never miss a call or notification anymore
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I love this watch. It tells me when I forget me phone. I never miss a call with my watch on. I like bring able to respond to text message with the watch. I can silence my phone. I like the sleep app and the pedometer. I wish the app would sync with my fitness app and the heart rate monitor isn't very helpful. You have to hold still for it to read.

great fitness watch
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased this for the heart rate monitor and found out it does so much more. If you are into fitness this is the watch you need. The only reason I did not give it 5 stars was the battery life is only a couple of days

Easy to Use. Does Everything I Need and More.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a very user friendly fitness watch with lots of options. What I love is that it notifies me when I get a call, text and other notifications when in bluetooth range. Messages can be found under notifications. Have used the "Find Phone" app a few times. Sleep software is okay. Fitbit was better. Batttery life is short...needs to charge after 3 days. The band looks good and you can change the screen color but the watch fell off 3 times in one month. Thought of returning it but I really like the watch and instead bought a small rubber O ring to secure the band. Overall very satisfied with the product and the price was right.

A lot more than an activity tracker
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. After carefully comparing the available options, this is the one that gave me the most for my money, also the better looking one to wear on the daily basis, it has everything I was looking for plus more, from interchangeable bands to full color display this is a great item that only gets better when you see the price, the only draw back is that it is only compatible with Samsung devices.

Perfect for me
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I love being able to look at my wrist and see my heartrate in real time. I love being able to snooze or dismiss alarms from my watch. I love being able to quick reply to calls, etc. I can see text messages, emails, incoming calls, fb, G+ and other notifications. I love being able to put it in sleep mode to stop notifications while I sleep and see how soundly I slept. I bought a set of straps and secure bands from Amazon so I can change the look.

||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I like the fitness tracking and heart rate monitor. It notifies you of email texts and phone calls. I wish it had a speaker so you could listen to music or answer phone calls.

Great Gear Fit with heart rate monitor.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I love the way it keeps track of my steps throughout the day and it's very accurate, and I get my notifications from my phone while I'm away from my phone. Plus there a few other features that I find to be helpful, exercise tracking with calories burned, apps that can be downloaded, heart rate monitor and more.

Not what I expected
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I love Samsung products. I have a phone, tablet and TV from them and have always been satisfied with the products. So, it was natural for me when I decided to buy a fitness tracker to look at a Samsung product – the Gear Fit. However, I kept telling myself – I didn’t really need the Gear Fit, just a pedometer but after seeing a friend with one and catching it on sale, I bought one. What I liked about the Gear Fit was its display. I had looked at other popular fitness trackers and decided that, coupled with the brand and the bright display, that alone was reason to buy the Gear Fit. I also liked that it had the sleep tracking feature so I thought I’d found the perfect fit for me. Unfortunately, after having the Gear Fit now for about 2 months, I wish that I had done more research on trackers, their features and their reliability. I would definitely have gone with another product. For me, these are the problems with my Gear Fit: (1) it tracks steps, even when I’m sleeping! At first I thought maybe I’m moving while sleep and don’t realize it but after resetting the steps and lying in bed awake (and being still) it still showed that I walked about 40 steps. (2) Sometimes when I get up in the morning and walk a short distance to another room (an average of 15 steps), the Gear Fit will show that I’ve walked anywhere from 50-80 steps. Even after resetting the counter to zero, it may still inaccurately record my steps. (3) The pedometer will randomly pause itself. (4) Other functions will start randomly, i.e., the timer, exercise tracker, media controller and find my phone. (5) When using the sleep function, it will show that I am asleep and motionless even when I get out of the bed, walk to another room then come back and get back in the bed. (6) The heart rate monitor reading isn’t always accurate. (7) My biggest issue is BATTERY LIFE!! I have to charge my battery at least twice per day if I want to use it continually. I put it on the charger while I’m getting dressed in the morning and at night when I’m preparing for bed. Usually when I charge the battery is always at less than 50% although it’s usually only been about 8 hours since the past charge. Of minor importance is the ability to only track running, walking or cycling (other than using it as a pedometer). I do yoga and weight training but I can’t track these activities using my Gear Fit (although it would be nice if could). My suggestion is if you are in the market for a fitness tracker, do your homework! Check reviews and make sure you understand the features and limitations of the tracker and if it will meet your needs. As for me, I have a tracker with a nice display but, it is one that doesn’t really fit my needs and one that I question the reliability of its tracking as I’ve noticed, on a consistent basis, errors it makes in tracking.

Great for tracking basic fitness
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Not only does this help me keep track of my activity during the day, I love that I can get sync with my phone and receive quick updates of important communications coming through while away from the office, track my heart rate, and track my sleep... sync it all to my S Health app and share the results with my doctor. I only wish there was some way to automate the sleep tracking because I don't always remember to turn it on or off when I start to fall asleep at night.

Great until Lollipop Update
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This was a gift to my wife. It worked great on her note 3 until the Lollipop update got pushed out. Then missed calls, text, and email notifications stopped synchronizing. I will try to hard reset the device and also uninstall and reinstall the software and relink the devices. Other than that, can't complain. It does what we want it to do, without the crazy price that other similar devices are running.

Issues with heart rate
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this watch on Friday, and by Sunday, I am already having issues with the heart rate monitor. I am from the opinion that usually product tend to work better when you have everything of the same brand. It is just easier to sync. I have a cell phone- Samsung Note3 and it sync perfect with the watch. Make sure you download the right app because I did made the mistake that I downloaded the wrong one. The app you will find it on the Samsung Apps icon and not on Google Play; where I was originally looking for it. The set up process is easy from there, and the benefit of the app is that you can keep track from your phone the food intake, calories burn, steps, quality of your sleep and maybe your heart rate. I attached some pictures of the issue that I was having and the only time it read my heart rate was when I was slowing down after running. I cannot get the heart rate monitor to read my resting heart rate. This is the only issue I am having with this watch, other than that I think is light and the screen is amazing, not to mentioned that you can put as a background any picture of your love ones. If it was not for the heart rate, this watch will be the best for me.

