I am using this memory card in a Canon SD770 IS and I noticed a SIGNIFICANT difference in photo save times compared to regular and ultra sandisk memory cards!!! I took this camera and card on my trip to Alaska and it made taking pictures so enjoyable!!!! I was shooting away while my friend had to shoot and wait for his pictures to save! The capacity was great, so I didn't have to carry extra memory cards, and I could use a higher megapixel on my camera!!! It is expensive, but it's great to capture those great flash moments!!!! If only i had a Canon SLR.......

What have I been thinking? I have been using the Cheap stuff thinking as long as it is class 6, I should be fine. And honestly, I was. That's until I saw this one for $39.99 at Best Buy. The price meant I would only pay a bit more than double instead of quadruple of what I paid for my other cards. Oh what a difference. If my Nikon DSLR could talk, it would have been asking me: "Why pay all that money to buy me just if you were going to use an SDHC card that limits my performance?" Instantly, I was able to take more simultaneous shots in very little time as the write speed was obviously superior to what I was used to. This in itself makes the card worth it. Other stuff, like faster transfer rates to my computer were icing on the cake. And I can breath a bit easier knowing that I can always call SanDisk in case something happens. Unlike the off brands I was buying. I'm never skimping on an SDHC card again. Right now, I have $50 worth of cards I am no longer using. I could have sucked it up and used the money to buy this one. I was pulling hairs to find a negative. The only one I found was than it holds 30 less pictures is RAW mode. Around 520 instead of 550. Not a deal breaker. Definitely a must have if you have a DSLR.

Blazingly fast, if your device can handle it

I purchased two of these cards on a recent sale for half of their regular price. Tested in a Nikon D90 digital SLR camera in continuous high-speed shooting mode, it can sustain nearly the D90's maximum sequential frame rate (the card can write at nearly 4 rames per second) in Large Fine JPEG mode and still can sustain about 2 frames per second in RAW mode. One small niggle: This exemplary speed can only be achieved when these cards are used in a device which can take any advantage whatsoever of their speed. The Nikon D90 digital SLR camera and one of SanDisk's very newest external card readers can tap into the cards' proprietary timing modes, allowing sequential read and write speeds well above 22 MB/s and approaching their claimed 30 MB/s speed. But when used in a device which cannot tap into this proprietary timing mode (and thus limiting the supported modes to the maximum official SD Card Association speed of about 22 MB/s), these cards perform no better than most earlier 133x and 150x cards - and slower than some of the earlier Extreme III cards from SanDisk. Overall, the Extreme III 30 MB/s Edition is a strong performer, especially in devices which take anywhere near full advantage of its performance.

Super fast flash for Vista ReadyBoost and storage

I bought this Extreme III 8GB 30MBp/s for sale at $39 at Best Buy and I couldn't resist the urge to try it out as a ReadyBoost Flash Card. It is plenty fast for Vista to detect it as ReadyBoost (RB) capable memory. Vista allocated 4 of the 8 GB for RB and the other 4 I use for storing rickety new game demos and files. Be sure your laptop's media card reader will support SDHC memory of this size. I have the Gateway 6860-FX (which also was another best buy from Best Buy) whose card reader works with just about every kind of SD card I've insterted. Readyboost helps my applications open near instantly as well as keeps the harddrive activity to a minimum during routine applications and websurfing. Buy it...there are many practical uses for a solid, fast 8GB SD card at this sale price.

    THE dSLR card to have!

If you have any DSLR camera, especially one that does HD video, then you need this card. I played with some of the eye-fi cards, which have cool features, but at class 6, they just aren't robust enough to hold up to my Canon t3i. The Class 10 speed when combined with the extreme features of this card allow for transfer rates up to 30 mb/s. For those unfamiliar with the class system for these cards...in order for something to be considered a "Class 10" card, it must have a minimum transfer rate of 10 mb/s. This card triples that. That means photos and video on the camera will be transfered to the card faster and cleaner, and the transfer from your computer will be much faster as well. I was able to get this card on sale for $29. If you can find it remotely close to that, it's a steal. Don't spend $1k on a camera and then $10-$20 on a cheap card! You wouldn't buy a sports car and put 87 unleaded in it. Don't do that to your camera!

This is the best memory card I've ever had. It processes pictures much faster than an ordinary memory card. And the picture quality is much better than orther brand I had used before. Worth every penny of my investment, just love it.

    Fastest SDHC Card

If you have a DSLR capable of 5FPS or higher, you will want this card. This card is fast enough to take 100+ photos at that speed so it won't have to slow you down. Other class 10 cards aren't the same!! SanDisk underrates their cards, to be class 10 it only needs 10Mb/s Write, this one is rated at 30Mb/s! Transferring photos onto my computer is a breeze too. You will also notice some difference in regular cameras with time between shots if you are currently using a Class 4 memory card. I have never had a SanDisk memory card fail on me through drops, moisture, and tons of re-formatting. Overall it is well worth the price if you don't want to be slowed down.

Good for taking HD Video and large format pictures

I take HD videos at 1080i and continuous pictures at 3 per second. The SD card has to be fast to transfer all the data. After using it, I have not experienced and lost frames. At 30 mb transfer rate, I can take long videos and large format pictures fast with no concern about waiting for the transfer to finish before I can take another shot. I only wish I could afford the 16 gb size.

I use this card on my Canon T2i. I shoot on a continuous mode, sometimes taking one picture at a time or twenty. This last weekend I was taking a picture of a big group of little kids. I held the shutter button down for a full minute. I never had an issue with pictures or the camera. The write speed is amazing. I have shot a little video with my camera and saw no issues there as well. If you are getting a high mega pixel DSLR the extreme is the only way to go!

I highly recommend this memory card! In my Nikon D-90 it holds over 2,100 photos at the large picture setting. It stores the information recorded very fast and keeps you ready for the next photo you want to take.

The fastes SD card there is

This is that fastest card there is and in my opinion, its worth the price. However, I got this one on sale for $50 so I bought two. It took about 10 seconds to load 176 photos that equaled about 870 MBs onto my computer! That's FANTASTIC

The cards write speed is great for the higher megapixel cameras. I use it in an olympus tough 8010 and there is no lag when using the high speed photo mode on the camera. If you camera requires a high speed card this one is excellent

A must if you're wanting to take highspeed images and for writing RAW\JPEG. Just wish other manufacture would step up and produce the same type of card. Paying for the BRAND NAME sucks.

Not knowing the difference between memory cards aside from their sizes the associate showed me this card at class 10 (fast write) not bad for 29.99 when the 4gb card at class 6 was the same cost. Great product for the price
