I use this for my Samsung washer - Device works well, but you will need a solid internet connection. Notifies you when cycle is complete through SmartThings app. Integrates with Alexa, BUT IS LIMITED....you can ask Alexa how much time remains on a cycle and she will tell you, but you won’t get a notification from Alexa when the cycle is complete. If there was an update where Alexa could announce the end of a cycle, this would have scored higher.

Product works as advertised, but setup was a nightmare. After 45 minutes of failed attempts somehow finally was setup in SmartThings and works perfect.

Added this HD2018GH Adapter to our Samsung Refrigerator because the manual recommended HD39N1230GW adapter was not available. It was easy to install (plug in) and works on our network with the Samsung SmartThings app. It has alerted us when the refrigerator door is left open too long (and when the door gets closed).

The pairing is frustrating and it took me several times to get it, but finally after lots of trials it's working now but the app is limited.
It's a bit strange that there are more modes on the actual washer than the app.

Awful functionality. Only works a few times after initial set up. We got consistent notifications from both washer and dryer for about three days after set up. Then it became once every other laundry load, until eventually both washer and dryer appeared permanently offline. At first I thought it was a connectivity issue, so I reset and configured again. NOTHING. The SmartThings app is absolute trash and there is zero useful troubleshooting help available through it. This is a cool product idea but horrifically executed.

I purchased this feb 15th and installed it. It has not worked. I have been working with Samsung for the past 27 days and they are not able to get my washer and dryer online. They r saying because I have an iOS device this will not allow me to configure my washer or dryer. Save ur money if u have an iPhone.

Works as expected. a bit difficult at 1st to set up but after that they work great. My only problem i have is the fact that i must turn on the smart cycle every time i start a load of laundry or drying clothes. Wish the washer/dryer would remember or know the device was connected and always be active for smart control.

I found that i needed this device after some research in order to connect my washer and dryer to the Samsung app. I wasn't too happy to find this information in my own. There was 2 different items listed as being needed but i bought 2 of these and they seem to work okay. The washer seems to have more control than the dryer through the app but you have to turn the washer in and connect it first for it to work everytime.

This is a waste of money. Do not work at all. do not waste your money. One complete disaster from Samsung. 2.4 GHz only, no connection to 5GHz band, in my case cannot connect to any. App does not recognize. 1 year later I am still trying and nothing. Samsung has changed the app three times and I couldn't connect to any. This was a birthday gift, cannot return.
