    Great watch for non-fitness guy

I waited a while before writing my review as I wanted to see how it actually held up. I started with a Samsung phone 3 months ago (came from LG) and was intrigued by the Samsung watches. Rather than just jump in with a huge purchase, I picked up a used s2 and got a feel of what was so great about the smart watches. I decided to go ahead and get the Galaxy Watch. After all, my Note 9 deserves to be paired with the best. So, for the watch. I was concerned about the larger size of the 46mm against my smaller framed wrist. I am not a small guy by any means, but I am not one with larger wrists. The s2 and the 42mm are about the same size and it felt comfortable. However, when I got into the store and placed the 46mm on my hand, it did not look out of place at all. The reason I avoided the s3 was because of the bulk. The 46mm GW seems to better conceal the actual size of the watch. After wearing it for a few weeks, it feels perfectly normal. I did NOT get this for the fitness tracking, but I use the HR monitor and sleep monitor. The steps and flights, ehh whatever. Workout detection? That is turned off. I did vacation recently and I will be happy to report that the hotel pool was handled without issue for the GW. I rinsed it off afterward and played the music water eject function a few times. So, why did I get this watch? Notifications. I am able to just put my phone down and not worry about having it near me at work. I get my notifications and am able to ignore my phone more. The best is that I can leave it on silent. No ringtone and no vibrating across my desk. Something comes in, I look at my watch and then ignore it or reach for my phone. Good for driving as well since a quick glance will tell me if it is my wife calling or a telemarketer. Remember kids, always use a headset for hands free driving. Also, you are able to set which notifs relay to the watch, so you are not bothered by that alert from the newest game fad that your village was attacked (or whatever it is now). The band, so far, is fine. I will probably get a stainless steel clasp and a leather one in the near future so I can swap out based upon desire. The watch itself has remained blemish free. I, of couse, got the geek squad protection plan. Any damage to it and I can bring it in for service. After reading about some of the lemons out there on the Samsung forums, I am glad I paid the extra $ for it. Final verdict, I will be upgrading my wifes s2 to a GW from Best Buy soon, probably the 42mm in Rose Gold for her.

I was recent in the market for a smart watch for my new Samsung Android note 10 plus. I did research on several smart watches over a couple of weeks and decided on the Samsung Galaxy watch. I must admit that it was not the most expensive in the group but by far the must functional that meets all of my user needs. I have own this watch now for over a month now and completely happy with all the features, the best of which is the battery life!! Without a charge this watch will last for several days unlike the Apple watch. This was definitely money well spent for me and I highly recommend this watch for your Android device.

I upgraded from the Gear 3 only because my gear 3 was run over after the band broke. User error. I had the Best Buy warranty so I paid the difference to upgrade. What an improvement! Far better battery life, sturdier feel, and I hit the beach without hesitation! Due to my job, I can't always get to my phone but I take calls on my watch with no issue. I've even listened to my tunes while working & that helped get me through my workdays. I charge my electronics far too much but this thing goes 3 days at times before actually needing a recharge. I get compliments on the watch faces daily too. lol Buy with confidence!

    My Husband Loves This Watch

I brought this watch for my husband as he loves smart watches, but the one he had was not holding a charge. I surprised him with this one and after wearing it a couple of days, he called me from work to say he loves it. He especially loves you can use the outer ring to change the apps. I did not want to pay $15 a month to have this watch on a plan but it is also blue tooth which works great and no additional charge. I highly recommend this watch.

With the latest version of Tizen, Samsung's smart watches are getting very good. Activity tracking is as good as the Apple Watch 4 (I've used both), heart rate tracking is finally accurate, It's working well with Android for Work (InTune) as long as you know to go to Settings/Work Profile/Notifications on your Samsung phone. It's comfortable, looks fantastic, and has insanely good, 4 day battery life. It's sleep tracking is extremely accurate and much better than Apple's (they don't have sleep tracking). Overall excellent watch that's much better than any Android Wear alternatives.

Great smartwatch. Works perfectly with my Samsung Galaxy S9+. Easy to setup and pair with phone. Long lasting battery. With lots of applications and downloadable watch faces. I even responded to a text using voice while riding my motorcycle, by talking into the watch. And answering calls is easy, and good volume to conduct a phone call. Most of the time, I don't even pull my phone from my pocket for a call or text. And using the Samsung health apps, it even tells me when I've been sitting too long, and it records my steps for the day. I discover new features almost every day. I like it.

I have had this watch for a year and I love it!! I use it everyday and it is rock solid. I have abused it, swam with it and use it everyday for tracking workouts and my daily activities. Battery last around four days for me. The only issue is the heart rate monitor sometimes is not correct when working out. I have found if I take of the watch and then put it back on it seems to correct the issue. Highly recommend if you can still find one.

i cannot say just how much i love the new Galaxy 46MM watch it is just awesome, the battery life goes for almost 4 days before i have to charge and i can go pretty deep in the water and its working like a champ. The display is still pristine even though i know i have knocked it on things like doors and walls but most of all it compliments my S10+ really well once again Samsung delivers an incredible device like they do with their phones and TV's!!!!

