Very good deal on this really cool accessory for my phone! It is super convenient to be able to check text messages, see incoming phone calls, and track fitness info right on my watch! It is handy, customizable, and convenient!

I love this Samsung Gear Fit. It does everything I need it to do. The screen is beautiful, and most of all, it gets me more active!! My boss bought the same one & we have challenges with each other... I have YET to win... but I'm DETERMINED!

I chose this watch over the Fitbit Chris HR because for the price, this does so much more. It paired effortlessly with my Galaxy 5. Easy to set up and learn. I have little issue with the heart rate monitor. I find I get best results during running when I turn the watch to the inside of my arm. I find it pretty accurate as well. Pedometer is good compared to my previous Fitbit. They vary greatly in calories burned. Fitbit will report I burned a lot, and the Gear fit will report I burned less than 100 for the day. I don't really care for the difference as I don't watch how many I burned. I am more involved in time, speed, and distance.
Battery life can be pretty short, but my Gear fit is often connectin and disconnecting as I walk around work. My phone is in my locker and I am moving in and out of range all day.
In all, I love my Gear fit and am super pleased with the performance.

I have always looked at getting one of these, but did not want to pay the price. Refurbished and deal of the day, meant this was a steal! So far I love it. Can see my messages and incoming calls on phone. It tracks steps, not sure how accurate, but seems pretty good to me. You can put in a step goal, and it will notify when you get there. Face of watch is rotatable and customizable which makes it match pretty much anything. The watch itself is very light and comfortable, with the rubbery band. It can track your runs as well. Battery life usually last me two days of constant use.

I bought a refurbished model at low price. I would not pay full price. I see it more as a novelty item. It counts steps and does pick up texts, which is handy. The sleep feature is not accurate. The battery lasts 2 1/12 days of 12 hour day use. There are a lot of features. There are other non-samsung apps to control it, but i found they didnt work well.

Love the way this works. Lets me know of alerts on my phone and keeps track of my steps and sleep patterns. Works great with S Health. I just wish that you could edit the Sleep because sometimes I either forget to start the sleep or end it and it would be nice to correct. It's a little bulky in size. It would have been nicer if it was a little slimmer. I also feel that it is accurate in recording steps. Somethings you have to wait a few minutes before the steps sync up.

Overall this is a very nice tracker especially for the price we paid. I can't remember exactly how much it was but it was less than the other trackers that we were looking at and offers way more featured and functionality. At the time the other trackers that we were looking at were the Fitbit Charge HR and Jawbone UP24. Overall it works very well with my Wife's Galaxy Note 3 but the problem is that if she decides that she wants to get a new phone she has to stick with Samsung or buy a new tracker.

Love the fitness watch. Keeps up with my activities exceptionally well. Love the way it provides me with notices for phone calls and messages from my smart phone. Great refurbished product and will give me confidence to buy additional refurbished products from Best Buy. The only thing I don't like is the wrist band. I've lost one before and this is my second product. I'd rather it buckle on than snap on.

Bought the Gear Fit for my stepdaughter as a refurb and was pleasantly surprised. gave it 4 stars just because of the limitations due to requiring a Samsung galaxy device for full functionality.
1. Arrived in a generic box well packed and protected with all original accessories except for the OEM instruction booklet (which usually ends up getting tossed or lost anyways, not a big deal they are readily downloadable)
2. Synced right up to an old Galaxy S4 we had (for all device functions to work S Health and Samsung Gear Manager is needed which is exclusive to Samsung Galaxy devices)
3. Lasts her around 4 days on a single charge, mind that she does not keep the phone with her all day so it is not constantly syncing via bluetooth but it does record all activity that is manageable via the watch's interface (Sleep, pedometer, workouts, etc.)
4. Before i bouth it I was advised that it only keeps track of about 24 hours worth of activity, not so, she has been away from the phone for 4 days and when she was back in range it synced all recorded activity from the time it was last connected .
5. The default layout for the display is horizontal, with the current OS update on the phone the interface layout can be modified to work vertically (Settings->Display->Rotate Screen->Vertical) which makes it much easier to use and view
6. There are third party apps that allow you to use this device on non-Samsung devices, OpenFit will allow you to sync the data to Google Fit and a few other fitness tracker apps although you do lose some functionality.
7. Overall, for what we use it for this thing is great especially if you are an Android user looking for a nice looking fitness tracker

Since I bought mine refurbished, it didn't come with any instructions on the features, but after playing around with it for a while, I was able to figure out how to change goals. Fun to be able to change colors and styles and have no issues with its functions. The only thing that bugs me is that the connection to my phone keeps dropping. This means I no longer get notifications, which is one of the reasons I got a Samsung to match my phone. Other than that, works as expected.

