Physically solid and feels nice but very weak performance, incredibly bad fingerprint reader.

LOVING THIS PHONE!!! Oh, my, the POWER. Screen is HUGE. This snapdragon processor ROCKS!!! Thanks Samsung. I've always heard that SAMSUNG was the BEST. Now I know why. The Best Buy sales staff also got my contacts transferred over with NO PROBLEMS.

Upgraded to the A42 from my J7. There are pluses and minuses to this phone. Some functions are confusing to use and are a little frustrating. Like the camera and picture quality.

Not top of the line, but gets the job done and it is fairly cheap when compared to other phones nowadays. Solid all around.

Love my new phone. It's pretty, a good size, and works great. So far, the only issue I have with it is that it doesn't work well when using synced with my car for hands free operation.

Upgrade to a previous Samsung - FAST - good ability to pick up signals - taking a bit of time to get used to the different ring tones and sounds, but all in all pleased and would recommend

The A42 is a good, functional phone. It has plenty of memory for my needs, which admittedly are not extravagent. It does the job and is a good value for the money. It's not too fancy or full of unnecessary bloatware.

Great phone. I needed a phone to pair up with my Samsung Active 3 smartwatch. This worked perfectly. Setup was amazing easy. The staff at BB was awesome!

Large screen for my hand. Android runs smoothly. The camera is average in my opinion. Too much washed out images sometimes. But i dont use the camera much so its okay for me.

Good basic phone. Great price. Not as fancy as some of the newer models but worked fine for my daughter who mostly uses it for tik tok.

Overall the phone is Good but l loss signal sometimes even though it have only 4 bars signal. With 5G. The camera doesn't go to far, it does look bad.

Our Samsung S5 cellphones were going obsolete. The Samsung Galaxy A42 is a good phone. We considered the price to be reasonable, and the Best Buy employee was very helpful setting up the phones.

I've been using Mobil Phones since 1987. This Samsung Galaxy A42 is by far the worst ever. It freezes, won't acknowledge when I use the Touch Screen on many Occasions. The camera turns on by itself all the time. The Screen Timeout doesn't function for the amount of time I set it for, timing out after 30 seconds constantly. The LATEST UPDATEFROM SAMSUNG ISN'T COMPATIBLE WITH ANDROID AUTO MAP PROJECTION.

Price is price and value is value but price and value to this is a miss. Why, the 5g is a false narritve unless your ina true 5g area it will say 5g but the speeds through your network will vary and mostly not be 5g. So 400 as ig grad phone to spend to get unlocked isnt worth it Since its just 4gs of ram And the the lower model is 64 while you get 128 here Its ok for a budget but what budget is right for you. Seems phone changes every yr and why switch. wait for the next one. The A series is not the S

This is a great Budget Phone for Verizon. It comes through at alow price but very reliable. Searching the web, talking and recording it gives you what you need. I highly recommend this phone to others.

I am quite happy with the phone. I previously had a Samsung phone, so this one is not too hard to learn how to use. The sound , picture, etc.. are all good.

Switched from a Galaxy six and it's bigger and way better a little big to use one handed but no big deal and I like how it's very sharp on the screen

So I bought it right and it was good for a while but the second I ran it over with my golf cart it stopped.

I Originally purchased an A42 for my wife, She loved it lots of features that my S10 does not have. Two months later my sons phone broke and went and got a second both have loved the phone.
