It's a step up from its predecessor rated at 300W. Party lights and DJ modes are also lots of fun. Great buy!!

Did not know it was wireless until i took it out the box!! Amazing sound quality, powerful and strong. As well as having an exceptionally long lasting battery!

Im using it as a cheap alternative to fixing the stereo system in my car. Its... Fine. The bass can really boom with the bass boost mode on. Towards the loudest end of the range, the sound quality does take a slight dip. Ultimately, for the price (i bought an open-box item) it's probably the best that exists out there. Just know that if you really want to shake your windows (or neighbors), you might be better served upgrading to the next model up or one of the JBL partybox speakers.

Thank you for sharing your experiences with the MX-ST40B Sound Tower. I am sorry to see that your time with the unit was not ideal.
When using a USB thumb drive make sure that it is formatted to FAT or FAT32, any other file system is not supported. HDD storage devices and mobile (phone/tablet) devices are not supported through the USB either.
If you purchase another Sound Tower in the future, try doing a soft reset if your unit freezes. Pull the power cord for roughly 30 seconds before plugging back in and then power on the Sound Tower. If this does not work, try a hard reset, press the + & - (Volume UP/DOWN) buttons on the body of the Sound Tower at the same time for at least 5 seconds.

This happened to on sale for a good price and sounded really good in the store so I picked it up as did a friend of mine. We were both impressed with the sound quality and functionality. Between the two of us we now have 4 of these and very happy.