Comfortable to wear and looks good. Seems to be holding up very well. Charge lasts about two days depending on the notifications you have set. With the app on your phone, you can get text, calls and email notifications. Which makes it more like a smart watch, not just a fitness tracker.

The Samsung Gear fit does a lot more than I thought it would, in conjunction with the S Fit app on my Samsung phone. The watch can measures steps taken, distance walked, active time, heart rate, quality of sleep and time slept. It communicates with the phone and sends notification for incoming calls, messages and alerts from supporting apps. It cannot receive calls or texts, but has the ability to respond via pre determined messages programmed into S Fit.
It can track exercises like walking, running, hiking and cycling. By communicating with the phone, I get reports of distance, pace, elevation etc. I am a hiker and wanted the capability of tracking weather. Supporting apps for Gear Fit weather give temperature, humidity, pressure, weather conditions and forecast. It has options for displaying time in two time zones, or time and temperature.
I was a bit concerned with the fact that the watch was refurbished. Best Buy assured me it came with 30 days Geek Squad warranty and one year Samsung warranty. The first watch I had stopped writing sleep data to the phone. Best Buy was very good about taking it back and replacing it with another refurbished watch. The replacement watch is working fine. .

Bought this as a refurbished product that is Geek squad certified for $99. Have gotten many compliments about the look of the watch. From a use point of view, I really like the watch. I mainly use the pedometer, heart rate monitor and text notifications. Have it linked up to my Samsung S4 phone with the gear fit app. Really cool. the only issue i have had was yesterday when the battery seem to have worn down to zero in less than 2 days. I could swear it was at 58% in the morning but i have to pay close attention to what happened. maybe user error on my part. Overall i really like this product.

Works great with note 3 and galaxy s4. Very little power drain on phone, lots of customization. Battery drain on watch noticeable with bright background, but that's pretty straightforward. I really like the black background with neon watch numbers anyway so I was getting over 3 days battery life. Pretty accurate with the pedometer and heart rate monitor, but I have hairy arms so I couldn't do it without flipping the watch around to my bottom of my wrist. Can access notifications for tons of applications and media playback from the watch was super convenient. Both people I bought it for were super happy to get them.

This smart watch has a lot going for it but many things going for it. The design is elegant and the curved screen is bright vivid. The software is what is lacking sophistication. You can't customize much of it. S-Health, samsung's pre-installed galaxy fitness software barely works with the watch, it stopped synching. I do like previewing txt and emails on the watch. It the basics well but not much more, I get that it is much cheaper than others but it should communicate flawlessly with other samsung apps as a basic necessity. Good but not great

This works really good at helping to track your fitness. It works as a pedometer, and reads your pulse. It works great with Samsung Health app. However, I do believe you can use it with other Android devices and apps. There are also some additional apps that can be installed on it, through your Android device.
It works good as a watch also, perfect size for what it does.
Although, More watch face customizations would be good.
Syncs up very easily to Samsung phones.
Oh, you can also see text msgs, but only respond to them if using the phones default msging app. You can add other notification's to it too, but you can't view or respond to the actual material

Does Not Yet Work with Samsung's Android 6 Phones

I purchased my Gear Fit with a Samsung Galaxy S5 from the carrier store August 2014. It worked great, and I liked the narrow fit across the wrist. Particularly useful is the "Find My Device" function to locate the phone when misplaced. I used the step tracker and a number of the many applets that run on the watch itself. I also liked the notification on my wrist when a new email arrived, and the ability to easily see who is calling before opening the phone.
When my Galaxy S5 died, I found the watch kept running about 10 days, then without ability to sync with the phone, it lost the time and there was no way to reset it. The phone must install and run Samsung's Gear Fit Manager app to communicate with the watch. I sought another Galaxy phone to keep using it. Trying out newer Galaxy Phones at Best Buy, I was puzzled that the Play Store on Galaxy S6 and S7 did not list the Gear Fit Manager available (though it still lists the applets, which will not work alone). A Galaxy Express Prime at the carrier's store gave the same result.
The watch itself prompts you try "apps.samsung.com/gearfit". This produces a message "This device does not support Gear Fit." (see attached screenshot).
Calling Samsung in April, I was eventually told that indeed their Gear Fit Manager app had not yet been updated to work on their Android 6 phones. When pushed they estimated this would happen in "a month, maybe two". The rep was unable to give me an incident or ticket number to track this as an outstanding defect or notify me when it has been fixed. As of 2016 June 10th, it still has not been.

I enjoy my tracker. It has a pretty good tracker, but it's definitely not for those who are more serious about runnung. It doesn't allow for pace for each mile, but averages for the whole exercise. I wish it also synced better with S FITNESS app so I don't have to bring my phone when using one of the workout plans. Other than that it gets the job done and is a pretty nice watch!