I reviewed several smart watches before settling on this one. Whether it was Fitbit, Garmin, Pebble, ASUS, the Galaxy Frontier...they all had some of what I wanted but always a deal breaker. No wifi, bad battery life, poor construction etc. So far, 3.5 months, so good. I usually keep my wifi off when not at home and get about 3 days before I need to charge. the charger is great, the magnet keeps it tethered and charging. Display is great. I ordered a screen protector, bezel protector and a different band but ended up going back to stock band.

I had the Gear 2 watch but i would always forget it on the charger and the battery finally wouldnt charge any more. I really love these smart watches. However the main thing i use it for is playing with the watch faces and looking at who is calling while i am driving. so far the battery is fantastic on this watch. I have gotten 5 days on the first charge and i have spent a lot of time playing and learning the functions of this watch. I do not have the face always on though which will greatly help in saving battery.

I received the Galaxy Gear S as a gift from my wife a few years ago and fell in love with the design and ease of use of the watch. I was hesitant to upgrade because I enjoyed the functionality of it. Fast forward to the release of the Galaxy Watch, I was interested in seeing if the latest watch would live up to the hype. I must say that it certainly did. It has all of the features I loved about my Gear S, plus features I enjoy on my Galaxy Note 8. I should definitely recommend this to anyone interested in getting a smart watch.

Overall the watch is amazing. Like that there is touch screen two buttons and bezel to control watch. Look is good as well. The fitness apps are cool but When I work out I just don't want to fiddle with my watch so I just do the heart monitor, which is somewhat accurate. The only real issue with the watch is the horrible app support. Most apps are rated very low because they don't seem to work very well. I only use a few apps anyways and for Bluetooth calling and texting the watch is worth it to me. Also with thousands of watch faces to choose from it keeps the watch feeling fresh all the time. If you have smart devices in your home this watch can connect through your phone and control these as well. Good battery life too.

From a hardware standpoint, this watch is a marvel. Solid and beautiful construction with an amazing display. I can get two days of battery life even when it's set to always on. Before buying, I thought the rotating bezel was probably a gimmick, but after using it a while I love it! Perhaps because of that unique feature, Samsung uses a proprietary operating system called Tizen. The software works flawlessly, but there just aren't many apps compared to Google or Apple. That's the only drawback. Email, Facebook, health tracking and such are all there as well as internal GPS. Besides a speaker, it also has a mic, so you can answer calls on you watch with your phone in your pocket. Lots of great stuff, but check before you buy that you don't need an app that's just not there.

I purchased this Samsung Galaxy Watch on 9/11/2019. Even though it has only been 6 days since my purchase, I have absolutely fallen in love with this watch and its functionality. It does everything I could possibly want a smartwatch to do and then some. The battery life as many have mentioned is also absolutely fantastic. I charged it in full on 9/11 and on 9/16 it still had 25% battery life left. If you are in the market for a smartwatch I would highly recommend that you give this one a try.

Long time apple watch user, three different series. Galaxy watch is way better. better battery life, better display, better selection of watch faces and batter synchronization. Pet peeve I always had with the Apple watch is it not deleting texts/iMessages from the watch when they were deleted on the phone. And...I can go three days or more without charging. Liked it so much I ditched my iphone and bought a Galaxy Note20 Ultra.

I have been wanting a Smartwatch for a while, but absolutely dislike the boxy look of the Apple Watch. I tried a Garmin Fenix 6 for a few days and was not happy at all with quality of the display, the colors were dull, the lack of touch screen and the operating system. I decided to give the Samsung a try, even though I would not get all the available functions with me having an iPhone instead a Samsung phone. I do not regret my choice at all. I love the colors, the quality of the display, the rotating bezel, the touch screen, the ease of use, and it still does pretty much everything I was looking from a smartwatch. I get notifications, and it is easy to stop the notifications you do not care to get on the watch. I can make or answer calls from the watch, although i cannot answer text, but that is not a big deal for me. Starting a workout is very simple and even automatically detects when I started to workout, but forgot to set the watch, and i can control the music, including the volume. I can do more with the iPhone, and I am sure it would be even better with an Android and Samsung phones, but I am still very happy with my decision. Also, it was less than half the price of the Garmin and also cheaper than most Apple Watches. A 'Win, Win' if you ask me.

I bought the 46 mm for myself and the 42 mm rose gold version for my wife. My wife had never had a smart watch before and I was upgrading from the gear s2. We both love our watches. I love keeping my phone on silent and getting all of my notifications and not missing anything or having to keep my phone in view all of the time. I also enjoy the sleep tracking in conjunction with the Samsung health app on my galaxy phone. It also has a huge battery life.
