So in an attempt to get my fat self up and walking, I decided to by a wearable fitness tracker. Having experience with two different models of fitbit, I wanted to check this one out.
Finding it refurbished at $150 was a fair price so I gave it ago. My first few days with this new toy, err, fitness tracker, were great.. Then somewhere around the week mark, two things happened - My watch stopped counting steps and the strap broke. (arg) - So I took this watch back to best buy and looked again at what was available.
After getting a full refund, I found out that BB was now selling this watch for $99 - So I reluctantly gave it another try. So my second watch came in and within 8 hours, the watch band broke. Examining it closely I noticed it failed in the same place the first one did - the plastic/silicone interface. I work in an office and no I didn't catch it on anything, I just flexed my wrist and pop....
Luckily, I found a Black SS band from another vender. I've worn this thing everyday for the last month and a half. The watch hasn't failed, the aftermarket band hasn't failed and I've lost 12 pounds.
So all in all I love the watch - If not for the sub par design of the band, I would have given this four stars.

Pros: watch is very sleek and comfortable. Its very attractive on a male arm but seems ro be a couple of mm large for a womans wrist. Rotary trim seems to be very sturdy and durable. Battery will last 4 days with normal usage and charges very quickly. There is an aftermarket band adapter that would have made this a 5 star if it was included.
Cons: wristband that came with watch was very small. There are a limited number of bands to buy . In powersave mode screen is too dim to see in outside light. Samsung pay needs to be loaded individually to watch. If you replace your phon. Watch has to be factory reset to sync up ( which means youll lose your watch faces.

I wish I could give a more detailed review but I cannot since I lost the watch a week after I picked it up due to the band breaking and it falling off while out & about.
I pointed out that the band was still damaged on this refurbed unit and the salesperson said the band wasn't included in the refurbishment.
I was going to purchase a new band with the difference I received on a Best Buy gift card for the price matching after I saw the exact same watch on sale within a week of ordering mine.

The watch software wasn't working. Got an error as soon as I booted it up. Scratches all over, band was broken at the glue, band was not Samsung brand, only came with a small size band and a large band.

Got this as refurbished product from best buy at $99 a few weeks ago. Was aware that some reviews claimed problems with refurbished items, but bb has 30-day money back guarantee, so I had a month to make sure it worked. I have purchased refurb from bb and other places and never had problem. I figure that if there is defect, it'll come up right away; maybe I've just been lucky, but I have been using and wearing every day for 2-3 weeks with no problems. The only issues to report are the strap or band does come off the face of the watch rather easily if it hits something. The band has come off twice just by hitting it or brushing up against a wall or door, and one time the watch fell off my wrist and hit the ground; fortunately, it did not crack or stop working. I am constantly checking the band to make sure it is not loose bc I don't want the watch to fall off and break.. Also, in order to get notifications about calls, texts, emails, etc., you have to sync the watch with your phone, which was easy to do, but the bluetooth on the phone has to remain on to stay connected to watch, which has caused my battery on phone to drain very fast. The battery on the watch itself is very good. I have it on constantly and do not have to charge for 3 days or more.

I bought the watch as a gift for my boyfriend. I was a little nervous because it was a refurbished product. I was even more nervous when it came in the mail and the strap wasn’t attached and there were no directions. However, the strap was easy to assemble and there are plenty of User’s guides online. Besides that, I am impressed with the capabilities of the watch! My boyfriend loves using the texting, ESPN, news, etc. apps. Since the watch doesn’t have a speaker, you can’t call or play music directly from it. However, the watch does connect to Bluetooth headphones, making it convenient for running. I believe this watch was well worth the price I paid for it. I would recommend this watch to anyone that doesn’t have an iPhone or doesn’t mind if it’s not the most up-to-date model on the market.

I unfortunately didn't read the reviews about the Geek Squad before I made this purchase, I wish I had. I have had the watch less than 5 days before while wearing it the staps broke.
I called Geek Squad and was told to go to the store where they will exchange the item for one that is not defective. After going to the store, wasting time that I will never get back, I was told my only option was to return the item and purchase a new one. I guess they really don't stand behind their refurbished products.
I wanted the watch after upgrading from the Gear Fit and was willing to get a replacement band, but that option was not offered and when I offered it was told it could not be done. Worst experience ever, first and last refurbished Geek Squad item for me.