Excellent
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I read the reviews after purchase but glad I bought it anyways. I had already did a lot of the setup prior to reading the reviews and found that all of the stuff it said it couldn't do I had already set up and was working great. All of the reviews were giving a medium to poor range. But, I am glad I had read them after purchasing because it would have prevented me from buying something that was actually a great product. So, to all of you if you are not tech savvy get some help with setting it up, you will find it will do more than what any of the reviews say it can do. I am extremely happy with this product and wished I had bought before ever buying a Fitbit. My only regret it doesn't connect with Loseit.com but as it gains popularity I am sure that will change. And I would definitely recommend to anyone who asked about it. Some of things that were pleasant surprises: it silences my phone at night to prevent getting unwanted calls when I am trying to sleep by selecting the sleep mode, tracks my sleep, shows text messages, shows missed calls, I can add additional apps or remove them if I decide they are not needed. There is so much this can do if you take the time to learn how to use it.

best fitness option
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I am happy with the gear fit. My biggest problem is not with the gear fit, it is with the phone, S4 active. Oddly, this device is "compatible" with my S4 active, but in reality the S4 does not transfer fitness data to the samsung web site That is a major problem. The gear fit works great. It transfer data to the phone. But the phone can't upload data to the samsung account so you don't see your graphical history. I have contacted samsung about this and it is pretty much sorry, live with it. That is the only regret. As for the device itself, I like it a lot. It is the only fitness / smart watch that is comfortable and fully functional. The fitness bands without a display are not functional enough but they are comfortable to wear. The fitness watches have such a huge and thick form factor, you can't wear them comfortably especially if you have a long sleeve shirt. This gear fit is light weight and the curved nature makes it hug your wrist and a normal shirt sleeve fits over it. Like all fitness devices there are some inaccuracies in heart rate measurement, calories burned and in distance etc. But that really misses the point. You don't need the fitness measurements to be perfectly accurate because the key is just relative consistency. I don't need to know exactly how far my bike ride was. But like to know my ride in the woods on dirt for 1 hour burned more calories and created higher average heart rates than my ride on a flat paved road that lasted 1.5 hours. The key to the fitness devices is comparing your overall activity level long term, compared to last week, compared to last month. So the accuracy is not a big deal. While I do like this, I wish it was more compatible with the S4 active. I did try it on an S5 and it works great, fully functional there.

Pretty good little gadget
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this because I wanted a step tracker that would sync with the tracker on my phone. I have a Galaxy Note 4. For my job I walk around a lot and it isn't always feasible to carry my phone around in my pocket nor do I always have a pocket where my phone will fit comfortably. I had a little difficulty getting it to sync, then I realized I had to confirm the sync on my Note AND on the Gear Fit. I like that I am able to set which notifications from my phone will come over the Fit. I only have calls and texts come through right now. I can even send a prewritten response from the Fit. I don't like that the distance where the Fit and my phone connect via bluetooth isn't very far. While walking around the house the bluetooth will drop. It connects again quickly once I return in range unless they have been apart for too long. Then I have to just reconnect via the app on my phone. If it's disconnected, no notifications come through. I've used the find my phone feature and the sleep tracker a few times. I guess they're ok. I was a little concerned that the band would open up, but it hasn't yet and feels pretty secure. There are still other features I haven't bothered with yet. I'll get to those in time I guess. I'm pleased with it so far.

Does as advertised
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a helpful item if you're keeping track of your physical activity such as steps walked, jogging and such. Until I'm able to get a smartwatch, this does pretty well as a timepiece if not a somewhat futuristic one. It works hand in hand with the Samsung app that's on your smartphone. One thing I do like is the media access. I can go through songs on my smartphone when it's linked to the car without having to dig my phone out to change music. My car is pre-infotainment era so I have to use a bluetooth adapter and a stable radio frequency to make it all work and the Gear Fit just makes things easier. Something to note: You can get your heart rate, but it's not as accurate as say taking your heart rate directly off your phone. You can set the Gear Fit to receive messages like texts or e-mails, but if you delete them on the Gear Fit, it won't affect the messages on your phone. My usage experience is what I expected from what I've read in the reviews and materials. I can get about 3 days out of it before it's time to recharge. It comes with a charger, but it's not a fast charger such as you would find on the newer smartphones that are on the market. Still the charging time I think is a couple of hours. I've found this helpful to monitor sleep, but I caution that it's only used to monitor your sleep activity and not the quality of your sleep. All in all, I like that I'm able to get some insight into my health and the Gear Fit does this pretty well.

Great Samsung fitness watch syncing with S5.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have really enjoyed the Samsung Gear Fit. The "sleep" mode is a manual function, but interesting to see your sleep pattern. The pedometer is fun to see how many steps in a day with rewards when goals achieved. I bought the Gear Fit because of the sync ability to the Samsung S5. I receive Notification on all my email accounts, texts, reminders, incoming phone calls, media control and watch with just a quick glance at the Gear Fit.. No matter where I'm at, just glance at the Fit Gear, no more retrieving my phone, all controlled from the watch. Reviewing emails and text messages is easy. The Gear Fit makes a great team with the Samsung S5. The Gear Fit is very comfortable to wear day or night.
