The item initially ran well, great speeds for an external drive it is an SSD of course. However, after a few months it now disconnects randomly for unknown reasons. I have been in contact with Samsung regarding my issue and am currently testing the item with a different cable. I cannot determine at this time if that is the issue, but Samsung's support assured me that my issue would be addressed once we determine the true source of the problem. I am definitely satisfied with this item despite my current issues and would highly recommend it to others in need of EXTREMELY fast portable storage.

I bought it to be used with my wife's ASUS laptop but it was being detected half the time but with my two desktops worked all the time, speed was pretty good so my only advice is try it and if it does not work with with your particular system just return it. I understand that the issue might be solved with a future BIOS update (for the laptop) or a firmware update for the portable SSD.. Why is it worth to try it? I is extremely small and light, actually the smallest portable SSD I have seen to this date

Frisky and dependable. Tiny, well constructed and ready to roll right out of the well packaged box. No computer knowledge required. This baby is truly plug and play. File transfers are quantum quick. Easily fits into a shirt pocket.

This thing is amazing, and super fast. My only complain would be that is sooooo small that I kind of have a fear of losing it. Transfers everything in fast speeds and the fact that its so small, it can go anywhere I go. Great buy!

This external SSD is an awesome drive. I transferred a 30GB form my internal SSD to this external in approximately 1 min 45 seconds. Samsung makes the fastest and most reliable SSD's on the market.

I bought this in order to back up personal files on my windows-based computer. It worked like a charm. Very easy to use. I do suggest that you read the FULL manual before your first use. See Samsung's website. I only got the 250MB size because I don't have a large amount of data to back up (no pictures/video).

As external memory to store my data I have used only Flash Drive and Hard Drive till this moment. Now I'm IMPRESSED with this little devise! The Samsung SSD transfers my data for 3 minutes compare with 1 hour work for my Hard Drive. This SSD is small and compact with a huge storage space, it's extremely light, beautifully designed and works great! I advise to read the activation instruction prior to use.

I haven't had any issues after using this external hard drive for about 6 months. Used on a Mac.

I really like this SSD, Very fast file transfers. It even gives you an option for password protection. Samsung makes great quality products and I would buy this product again.
