I saw this movie from the beginning to the ending and it was very sad how the movie went when San Francisco, California was being rocked when a huge earthquake happened there that it caused the San Andreas fault and that brought me to a lot of tears but I was happy when my favorite wrestler The Rock started in that movie. I rated this a 5, it was excellent and I don't mind seeing it again. Thank you very much Best Buy, yours truly, Zaida Quijano.

Ready for a roller coaster ride of a movie adventure? Here you go! Super action from the very beginning! And disastrous(pardon the pun!) action throughout this disaster flick dealing with one of earth’s most destructive forces- earthquakes! One of the best ever put to film. Enjoy the ride!

The movie starts out with some dramatic flare, we find out that the main character is a hotshot helo pilot... the husband is at odds with his ex-wife and daughter. when the earth splits in two , he is on a mission to save his wife and daughter, it is highly reminiscent of the movie 2012, if you enjoyed that movie , you will love this one. It's a great movie if you want to have some fun... the 3d option is even better..

I enjoy purchasing the Blu-ray / DVD combo sets. I get to keep the Blu-ray and give the DVD's to my adult kids. It's a bonus when I get the digital copy to add to my Ultraviolet library. This time the movie came in a nice lenticular package. Great movie with non-stop action. I loved it!

I saw San Andreas when it came out in theatres last year. I greatly enjoyed it then, but didn't bother to see it in 3D. I bought the 3D Blu-Ray, and it's utterly amazing! I loved the movie, and 3D made it that much better! Completely satisfied with my purchase.

Pros:
Dolby Atmos on my 11.2 (7.2.4)
3D was fab on my passive 3D OLED
Cons:
Not much I can think of except it’s a bit of a typical disaster events kind of movie, doesn’t stand out like Twister for example.

Because the San Andreas earthquake is long overdue, it's not a matter of If, but when this earthquake can happen. As a movie of an earthquake in 3D Blu-ray was a great visual of what could happen and because it was only a movie it was extremely entertaining and interesting movie and it was life like watching it in 3D Blu-ray. It keeps you on the edge of your seat.
The movie gives you food for thought and if this is an event that is long overdue then it will be the most catastrophic event ever. I hope this never ever happens and just remains an entertaining experience. Don't forget the Popcorn and try not to spill it all over the couch. Yikes!!!

San Andreas is yet another action film that Dwayne Johnson excels in. The plot is nothing that we haven't seen before and, as implausible as it can seem at times, it's still fun. Johnson and Cara Gugino, as his wife, are properly heroic and Alexandra Daddario as their daughter is properly brave and resourceful. The multiple earthquake special effects are big and jarring and the HDR image and Atmos soundtrack compliment them perfectly. If you want a big, bold and loud action film to show off your fancy home theater system, San Andreas, at a sale price, is good choice.

An action-filled romp of the modern disaster film

The Rock leads the way as Alexandra Daddario charms audiences as his somewhat unbelievable college age daughter (she's full grown and looks it). But, suspend disbelief and enjoy the action of this modern disaster film. There's little by way of new ideas, but the action makes up for it. The 3D BluRay delivers all of the depth of the cinematic adventure from the comfort of your living room. The digital version transfers as UHD 4K (at least mine did).

On 4k, this movie was a blast. I saw the movie for the second time in 4k and because of some tough family times in my own life; this movie was hilariously therapeutic for me as Rock was well... the Rock and had his cheesy lines and Amanda... wow!!!
Action and special effects were great and Atmos was amazing. It's also a pro-American film...

Very enjoyable especially in 3D. 3D is not a gimmick. I wish TV manufacturers had not abandoned 3D. Granted, you need a big TV to get the most benefit of 3D, but the field of view and clarify of 3D is second to none on any sized TVs. Dwayne Johnson is getting better and better and that's why he has become one of the leading men in Hollywood.

This movie will never be called a classic, but to me is a great movie to just escape the everyday junk that happens to all of us. I have actually seen it quite a few times before and bought it anyway because sometimes I just need a movie to escape into. This one of those movies for me.
Get it!! You can't go wrong!!

This movie definitely threw me off when I saw it since I dont really go for these type of flicks so while watch it caught myself like I totally should've seen this when it was released in theaters. The Rock has been doing nothing but hits back to back. This movie under the right specs will give you countless wow moments.

watched San Andreas for my class on natural hazards and disasters. I payed special attention for disaster movie stereotypes and information, then decided if this would be realistic or not based off what I have learned so far in my class.
San Andreas is an epic tale of The Rock (Ray Gaines) saving his family during the largest earthquakes ever recorded in history. Being aptly prepared for his task through his time in the marines as well as being the LAFD search and rescue helicopter pilot, he manages incredibly dangerous natural hazards. Not only does the Rock (Ray) rescue his ex-wife from a collapsing skyscraper due to an earthquake but performs incredible feats such as safely landing a crashing helicopter, rides a tsunami wave like a surfer, and saves his daughter in fantastic fashion. Some of my favorite scenes include when The Rock pilots his rescue helicopter, such as in the opening scene. I also enjoyed the skydiving scene, as The rock was very non-chalant about the whole ordeal.
Some of the scenes that I found to have interesting “believability” factor would be the Hoover Dam earthquake scene, the whole Caltech storyline, and the tsunami scene in San Francisco. In the Hoover Dam scene, I enjoyed the instance where before the dam breaks, you can see an emergency release of water. I believe this might happen as the dam seeks to maintain an appropriate pressure. However, this believability dissipates quickly as the main scientist stands literally feet away from the broken dam as literal tons of water woosh past him. I think the whole Caltech storyline was a bit hokey, as they found a foolproof way to predict earthquakes through aa precursor magnetic fault. This is just blatantly not true but makes sense insofar as the main plotline. I also think the tsunami scene in san Francisco is hilariously over exaggerated. I was laughing super hard when The Rock rode the tsunami wave like a surfer in his boat. Many of the action scenes I feel are made to be more fun to watch rather than scientifically accurate.
If the world’s largest earthquake had hit California, I do not doubt the massive destruction it would cause, and the temporary collapse of society on the west coast would certainly occur. However, I do not think that we would be able to predict and notify the public like they do in this movie. It would be a tragic event that the world would remember. However, I feel that maybe the earth would not split open like in the movie, nor there be mountain tall tsunami waves. One thing I think the movie did a good job depicting however is the role of heroes. I believe people will step up in times of crisis just like The Rock did. If I had one takeaway from this movie, it’s the importance of being a first responder and taking action.
