This is a very easy to use MP3 player. User interface is very simple. I bought this to get me through until I get a phone with more memory. However I like it so much that I'll keep it even past that point. The clip it comes with is nice. Very light and easy to forget you have it on. The buttons work nicely and how you would expect (up is up, down is down, and so on). I never use the timer. The radio works pretty well for what it is, I tested the radio out in the middle of nowhere and got all my stations in and a couple were only a little fuzzy. In town radio should work fine. Accessing the SD card is simple although many file types, it seems, are not supported. Pictures, for instance, cannot be viewed in jpg. Most documents cannot be opened. The audible books is a nice touch, though I haven't tested that. Internal/External memory cannot be merged, so the two music sources remain separate from each other and you manually switch back and forth. Deleting songs directly from the player as you listen is a nice touch. Select song, song starts playing, hit down, then select delete, then select yes. Slight delay while deleting, as expected, then automatically takes you to the next song. The music will stop if you try multitasking on it. Using timer, or trying to view folder files on the card and so on. No cover for the SD card slot. This has got the shuffle feature which is great. You copy and paste music from your computer to the player. Big bonus there. Charging takes a couple hours, but I can get a couple off one charge easy. I didn't try the earbuds that came with it, I used my Skull Candies, and the sound quality of the music is amazing for this little thing. It uses a universal charging cable, another huge bonus. One less cable to keep around since it works with my phone's cable. You can customize and shut off features you dont want to use. I shut off the timer and folder because I never use them. So as I scroll through my options, I only see Settings, Music, Radio, and Books. Those can be turned back on at anytime in Settings, under Customize and pushing the Right button to toggle on or off. To avoid any issues with having to switch back and forth between internal/external memory (if you only have a few gigs of music like me) just spend the extra few bucks and get the 8gb. I managed to catch a sale and saved $13. All in all, with the very minor issues, that are really more a minor annoyance, this is a good player for anyone who's looking to save a few bucks and doesn't mind not being to multitask or view pictures and documents, and I would buy it again.

I am so not with using my phone to listen to music. It is a distraction. This is perfect for people like me who just aren't into a big clunky device for MUSIC Only. This MP3 player is ALWAYS with me. My wife calls it my other wife. It holds a great amount of music with the internal 8 GB and an insane amount more with the 32 GB card I plug into the expansion slot. The controls are easy and not hard to learn how to navigate whatsoever. The stock headphones were actually pretty good. I was bummed when they died from overuse. But you know... headphones have a short life expectancy. I have dropped it a thousand times and it never stops working. It is tough, small and lightweight. The clip is superb! Great for working out. The price is a plus but I would gladly shell out twice what I paid for it because it is AWESOME!

I got this because I needed something to drown out the noise in my company's newly-renovated "open floor plan" work area. I didn't want to spend a lot of money on an MP3 player and didn't want to be stuck buying everything from Apple. This seemed like a great option and the reviews were pretty decent. I have been happy with it so far. I bought a 16GB mini SanDisk to put in the additional storage slot, since I knew the 8GB that is built in would not be enough for the music I want access to -- I love that you can add storage space to this device.. It's easy to use and the music sounds good enough for my needs. I love that it is small and clips onto my clothes to allow me to move around. (I could have used my smart phone for this purpose, but it's large and I don't want to run down my battery by playing music all day on it.) I have even brought the Clip Sport home with me at times to take on my walks. It's a great product for the price. I'd definitely recommend it if you're looking for a simple MP3 player. It may not have as good of sound as other options (a high-end stereo for example), but it's good enough for my needs at work and very hard to beat the price.

The SanDisk - Clip Sport 8GB* MP3 Player - Blue, is a great little music player. The compact size makes it very portable. It is easy to use, you can just create folders of your music and drop and drag them to the device. It will play mp3, AAC and other music formats. The earphones are quite comfortable. I use it mainly when I sleep to play relaxation music. It's size and convenience also make it great for the gym and it can easily be connected to your car if you have a mini input jack. The fact that it can accept Micro SDHC disks to expand the memory to 32 or 64 GBs allows you to carry around all the music you wish to have. It also will store pictures and audiobooks in addition to having a radio and a stopwatch. It has a 25 hour battery life which is an excellent feature. Al this for a very reasonable price of $39.00. i am very pleased with this purchase.

Works great. Small and light and battery lasts long. I don't use the software to sync I just connect it up as a drive and drag and drop the music but either way it's great and the music sounds good. I use it when I go running and with the head phone cable flipped over the ear they don't fall out and the clip keeps the player snug to my pocket. I have a 32meg micro sd card with it and I have not had any problems with it.

