Let me first say, I'm a Canon camera person. I bought this Samsung camera on a whim because it seemed to be chock full of cool features and has a super high zoom. Once I got home it home I started reading about it and learned the picture quality was just "eh". I decided to return this camera the next day and bought the Canon SX700HS. I'm glad I did. The Canon takes GREAT pictures and was easy for me to figure out since I'm so familiar with them from previous purchases. Spend the extra $$$ and go with Canon. You won't be sorry. But, if you're looking for just some cool features and not quality pictures then this camera may be for you.

They offered a better version of this at a cheaper price, the features were not great so I returned it.

I purchased the new Samsung WB380F smart camera through the Best Buy web-site, assuming I was getting the new replacement for the two year-old WB350F. I still think that's the case but Samsung's web-site has no mention of the 380, and their tech support says it's not a U.S. model. The only reason this became an issue is because of problems I experienced with the online backup function -- the primary reason I chose this camera.
First, they no longer support Flickr, unlike the older WB350F. The 380 only supports Picasa (Google Plus:Photos), Facebook, YouTube and Dropbox. I successfully tested the Picasa upload but it only supported photos, not videos. Next I tried Dropbox but I couldn't login. I think the Dropbox site does not recognize the camera as a supported model? I assume this will all get sorted-out eventually but it was an annoying beginning.

As for the camera and photo-quality, I am very satisfied. The shutter lag is close to zero. The camera is metal and feels well constructed. The controls are easy and responsive (fast). The large LCD is also a touchscreen and provides additional controls, but you can use the physical buttons if you prefer.
The only caveat is that it has a wide-angle lenses so everything looks far away and close-up photos are fish-eyed. If you want to take a 'normal' photo of someone standing a few steps away, you need to use the zoom rather than getting closer.

I have a Samsung Galaxy Tab Pro, I have a Samsung Laptop, and I have a Samsung Galaxy S5. When I was shopping for a camera..i thought, the Samsung WB380 (I also tried the previous model WB350) would work great. WRONG.
The Android app does not always work. Sometimes I would set the timer, and it would not take a photo at all. Also, there was no countdown light to let us know when it was going to take the picture.
The shutter lag is bad. It takes longer than it should to turn on and take a picture...then take another picture. I have 2 small children and they move fast.
I ended up getting the Sony - DSC-WX350 and love that camera. It takes fast pictures. The app works flawlessly and has a countdown led light on the camera, and it takes fast beautiful pictures.

This is the first review I ever wrote for anything. That's how I feel about this camera. This is the Best Camera I ever bought. Its absolutly worth it. I paid about $90. It takes very good Sports, Indoor, and far pictures. I had many Sony cameras and returned most of them. If I have to buy camera again, I would pay $200 for this camera, its that good.
