I was looking for a watch that I could wear while running and not need my phone. This is a great first watch for that. I can download music directly to it, pair it with my wireless headphones and go running. I no longer need to carry my phone on an armband. If you are just playing music (and not using the GPS), you can run for several hours...I made it 3 with no problem. If you use the GPS also, you will be lucky to get 2 hours out of it before it needs a recharge.

I was unsure if switching from the traditional watch to a Gear Fit2 would be a good idea. I am not good with electronics, however this watch is simple to use and verry functional. It keeps you up to date with all your emails, texts, fitness goals, & achievements, weather, tells you who is calling, it finds your phone when you miss place it, and so much more. Best of all it you don't need to be a computer wiz to figure it out. Over all love the product.

Pros: great design, great features, stylish, comfortable to wear, tons of features and sensors Cons: must be using samsung text app to be able to respond to tex messages, and the second issue is that counting floors is not as accurate as I would like it to be...also steps counted sometimes is lower than atcual. Overall extremely happy with the purchase and would recommend to anyone looking for an active band witha watch and ability to respond to messages

Love my Gear Fit2. Love how you are able to change the display face and adjust the setting to what works best for you. Color is better than I expected. Lots of compliments on it.

As far as design goes it is very simple yet elegant. The only problem I had was that I got an allergic reaction the the metal backing of the watch. Other than that great watch.

This device was so wonderful in the beginning that I bought one for my darling mother and my wonderful son. I've had so many other fitness trackers and this one seemed to be more accurate that the others at first. The heart rate side was almost spot on with my Polar heart rate monitor. I would take it to Zumba and it would pick up almost the same readings. But the calories would be totally different at the end of class. It would state that I burned less than half of the calories that were stated on the Polar. It didn't bother me that much, but now I'm dealing with inaccurate steps and floors climbed. I would need a immediate hip replacement after a day of climbing 198 floors on any given day. Plus I'm gaining steps while it's on my charger as I sleep. There are many things that I like about this device, like being able to change the skins on the display to match my outfit of the day, but over time you have to take this device information with a grain of salt.

I used this watch to keep track of my calories burned and to monitor my workout time. It's my everyday watch. I love that I am notified when I receive text and phone calls on it since my cell is always in my purse or in another room. And I can reply to messages when my phone is out of reach. I haven't had time to figure out all that is offered with this watch. Wish it came with better instructions on setting up everything.

product itself is great would diffidently purchase again. my problem was with the band the fasting comes loose. I have lost 2 times in less than a month thank God for honest people it was returned to me. my most favorite thing is sleep recording. i have tried a lot of apps and tried doing it my self but nothing works as great as this. it records level of sleep, if your restless, what time you fall asleep and wake up. i love it.

Love being able to change the watch face to coordinate with outfits or just for the fun of change. Keeps me on target for steps per day and the sleep monitor verified that my sleep has been better than I had thought. Heart rate is checked automatically.

Before purchasing the Gear fit 2, I did some research into the different options currently available for smart bandsI wanted a watch/band that would be able to track my exercise routines without having to have my phone on me at all times as well as have other benefits such as receiving notifications without having to reach for my phone. After having it for one week, here are my initial views of the Gear Fit 2: It fits very confortably on my wrist. Initially I was a bit afraid that the clasp would not be very efficient and the the watch would fall of but I have done a variety of activities without facing a problem. The band itself is soft and comfortable and I tend to wipe it down nightly to keep it clean. A damp cloth suffices. Battery life is really good. I will use my Gear with minimal notifications (text, calls, Spotify) and I am able to go about 3 days without recharging it. This will obviously vary if GPS and other notifications are enabled. The gear fit 2 has a convenient timer and stopwatch that I use frequently. I can also load up to 4 GB of music directly onto the band and go on a run without having the need to have my phone. It has GPS and will sync the information whenever it comes into close proximity with my phone. The only reason that I did not give the Gear Fit 2 an overall 5 stars is because I have noticed that there are times that my steps are not counted as if though it is taking some time to process the information. I have tried restarting the band and this will work but I hope that I don't continue to have to do this as it can become a hassle.