Both my husband and I use the Sandisk Clip MP3 players. We have Zip, Plus and now the Sport. All are basically the same. Light weight, easy to use, easy to load, FM radio, great battery, small, and most important - the clip. We highly recommend these MP3 players. Excellent value for the cost. They will be perfect when they are bluetooth enabled.

This item was 39.99 and purchased for our 9 year old to have for his music collection. It is very easy to use and he quickly picked up how to use and navigate the item. It is small, compact and has a strong clip on the back to use while excercising. Ear buds came with it and they are a higher quality ear bud, which surprised me at this price. This is an 8GB storage space and holds PLENTY of songs for his needs. He is happy with it and it seems to be a good buy. We purchased MP3 player over ipod so we are not stuck only buying itunes for his music. He uploaded his own CD's and some other songs off various other websites. We did also buy, in addition, a carrying case to hold all the cords and MP3 Player and keep it organized and together.

I bought this for my wife's x-mas present to replace and old 512mb unit. The old sandisk unit still works but it fills up easy and it takes a AAA battery every other day. This unit is small and has a rechargeable battery, it also has a clip she finds very useful. She now has her whole music library on this one and still has room for some audio books. It even has and EQ to adjust the sound tone to your liking.

While I was waiting for my 8GB Clip Sport to arrive, I was reading some of the reviews under this product and was getting a little bit anxious. Being an owner of Sansa Clip+ for MANY years, I had a very good experience with Sandisk mp3 players, that's why I was surprised about some of the people's comments where instead of reviewing the actual player they were bashing it based on comparison to other Sandisk models. Now, after receiving it and having a chance to use it - I can share with you my thoughts about it. Clip Sport arrived in a nice compact package with a front see-through display showing the entire outline of the player and a detailed list of features. I like the presentation of products, and pay a close attention to the packaging. It's always hard to judge the size of the product from on-line pictures, so I was pleased to see how compact it was out of the box, about 60mm x 40mm x 10mm (+ clip). The included accessories were a short rigid usb to micro-usb cable (finally, I don't have to deal with mini-usb and can use a ton of my smartphone micro-usb cables!!!), a set of headphones with 3 pairs of silicone eartips, and a quick start guide. Headphones have a flat tangle-free cable, a chin slider after y-splitter (helps with cable management to keep it tight), and an angled 3.5mm gold plated headphone connector, The earbuds have a soft touch outside finish and a clear external L/R marking. They are very lightweight and have a comfortable fitment with a nice seal when a right size eartip is selected. True, these are not audiophile quality headphones, but it was still nice to include these in a package. Actually the sound is not too bad, with a signature of enhanced bass and rolled off upper mids and treble. It's really not the end of the world because you can use Clip Sport EQ presets to brighten the sound. Try Jazz preset and you will hear a pleasant improvement. Though, not an accessory, I still consider built-in clip as one, a generous wide clip to attach this mp3 player to your cloth. Now, about a player itself. From the first look, you notice that display takes almost half of it's size now. No more squinting while looking at the song title or the song artwork which Clip Sport is capable of displaying. Yes, resolution is pixilated, but what do you expect from 1.44" LCD screen? This is not a video player or smartphone/smartwatch. Resolution is adequate enough for the functionality of this player. The control buttons located on the lower part of the player with a "floating" 4-way Play/Pause, Skip Next, Skip Prev, and Menu. A multifunction button is located in the middle, and a separate Back button in the upper left corner. On a left side you have micro-usb port and dedicated volume up/down below it; and on a right side there is headphone jack and micro-sd port. Though Clip Sports is a little bit bigger than Clip+, it still fits in a palm of your hand, very lightweight, and with a solid feel. You power it up by holding the multi-function button down, and you turn it off the same way. One thing you do need to get use to, and perhaps it will be fixed in the future firmware updates, this multi-function button needs to be held for a split second longer to register it's selection, which on a few occasions turned off mp3 player display (also stopping the music playback). So, you need to get use to it. Navigation of the player was very intuitive, don't even need to look into instructions. Scrolling through the main menu revealed selection of Music (content of the internal memory), FM Radio (with a decent pick up of stations), Folder view of internal or external (micro-sd) memory, Card view (of micro-sd card), Sport functionality (Stopwatch and Timer), and the Settings menu. I know some people mentioned about internal and external content being in two separate lists; I personally don't see a problem with that. Do you really need to integrate 8GB of internal memory with 16GB or 32GB of your external micro-sd card? I can only see it a problem for some who use high resolution FLAC files that take a lot of room and you have a big chunk of your music library spread across internal memory and external flash card - but for basic active use, in my opinion it's not a show stopper. And perhaps future firmware updates will fix that. Sports functionality was a great addition, but I wish while Stopwatch and Timer were running I could have been able to use left/right buttons to skip between the songs. Also, hoping this will be addressed in a future firmware updates. I know a few people mentioned in reviews that library audio books were not supported; I can't comment on that since I don't use that media. All my songs are 320kbps mp3s and FLAC, and they sound great on this little guy. I actually tested it using some of my more expensive headphones to confirm sound quality of internal D/A output. No complaints here. I was also very pleased that once connected to computer, I didn't have to search for Clip Sport in My Computer folder, because it actually showed up as a logical drive letter on my laptop (for both internal and external micro-sd). It makes it easier to copy files this way. YMMV, but I was actually pleased with this mp3 player. It does everything it claims to do. Has a great build quality and fantastic battery life (rated up to 25hr), it has a great sound quality, plays lossless audio formats, and comes with a set of headphones which can be tweaked with EQ (to boost back the missing highs). And I'm sure with a future firmware update all the little nitpicking will be taken care of. For critical audio listening, I have my bulky $350 X5 DAP, while for playing music while exercising or doing other extreme activities, I will use my lightweight compact $50 Clip Sport!

