and the hub synced to my Echo by 9:06.

This really amazing. I was a bit unsure when i purchased it but not that i think about it I should have purchased the 3 pack.

So easy to set up. Totally worth purchasing rather than renting equipment from an internet provider!

They WiFi is for the hub in fridge and it works amazingly and it dose it’s job