I love this watch!!! I can receive emails, text messages and social media notifications right on my wrist. I love that you can change the band to match whatever outfit your rocking.... I can track steps, calories burned and exercise activities with the S Health app with one touch if a button. The only little negative with this watch is that I wish there were more activities to choose from in the S Health app!!! I am really glad I ordered this watch and it has really opened my eyes when it comes to my health!

The Samsung Health app is great to keep track of Health trends while the email, calendar, and messages apps keep me updated and sync well with my phone. The Gear S3 has been out for sometime but the Gear S2 is great in my opinion.

Purchased this as refurb from Best Buy for $140 and it was well worth that price. I have used the Apple Watch and the interface for the Gear S2 is on par with the Apple Watch and surpasses it in many cases. This watch is much more responsive than the Apple Watch and gets MUCH better battery life. The fitness tools and tracking are very good when paired to a Samsung phone. If you are looking for a good smartwatch to pair with your Samsung phone, this is highly recommended.

I kept looking to purchase the gear s 2 but was worried about breaking it after paying $300 for it. I kept checking to see if it would go on sale and almost bought a new one, open box for $200. When I found the refurbished one for $100 I figured why not. The watch is awesome! It works great! The only problem is that the first one that was sent to me had a broken strap, but I didn't have any problems when I returned it. The second one I ordered the straps were fine, but after only a few uses it busted as well. I bought new straps and have not had an issue since. Overall, great value for an Awesome product.

The Gear S2 runs Samsung's proprietary Tizen smartwatch OS, rather than the defacto Android Wear. While this gives Samsung more control over the integration of hardware and software, third party application support is practically non-existant. Samsung's choice of S-Voice pails in comparison to OK Google. So, while the OS is rather smooth, the functionality and expandability is limited given that very few software vendors are writing apps for Tizen OS. The number of Android phones that support the Gear S2 is also much less than a watch running Android Wear.
On the hardware front, the screen is beautiful and the rotating bezel makes navigating the OS a very intuitive affair. Where Samsung dropped the ball is with their choice to use a proprietary connector. Apple can get away with this because they offer a wide array of replacement bands and the third-party market is also rich in its offerings. No such luck with the Gear S2. Samsung's choices of replacement bands is embarassing and third-party support is also pretty much non-existant.
All in all, a good product could be SO much better if Samsung chose to go with Android Wear for the OS and stuck with standard band support a la Motorola with its 360 and Huawei and their smart watch.

Had this Gear S2 for about a month now. It is a really good watch. Wears good, works good, looks good. The only issue is there aren't many apps for the Tizen OS at the moment. That's not to say the basics aren't covered. They battery life is great, I consistently get 2 days with normal use.
I would recommend and buy again for sure.

I bought the watch around a month ago. I received it by mail. The packaging was not the oem but was very professional. I received everything that comes with the new except the box and manuals. It is easy to hookup with your phone, easy to use, and cosmetically new. Then I received an email from geeksquad offering free session to show me how to use it, which was not necessary for me but was a professional move.
I highly recommend it, and always love to buy from Best Buy.

I bought this item as a "refurbished" item because as a Grad Student, I wanted to save some money. This product is great, and I love it. It keeps me updated on my health including my sleep with the new update. I also get important updates with the news and texts.

You need to read all the reviews here for this refurbished watch. It seems as though the condition of the watch varies wildly. Some watches are dirty and marked up and bands are broken or missing and some look new.
My watch arrived with both small and large bands, the charging cradle and the USB cable. The large band was attached to the watch and the small band still packaged and unused. The watch was in perfect condition. The battery was discharged to 0 so it took a while to charge. It synced to my Honor 5X just fine and has been working perfectly for about a month. No issues at all. Some have complained that their band has broken after a few weeks or even a few days. Not mine. All is good. Overall, an outstanding price for a good smartwatch.
I would recommend this at the refurbished price but I would not buy a new one at the full price.
