When this machine runs, it runs fast. However, there have been major software glitches. The Samsung proprietary software seems to be a problem. The software update manager restarts every 5 minutes, making whatever you are working on pause. The latest happened after Microsoft updated windows 7. Now the machine won't boot at all. I am waiting a reboot disc from Samsung. That will take a week. There is no way to download it!

The machine failed to find a connection even though there were several available. I took it in to the local Best Buy store and they determined that it had a bad network adapter. Also they failed to mention online that ALL refurbished computers have had the entire E drive removed. Might be a good idea to check these machines out thoroughly prior to selling them to someone. The store was great though! They apologized and took the return no problem.

I received it with half the stated storage space. Got stuck on first use and gave me a blue screen error.

By purchasing a referb unit I was able to get more computer for my money. It is fast and works well, it shkuld serve my son well in college.

I purchased the laptop online, opened it up, turned it on... BLACK SCREEN WITH AN ERROR! I had to send it back to get service and if I took it to Geek Squad in a local store I'd have had to pay for any repairs out of pocket! Worst product support and customer service I've ever received for an electronics purchase!

Don't buy this laptop as it has problem connecting to wifi networks.

I wanted a handbook because I was not familiar with Windows 7.

I had this computer for 6 months when suddenly, it stopped working. It would not access Word or any other MS applications. It also stopped accessing my wireless Internet. In my household, we have two other laptops, Netflix, and 2 iPhones. All of these devices were able to connect to the wi-fi except this Samsung computer. Also, it would not connect to my printer. I just kept getting an error that said "Incompatible." That stinks because I'm stuck with a laptop I can't even print from. I took it to Besty Buy and the Geek Squad told me the hard drive was defective, so the laptop would have to be sent back to the manufacturer. Samsung kept the laptop for 8 days. When I got it back, my MS applications worked, but the Internet was still very sporadic - sometimes taking over 5 mintues to load a page! And it still won't connect to my printer. My son got a no-name laptop for $300 bucks and it does everything this Samsung doesn't. I'm fed up with this piece of junk. I tried to get my money back, but Best Buy said it's been 6 months and they can't refund it. All I can do is bring it back for servicing - again! I spent $999 on this. You know I am not happy. I could have spent a few hundred more and got a MAC instead.

I purchased this computer in November 2012, when my Dell Studio 17 started to break apart. I needed a new laptop that would work for me for the following reasons: business (I have to use Office Suite a lot), for school (I am a full time college student), and gaming. I have loved this laptop since I purchased it. I needed a lot of memory and a lot of storage space and this laptop game me both! When I first did the set up the only issue I had was Samsung Kies had not been properly installed. I corrected that issue and have not had any other since. The battery life is pretty good,I was able to use it to work on a report for school while traveling and it lasted about six hours before needing a charge. I am sure the time would have been a lot less had I been using a program that was more taxing on the battery. I think the speakers are as best as can be expected from a laptop, and I have not had an issue with low sounds. I have not had any connection issues and have traveled quite a bit with my laptop and have had zero problems connecting to Wi-Fi in hotels, airports, eateries, etc. My husband is even considering purchasing one of these now that the price is even lower. He uses a MacBook Pro for his music stuff but he needs a pc for his work things that are not compatible with Mac products. My only complaint is that the touch pad is horrible. It is very glitch but this is a problem I have had with other laptops no matter the brand. I just use an external mouse and I am good to go!
