Great Surround Affect

They were easy to connect (5-10 min max). The sound is awesome. Sometime I forget I have them and start looking for where noises are coming from. I then remember that I have the speakers hooked up and they are picking up individual sounds from what I am viewing on the TV.

Great for getting the surround sound experience. Do keep in mind the speakers only emit certain sounds from movies or television shows, they are not mini sound bars!

Hard to find rear speakers of this value today. The sound quality is really nice, however wish it we're easier to install to the speaker stands I purchased to mount them on. Overall good purchase!

Unfortunately these really didn’t get the job done. They are too quiet and after playing around with settings I can only make them a little bit louder. Just enough to hear a whisper. I can hear them pretty well if I play music through the sound bar but that wasn’t my intended purchase of this item. Wasn’t worth returning for me because of the pandemic. I’ve seen that there are solutions to make them sound a little better with a amp and eq that you need to get separately. But that’s something I have to do more research on because clearly I didn’t do enough research on these supposed “loud” speakers. They sound good when I play music and you can sort of hear them when you do the atmos test off of you tube but only two stars because half the battle of purchasing something online, you can’t test in store, is making an educated decision and doing the research if something was worth the money. Unfortunately these were not. Hope I can make these sound better eventually because at the current moment these speakers look better in my living room than they actually sound.

Thank you for purchasing the Samsung Wireless SWA-9000S Rear Wireless Speaker Kit. I am sorry to hear that you did not experience the full potential of the surround sound system.
By design, the surround speakers are supposed to simulate sounds happening behind the viewer. Therefore, most of the time the surround channels are only used for ambient sounds, which are naturally lower in volume.
However, there are a few settings you can change to adjust the surround effect to your preference:
1) Make sure that the source (e.g. TV output) is sending surround channels to the Soundbar. If the source is not capable of surround, then set the Surround mode to OFF on the Soundbar by pressing the Surround button on the remote.
2) If the source has surround channels, select the desired Sound Mode from the Soundbar remote.
3) Turn off Dynamic Range Control. This is done by pressing and holing the Sound Mode button while the Soundbar is in standby mode. Depending on your soundbar model, you may or may not have DRC.
4) Increase the volume level of the surround speakers using the Sound Control button on the Soundbar remote control. Press the Sound Control button on the soundbar remote (looks like a gear), then select REAR LEVEL and use the Up/Down buttons to adjust the volume within a -6 to +6 range.

They pair great with my soundbar and really make movie watching nice and loud! When I just listened with my tv, I would have the volume between 40 and 50. With the soundbar and rear speakers, I can listen at 20 and it's already louder than the tv volume.
