Pros 1. My price was right. I never wanted a tablet, but then I had some projects come up that indicated that it was a good idea. 2. Display. I like it. Bright with good clarity. I have it on a roller stand that puts it at the perfect height. 3. Video. I watch alot of YouTube and it handles the job well. 4. Setup. I own a Samsung Galaxy S5, so excluding an icon in a different place or two, it is the exact same setup as my S5, but bigger. 5. Easy of setup. As a society, we are spoiled. lol.. I logged into my Google account and it installed all the apps from my phone and I was done. Setting up my e-mail (hotmail) everything was a breeze. Soooo... I know you are like... With all of the above being good what could possibly be bad... Cons... 1. Not compatible. I specifically bought this product for my Sony A7RII to use as a display during photoshoots. You guessed it!!! Out of all the tablets to pick, I picked the one tablet that is specifically not compatible with Sony. 2. Not compatible for music projects possibly. There is an app that supposedly will allow you to share your screen onto the tablet. Well... There are a number of them on the market and you guessed it! The majority are not any good even from the large companies. 3. Dual monitor... I actually just ending up buying a Samsung monitor as my second monitor. I still may try to connect the tablet as a 3rd monitor. 4. Music projects/singing in the closet. I have not tested this feature yet, but I am comfortable that the table can handle that as it already has Microsoft Word installed. Soooo... My advice...If you are buying this for a specific art project, make sure you do your homework and even when you do your homework, do it again as it still might not be compatible unless you are sticking with Samsung. I chose to go ahead and keep the product because my wishful thinking is that my issues are only firmware update fixes away. Not only that, I do like the size and it has proven to be handy as I work on my projects especially the ability to watch a video tutorial on YouTube as I am trying to put together another product in another room. Nice as it is bigger than my cellphone and more portable than my desktop and laptop. Soooo... it has some uses.... Good luck on your decision....

My S2 Tab works great for my needs. Just something to use for general browsing, games, and emails while I'm traveling. Very fast and smooth. However, I noticed a significant decline in battery life after about a month or so. I don't have a lot of apps running in the background. I would have a fully charged battery and not use it for a few days, then come back and find the battery dead. Did some searching online and this seems to be an issue for some folks. Still trying to see if anything can be done.

Frankly I'm a bit surprised by all the positive feedback on the S2 9.7 inch tablet. While it is fast, thin and light - I will give it that - the screen actually hurts my eyes after very little use due to the "waviness" of its motion that apparently no one else is sensitive to. At first I thought it was just the one I bought, but I looked at the same model in several stores and they all suffer from uneven movement while quickly scrolling vertically, which really diminishes my experience from an otherwise crystal clear display. I also have a major gripe against Google/Android. Why they seem to find it necessary to remove useful features and options that would give the end user more flexibility and control over their own devices is beyond me. Similarly, it makes no sense why Samsung's own keyboard would change so drastically from device to device. If I've been using a Samsung Galaxy S series phone for years, then I'm used to certain symbols being paired with certain letters of the keyboard. So why move them around or remove certain ones altogether on the Galaxy S series tablet?? So I have to tap more buttons to access them and slow down productivity? Why take away buttons from the phone's email app, for instance, when there's even more real estate for them on the tablet's screen? Dumb. It honestly makes me angry that some executive at the top approved these obviously senseless decisions somewhere along the way, and IMHO ruined what could have been a truly awesome tablet. Sadly, because no one else makes a "better" tablet (though Asus comes close), and because I hate CrApple even more, I'm pretty much stuck with this if I want a tablet, which I do. Despite all its flaws, it runs ok for the most part, and is built pretty well. Since the 8" version at least doesn't have a wavy screen when held vertically, I'm settling for that and taking this one back. I'm still giving it 3 stars for overall quality and speed, clarity, and average everything else.

I bought this tablet to replace the one I currently have as the screen broke. I asked if I was able to put my SIM card into the tablet to use my data plan. The sales person told me that I could for sure do that as they have people do that all the time. Well, that was not true. I bought my previous tablet at TMobile. I got a better deal this time at Best Buy so I thought "why not." I will think about that next time as this has been a pain and ha prevented me from meeting deadlines as I need this tablet for work. There is not a slot for a SIM card so I can only use WIFI. Does not help me when I am with customers where I do not have access to WIFI but need my cloud based system. If I was told this upfront I would not have purchased it as it is not what I need. Now I am stuck with a brand new tablet that I cannot use and one that is broken. Overall I had the other tablet for a little over a year and then the screen broke. It was a great tablet if the screen did not go out. I am an android buyer so in the android world this is my best option for what I need to use it for. I would recommend this to a friend, but I would not recommend purchasing it from Best Buy due to the poor customer knowledge about their products.

Looking to replace the LG G pad 8.3 that I bought from BB in Jan 2014. Still an awesome and fast Tablet but LG only released a 4.4.2 android update (can sideload Android 7.x), but the LiON battery on the four year tablet is at the EOL, may just spend $40 for a replacement. I digress, I was blown away when I upgraded my S5 to the S8+, I was hoping that the S2 would be a good replacement for the LG-V500 tablet, but really can't get used to the 4:3 layout prefer the one handed use of the 16:9 LG. Battery Life left a lot to be desired, as well I was expecting that it would be a lot faster with surfing and loading pages as it was a flagship tablet last uear.

Purchased the product on 12/12/17. Had to return it to Samsung on 1/22/18 because the tablet shut down and would not turn back on. After 15 minutes of rather frustrating interaction with the Samsung tech on the phone, Samsung agreed to replace the device siting an issue with the battery pack. I thoroughly enjoyed the tablet right up to the point that it stopped working. Consider buying the insurance. Wish I had.

Seems to be a good tablet. The picture quality is clear, bright great to view . I have not tried many of the features however some simple things are problematic. The volume is low and when I try increasing it using my Bluetooth speakers , it's inconsistent. Another problem is there isn't an adapter to connect to the TV. I'm sure there a lots of fancy features but simple ones need to be great as well.

Only been using for a week. My first Tab S stopped charging after several years. I liked my first tab better, it had a bigger screen and better picture. I liked where the camera and charge connection were on my old tab compared to this one. I guess I need to just need to get used to it. This one is fine so far and I got it on sale so I can't really complain.

Nice tablet but only had it a couple of months and the microphone stopped working so had to take it in to Best Buy and the Samsung girl actually broke it so had to send it back and do without my tablet for almost a week. I think she fried it because they sent me a brand new one with all my stuff deleted so not real happy with them or best buy right now.

this is nice, slick tablet. Not bad for the money. Of course it didn't come with a built in keyboard and the one I bought I had to bring in because the tablet wouldn't recognize the bluetooth keyboard. Also purchased optional tempered glass cover which was broken when I opened it.

I bought the Samsung tablet instead of the iPad because it was recommended by my employer for a particular application. I have had issues with printing on this tablet which is disconcerting. Overall I think it is ok, but next time will buy an ipad.

I saw this in the store and fell in love with the screen. But that soon faded as I realized Android tablets are pretty useless and the screen, while very lovely in dark room, is extremely glary.

Texture of the back makes it hard to hold without a case. It looks up periodically for no reason. Screen resolution is nice and clear. Speed is quick enough, until it locks up.

This tablet is OK. I like the display and I use it to do a few things from my easy chair. Just about any tablet will do what I need, so this for just fine.
