It needs to be recalibrated when playing games literally for every 30seconds. Also you cannot use 2 controllors with a single decice at the same time.

Excellent with ocular apps and handle well when pointing

This controller is great for navigation and burning through videos. It feels great in your hand and the buttons and touch pad work great. It doesn't work with all the games, so if you're going to buy games, you better makes sure it's compatible first. Takes (2) - AAA batteries and is made specifically for Samsung compatible phones and the gear vr headset. All in all, it's a pretty neat little motion controller, I'll give it 4 stars. Seems like it would be a better fit at $19.99 though. But if you can afford it for what it is...go for it, I did.

Anyone with a Gear VR needs this controller. The price is excellent, and it works great. The reason that it is not 5 stars is because the connection process is sometimes an issue. I have to attempt to connect every time and it does not allow this process to occur while you are using the VR, it must be done prior. Additionally, it usually takes 2 or 3 attempts to get it to connect. But once connected it works great and makes using the Gear VR so much easier.

Worked as advertised. The controller holds well in my hand and it's angled design suits the many games for VR. There is minor desync while playing certain games, but this is easily fixed by a simple press of a button. Comes with wrist strap, and a loop to attach to the headset for convieniance in storage. Even comes with batteries. Easily the best VR controller I've ever used.

The controller works better than I was expecting. For a motion device that works with my phone, it is pretty amazing. Not all is perfect, however. There are some games that use fast movements that can cause the controller to need to be re-calibrated. It is very easy to do this, but does happen on occasion.

Pretty good controller ( about time they made a motion controller for it), though you do occassionally have to recenter it (like with the Google view one). I like the shape and feel of it, and the weight with batteries in. Seems to have good battery life too. Too bad it doesn't have a rumble feature though.

I was expecting a hand control identical to the side control on the Gear VR headset. This is that and more. With the Gear VR and controller on, you see a laser pointer-like beam that moves with your hand. Pointer with your hand not quite right? Not a problem! Press and hold the return button on the Gear VR Controller and it recalibrates it's position. I bought a console type controller for my Gear VR, and thought this would be a nice option when the battery ran low on the Matrix controller. Instead this will be my primary choice! Iit's powered by two AAA batteries, so when power runs low, just replace them (I'll be using rechargeable batteries, but not having to plug a cord into this is very handy considering the size). The Gear VR Controller is a must have for any Gear VR user!

I have the 2015 version of the Gear VR and have gone through about 3 different android controllers that claim to work with Gear VR. I was disappointed with each and every one of them. When Samsung announced that they were building a native controller I couldn't wait to be first in line. Upon receipt I jumped back into my Gear VR, which I must say was collecting a bit of dust, and am totally blown away by now having a controller that works the way it's supposed to (No more touching the side of the headset). The setup and use of the controller is intuitive and well thought out. This add on device has further cemented my love for my Samsung products and has reignited the flame between myself and my Gear VR....Thanks Samsung.

I had bought my wife the VR headset for Christmas 2016 and she loved it. When I saw they remotes had been released I jumped on the chance to get her the accessory. It makes using the VR headset so much more fluid and easy. It's a huge difference and makes the experience so much more pleasurable.

Easy to connect to the phone, and makes navigating through apps a snap. Recalibration is quite simple if your marker goes askew. Great investment if you spend any considerable time enjoying VR.

I originally bought this more my gf for her gear vr (2016 version). She use to use a gamp pad but this work so much better. It acts as essentially a pointer in vr ‌space. Unfortunately it doesn't have positional tracking, so you have an object that floats next to you that can mimic any rotational tracking. Have only had a few hickups with it picking up gestures. Other than that works great! (We reccomend AltSpace for social interactions)

Works great and much easier to use than the headset itself. We use for browsing and basic games...no heavy gaming..so perfect for us.

The GearVR Controller is easy to connect to the GearVR, and it opens up gaming to GearVR users exponentially increasing the fun factor. There are times that you have to re-calibrate to make sure the controller lines up correctly with the various games, but the latest update makes it easy to do without interrupting the experience.

This controller makes my Gear 3D device more fun. It does exactly what it says. Easy to set up and fun to use.

Great little gadget. Definitely a must have if you're trying to get the most use out of your VR headset.

This is only for Samsung phones and it is beautifully simple. I'm no gamer, just a look around guy who likes to be immersed in nice visuals, this device works great for me. The angle of the thumb pad makes it more comfortable for your tendons during long sessions.

Helps with a lot of the newer games. Very easy to use. Connect wasn't hard either
