This was a great purchase. Although I am not that tech savvy. This tablet made it easy and simple to use for emails and other projects. Thank you Best Buy.

WARNING: Samsung decided to hide this information, but this tablet has a downgraded wifi chip. Modern devices (pretty much any smartphone or tablet actually) have 2 wifi antennas (2x2 MIMO). This tablet seems to have only 1 (1x1 MIMO) but it is not officially listed anywhere.
If you rely on steady wifi connection, you will notice the limitations on this tablet. Most testing is done in close range and view of the wifi router so you will most likely not hear about this flaw anywhere else. Since modern operating systems and ISP’s no longer allow for manual switching of 2.4ghz and 5ghz wifi, you will notice aggressive roaming and frequent reconnects to the wifi when you are not close to the router. The most obvious sign that this tablet has only 1 wifi antenna is the fact that being 1 wall away from a 5ghz wifi router signal will cause noticeable issues. Even when sticking to a 2.4ghz signal the speed is noticeably weaker than all my other devices on 2.4ghz.
Due to the wifi limitations, if you are using this tablet from a bedroom or space that is not in direct line of sight from the router, you cannot rely on a steady 5ghz signal or wifi speed. At this price point there is no reason to skimp on such an essential piece of hardware that all modern devices have. The weird thing is that

Wish I could tell you what I thought of it, but unfortunately, on my way to an international flight, TSA to get out of my bag at LAX, and I never saw it again. It was brand new.

A decent tablet! Its held up well for the time I've had it. The only thing i will say, is that the screen is darker than my last one, even with the brightness turned up

Bought this for my husband who has dementia. His speech therapist had loaded various apps for him to engage at home to help him in his communication skills.