Honestly I wasn't expecting much... But this little thing works great, the battery lasts for 2-3 full days of music listening. I picked up a pair of smoking skull buds for the ears though this little pocket player comes with buds as well. Worth the price, you can also separate songs in folders so nothing gets mixed up. You can lock it so it doesn't skip around and it comes with a clip. Little smaller than the size of a credit card.

I was looking to replace my Ipod Touch (3rd gen) because it was doing weird things on playback, so went looking to see what options were available. The package says it will play music, FM radio, audiobooks, function as a stopwatch, has a micro SD slot, has AAC for DRM-free ITunes compatibility and has a 25 hour battery life. I wanted something that would easily download music using drag and drop, something with an FM radio (in case of a hurricane and internet not available), and something with an SD slot. Since this one was cheaper than the Samsung model, I went with it. The more I use it, the more I like it. I find the battery life very good. Also, it was super easy to load my music on. A bonus I wasn't expecting is that when I plugged it in to the USB of my vehicle, it displays the song titles, artists, etc. just as my Ipod did. Also when I go on bicycle rides or walking, the clip feature allows me to easily attach it to my shirt and listen to music or an FM station if I have pants without pockets. I am very satisfied with this product.

I wanted a dedicated music player so I wouldn't have to carry my phone with me while cutting the grass, working out, etc - and took a chance on this one since it was on sale. I really wasn't expecting much at this price, but I have to say I am pleasantly surprised it's ease of use and sound quality. If you want a no frills player that doesn't take up a lot of space in your pocket - I definitely recommend this one. Pros: Very small and has a clip to secure it to your shirt, pocket, etc., good sound quality, easy to transfer files - just drag them from your music library to the player, easy to use Cons: It is plastic, so it won't take a beating. Also, you can't lock it - it will change the song when bumped

I bought this one because I was returning my 4gb clip. This was the only one avail and I had a extended warranty on the 4gb, but BestBuy did not transfer my warranty to this one. If you get this clip, it is great for running or biking. I really like the clip. I recommend you get the extended warranty because the clip will have problems with the volume and arrow buttons eventually. BestBuy will swap it out for another no problem. However, this last experience wasn't my best, as I upgraded 4 gb more and now are without my warranty : ( I was in a rush so I didn't want to make a big deal. Now my 8gb is having problems with the down arrow and I don't have an extended warranty. It has been 2 months.

The Clip MP3 player is far better than I expected, and my expectations were already high based on reviews I read. The engineering is phenomenal. Very small and light, yet tough and durable. Yes, I've dropped it a few times. I use it in my car via auxiliary input, in my pocket connected to a headset. It swings around at the end of my headphone cable. But the build would be meaningless if the sound quality were poor. It's not poor. In fact, it's excellent, with enough power to drive my headset and the four speakers in my car. The bass is solid and tight. Highs and mids crisp and clear. No problems thus far with battery life. Suggestions for improvement: allow recharging from a wall outlet, design a better on/off switch, improve the looks. It looks like a toy. I have the model with the blue trim. The price is unbeatable for the quality. I'd definitely recommend this player to family and friends.