If you are looking for a watch that bridges the gap between a fitness tracker and full blown smartwatch, this is the one for you. It has the heart rate monitor and fitness tracking with water resistance, and the full color screen with notification and widgets from a smartwatch. The battery life is decent, and the step tracking is very accurate. sometimes the stair tracking doesn't get it quite right but that's a minor issue imo. Overall, for the price you really can't go wrong with this watch if you want some fitness tracking with smartwatch notifications.

I considered a FitBit to replace my aging Garmin watch, but wasn't sold on it. When I saw this watch, I knew it was the right replacement. This tracks all my workouts, running, cycling, weights, hiking, etc and uploads automatically SHealth so I don't need to connect to a computer. It's small enough to not look overwhelming on my small wrist and it has a sleek design. I charge it every evening just so it will not die in the middle of the day on me, but it is never below 50% so it has great battery life. I love getting all my text, email and social media notifications. Love it!

I love the Watch for fitness, alerts, calls. However this is my 3rd watch. The original band gets loose and i kept loosing them. YOU HAVE TO CHANGE THE BAND!!!!!!

This has been one of the best purchases I've made this year. I absolutely love this watch/tracker/companion. I'm just upset I waited so long to finally get It! I can't go a day without it, it's that useful. I highly recommend this to everyone.

I've had 2 Fitbits and the Samsung GearFit 2 is better than both of them without losing any features. You get the date and time on the display which is not available on the Surge, no wristband splitting, and it conveniently links to my Samsung phone. You can download tons of watch faces(free/pay). The battery seems to drain faster with certain faces, but charging is super easy on the watch charging dock.

Love my gear 2, especially after the uodate with continous heart rate. Plus I like to see the quality of my sleep. Alarm is another great thing since it just vibrates on my hand an does not bother the wife and baby like my previous alarm.

I love this watch! Does everything I want it to, except I wish it had constant heart rate. However, its so convenient to receive notifications from phone.

I really liked the original Gear Fit, and I was wary of this one because some of the features weren't included in this version, but it really is great. It is much easier to charge than the first version, and it is really easy to use.

I absolutely LOVE my Samsung Fit 2! I had the Samsung Gear S smartwatch and I prefer this more on so many levels. It could be considered a step down because it may not be considered a full "smartwatch" but they have added so many cool features and added to others to make it exactly what I want and needed! After the novelty of my old Gear S smartwatch wore off, I really wanted something for fitness as I loved how it counted all my steps. I LOVE how it keeps track of SO MANY little details of active and inactive time throughout the day and then shows you weeks and weeks of that information at a touch and a swipe. Yes, I could answer and talk through my old one, but I hardly used that feature. You can answer calls and also see who is calling on this but you just have to talk through your phone. A few times I was upstairs and couldn't get to my phone in time, so I answered it on the way down the stairs. By the time I got to my phone, it was only a few seconds. Also, the quick response for texts is great! You can edit and add as many as you need for this and even though I could text on my old one (you can only do voice to text on new Gear smartwatches), it's all I really need. When I'm on the treadmill or on a walk or run, I don't want to get my phone out and do a full text. Simple responses is all I need. I also love how this has GPS built in, my old watch did not. You can track all your walks, runs, or bike rides! So GREAT! I LOVE how sleek this is and smaller than my old smartwatch, too! I'd like to point out, after doing a lot of research, which I always do before I purchase, I was very concerned because some others said the clasp came undone and it fell off their wrists. I could see it looked cheaper than my old one, my other one felt more substantial for a watch, BUT I must say, after having this for over two months now, it has NEVER come undone and fallen off! I actually think the band design is better now because I use it for fitness and the rubber texture is better for sweat. The added feature of holding up to 4GB of music is great, same as my older watch. So, in conclusion, this fitness tracker is so much MORE. It does MANY features as my old smartwatch, for half the cost! It is exactly what I needed, it does exactly what it is supposed to do, and I love, love, LOVE it!

I really do love this tracker. I went on a hike with some friends and left my phone in the car and it has a built in GPS so it tracked everything. Is it for hardcore fitness work out people probably not. But it's great for me I go on walks every night and it helps me track my progress as well as remind me to get up while I'm working and take a walk. I wish the battery lasted longer though.
