Posted .Thank you for purchasing the Samsung Wireless Rear Loud Speakers. I am sorry to hear that you were not completely satisfied with its sound performance.
Here are a few settings you can change to adjust the surround effect to your preference:
1. Make sure that the source (e.g. TV output) is sending surround channels to the Soundbar. If the source is not surround, then set the Surround mode to OFF on the Soundbar by pressing the Surround button on the remote.
2. If the source has surround channels, select the desired Sound Mode from the Soundbar remote. Choices are STANDARD, MUSIC, CLEAR VOICE, SPORTS, or MOVIE.
3. Turn off Dynamic Range Control. This is done by pressing and holing the Sound Mode button while the Soundbar is in standby mode.
4. Increase the volume level of the surround speakers using the Sound Control button on the Soundbar remote control.

Realistic sound!

Everytime there is a knocking on the door in the movie it always makes my wife get up to check the door! LOL.

I bought it used in excellent condition once you turn them up to max volume you get that full immersion experience. I wouldn't pay full price definitely catch them on sale or buy refurbished.

Best Buy really needs to work on the accuracy of the descriptions when they are open box

Can barley hear them in a room. You can do better with a wired shelf speaker. Mouth for the WiFi to pair with sound bar. Had to do it three or four times before they would pair. Item returned.

The children loves it on his Marvel movies, the wife loves it on her Crown show, never knew how much it rains in Great Britain!

Further, the description of wireless rear speakers was deceiving because it required wires to the speakers as opposed to the speakers having the receiver built into them and use an AC plug to the wall.

I contact Samsung and they said to return it. I used the 8500 and it worked with very little effort. If the 8500 worked fine, the 9000 should work better. Bigger setup and heavier.

Please know that by design, the surround speakers are supposed to simulate sounds happening behind the viewer. Therefore, most of the time the surround channels are only used for ambient sounds, which are naturally lower in volume.
However, here are a few settings you can change to adjust the surround effect to your preference:
1. Make sure that the source (e.g. TV output) is sending surround channels to the Soundbar. If the source is not surround, then set the Surround mode to OFF on the Soundbar by pressing the Surround button on the remote.
2. If the source has surround channels, select the desired Sound Mode from the Soundbar remote. Choices are STANDARD, MUSIC, CLEAR VOICE, SPORTS, or MOVIE.

I didn't need to use the usb dongle. Makes movies or shows that much better with the rear sound feels like you are in the movie
