    The laptop itself is very nice, although it runs very slow. Upon receiving I noticed the hard drive was split somehow. I took it into the local geek squad and they said it is a known issue and they have seen it occur in several of these refurbished laptops of this model. I had to check it in and leave it for a few days. Someone is screwing something up when this gets refurbished so keep that in mind if you purchase this.

    Well, I'm disappointed and returned this today. The refurbish model I received LOOKED well enough, but it was a mess once I turned it on. NVIDIA drivers were installed instead of the AMD drivers needed for the on-board AMD 8800M card, the screen (even though 1920x1080) left allot to be desired and was WAY too dim. After finally finding the adaptive display option in the advanced power section of the control panel, the full brightness returned. But the images worn't worthy of the resolution. This is NOT an IPS display after all. The Hard disk, even though huge, is slow as molasses. Boot times were north of a minute and general operations felt like they were waiting in line for the previous command to finnish. The final straw was when I tried to remove the nvidia drivers (which were producing an error that the card didn't exist) and attempted to install the correct AMD driver. Same error. A quick trip to the samsung forums confirmed that I needed samsungs specific hybrid driver. ...which of course wasn't available. See ya...

    Refurbished equipment is likely to be a problem

    Geek Squad sent me the wrong power brick with the refurbished computer. They cannot replace a power brick and Best Buy trusts them with computer maintenance? There's a reason I do not subscribe to this service but I would expect better than this. So... wrong power brick. I call Geek Squad to remedy the problem. After holding for 11 minutes the customer service agent agrees that the lower current power brick is the likely problem and states that she'll transfer me to the parts department. A beep and a click later I'm greeted with something along the lines of "the parts department is now closed. Please call back tomorrow during business hours." Why was I transferred? Then I was hung up on. So I call back to find out why I was hung up on and the next agent confirmed that the parts department was closed. They then informed me that I will have to call back tomorrow. So, the computer seems nice so far. Unfortunately I only have a few hours to play with it until Best Buy will be willing to help me with my problem.

    got the computer had wrong power cord . went to newinton best buy they took care of me with the cord Then found out the battery was no good So back to best buy they couldnt sent it back because it was refurbished had to call best buy they sent a mailing sticker so away it went I wasn't happy at all because it was GEEK SQUAD CERTIFIED and it had the wrong power cord to start with .that y i bought it because of geek squad certified

    I could NOT turn on the computer because it was dead the Geek squad said the Hard Drive was broken. How did the Geek Squad certify my computer if it was broken? Could even turn on? The website says 1 year warranty, but when I opened the box the warranty certificate says 90 days. I really do not know what is the warranty period. Returned to Best Buy store.

    Almost everything ok, except that the speakers were not working. Took to Geek Squad to see what could be done, and they told me that it probably could not be fixed. Then I had to return it and get my money back. I will never buy a refurbished product again.
