Purchased during a sale. This smart outlet is great! You must have the Samsung Hub to be able to control away from home. What I love about this smart outlet is the function to repeat "Z" or the frequency for smart products like Philips Hue, Samsung SmartThings Products, etc. The outlet can also be used as a timer, and also monitor electricity usage.

The Samsung SmartThings Smart Outlet is a handy little device. It does require a SmartThings hub, which I purchased as Smart Home Monitoring Kit. Since I've installed the kit, I've added 2 more Smart Outlets. Our household uses them everyday. One works as a timer for a lamp. The second is for our bottle warmer (small crockpot). The third runs part of our Christmas lights. There are many uses, and adding the Smart Apps from the app on your phone/tablet allows them to become timers or associate them with other functions such as walking through the door. Very handy device.

we have an automated litterbox that sits in the laundry room. the unfortunate, the cats use the litterbox in the middle of the night and tends to wake us up. i already have my home connected to the samsung hub, i purchased this switch to turn off the litterbox when we run the action 'good night'. the outlet connected easily and has worked flawlessly for at least a month now. since the outlet is powering off the litterbox, the switch on the litterbox must be pressed to power it back on; i don't mind.

Have been using SmartThings for 6 months now and have been adding items as I see the need. The Smart Outlet is being used to cycle my SmartCam power on and off when I need to remotely reset my Cam after power outage or updates and l am not near my home. It works great and solves the problem.

This works perfectly as it is intended. It seamlessly syncs with my smart things hub. I just wish you could disable the blue light on in. I covered it up with electrical tape and that took care of it but the blue light is very bright

Picked one up so I can automate our Christmas tree lights with Smartthings. Was recognized and worked right away by the hug. We had the tree light turning on at 6pm and then turning off at midnight or if I put the house into "Goodnight" mode. I do wish it didn't cover up the other plug a bit, so maybe in the future they will have a sleeker design.

This has been great to turn lamps on and off from my phone. I've added one to my Christmas tree so that I can control it remotely. Integrates well with SmartThings and does exactly what it says.

This was my first SmartThings Modules a few weeks ago, currently I have 13. I only bought one of these round modules because it is large, has a too bright Blue light, and is a bit more expensive than a Samsung square module. I use it in my bedroom because the bright light is off when I'm going to sleep and it has the easiest button to find in the dark. My other modules have an on/off button that is hard to see or feel. BTW: The data sheets did not TELL me the pairing button is also an on/off button!

This is the 2nd generation of the smart plug, with smaller size comparing to the 1st gen. Pretty reliable so far. Works very well with my current system.

Works great. Our set up is smartthings hub and google home. Kids love turning on and off things by voice. Great to set as timer and useful.

If you're just getting started setting up a smart home, these are a great place so start. They add easy to the system and work great. These have been the easiest device to pair of anything I've set up. And getting it on sale at the price I did was an extra bonus. Bought this one to plug the Christmas tree lights into and set to turn on and off each day at specific times. And if needed, you can do those same functions manually through the app.

outlet easy to integrate with SmartThings hub and works as expected. Only issue may be thickness of outlet as it does stick out from wall plate.

I bought several of the Samsung - SmartThings Smart Outlets to add my Christmas lights into my SmartHome automation. I now control all them with either voice commands or from my phone with a single click. Simple to set up and use if you are familiar with SmartThings.

... to the smart home... needed something simple to make sure the hair accessories get turned off when no one is home, and the bath outlet is gfci so I couldn't replace the outlet like I've done elsewhere in the house... so used this smart plug, works great

This works very reliably in the SmartThings ecosystem. Don't forget it's also a ZigBee repeater since it's plugged into a main.

I bought this to power my Christmas lights this year. Stuck a extension cord in it and plugged all the lights in and connected to smartthings with no problem. Works really well with little effort and I can repurpose for something else when I need to.

I bought this not knowing where I was going to use it. I ended up using on this year's Christmas tree because it was right in front of the wall plug and I was tired of reaching around it. I also had it set up to work with my google home. So I could just say "Hey Google, Turn on Christmas Tree". That was so cool. I eventually had smartthings turn it off at a certain time. I'm now using it in my garage because I usually forget to turn off a work light after I've already parked the car. Had no trouble pairing the plug.

I bought this to control a fan in my home. I can turn it on and off even when I'm not home to get my house cool when I arrive. You can also use it on TVs and just about any other electronic you want to control remotely.

Works great everytime. No issues always responds to voice commands from Alexa and google home. Use it turn turn my bedroom fan on when i go to sleep, and use a separate one to control a grow light for my indoor plants.
